The best restaurants serving British food in Duke's Lancaster North West

I attended our annual Christmas celebration here. The food, staff and service were excellent. The table looked very festive with candles, crackers and decorations. We were made to feel very welcome. I would recommend The White Cross as a perfect venue for a Christmas celebration.

The food was delicious and the service was really friendly. Honestly Felicity the general manager couldn't do enough for us. Really enjoyed our meal, definitely will be back!

Food was first class it was a shame we were the only table on a Saturday night. Staff very professional.

We waited over two hours for a bowl of chips and chicken goujons. After an hour were told it would be 15 minutes! Only offered one free soft drink as an apology

Uh. Went here for food after attending Light Up Lancaster. Good food, good service, particularly Adam & anthony. Good selection of beers too, quite impressive really - but then - we sat down.. Group of 3-4 guys & 1 female in the upstairs seating area, taking over the whole place. Eating? Nope. Drinking. Nope. Just hanging around in the pub for their friend (works behind the bar, alexia? alexis?) to finish her shift. Constantly shouting down the stairs to her "how long left of your shift now? how long now? Whats the wifi code?" Good food, good drink but if you dont want to eat in a place that is like being in the middle of student accommodation, don't go here - I won't again.

Another great real ale bar in Lancaster this pub is in the centre of Lancaster if want food or real ale well worth a visit Saturday 19th August 2023 Again, I visited this pub. This absolutely fantastic rrwleal ale pub and gothic monstrosity of a building which dates from the late Georgian period The staff are great. Toilets absolutely filthy everything else ok

Lovely atmosphere in here. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was both interesting and tasty. Dog friendly in the bar area too, where you can also eat.

Lovely little bar with huge selection of Gin! Really close to the train station so ideal location. Lovely staff and great for people watching at the window
