The best restaurants serving British food in Sedbergh and Kirkby Lonsdale South Lakeland North West

Stop off for nostalgic visit it was cold but soon warmed up with a cheese and bacon burger with onions my friend and I ate them in the van and was blown away so beautiful nearly had another one but had to get back to Macclesfield. Thank you so much xxx

Whilst visiting an old friend nearby we spent one night at the Red Dragon in Kirkby Lonsdale. We received a very warm welcome and an extremely cosy double room with an en-suite bathroom. The room was spotless and extremely well prepared. Breakfast was served in the bar but was ideally laid out as an eating area. Our waitress, Helen, was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed an excellent traditional breakfast. A wide range of choice from cereals and croissants to a full English cooked breakfast. Chatting to other guests we found that those we spoke to were also delighted with the overall service. Price was not the reason we chose the Red Dragon but at £78 all in it was excellent value. Will we come back? Definitely!

Visited for lunch - fish and chips, and Sunday roast. All absolutely excellent. Only quibble - when seating customers in a fairly empty restaurant, don't put them right next to other tables! 🙂

Nice little pub with good range of ales and beers. Food was what you expect in a little pub, good portions and decent enough quality. Team were lovely and would definatly visit again!

Lovely homely traditional pub, ideal after a long Dales walk. Beer is well kept and tasty, good range too. Dogs welcome.
