Went in for Saturday evening beers and then for breakfast next morning. It was ok, but a bit flat (atmosphere) for a spoons. Breakfast was an experience, seemed like a cross between gods waiting room and a soup kitchen

UNBELIEVABLE AND FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE I went here with my friends and ordered a martini through their app, and when it arrived, the waiter asked for my physical ID. I didn’t have it with me, so I asked if I could show it on my phone—he flatly refused. He asked to speak to the manager, hoping for some common sense and resolution, but he also refused to give me a refund. The entire situation was ridiculous, and my friends and I were laughing at how absurd it all was. I then asked if my friends could just have the drink instead (at the bar counter itself), just to be safe, but nope—he refused again. At this point, I was beyond frustrated and told the manager I didn’t even want the refund anymore, just the food. The manager told me I couldn’t even stay in the building without an ID—what? After more back-and-forth, he finally agreed to refund me for the food. I thought this was over, but then, the manager handed me a refund receipt for a measly 1.35 pounds and says he couldn’t refund me because WE WERE LAUGHING? That’s right—LAUGHING. As if enjoying a moment with my friends was some kind of crime. It gets worse. He claimed the police might come, and they might lose their license if we stayed any longer? —absolute nonsense. It felt like the manager was pulling excuses out of thin air just to cover his own incompetence. The staff, including the waiter, were not only unprofessional but seemed to have a certain attitude that made the whole experience feel uncomfortable and borderline discriminatory. The food itself was bland and unappetizing, and honestly, they only gave it to me because they had no choice. All in all, it was a completely ridiculous, frustrating, and unnecessary ordeal. The owner needs to train their staff better in terms of customer service!!!!

We sat outside in January as we were bike touring, ordered via the app. Super fast delivery and very friendly staff indeed. Lovely warm food on a cold day.

Great customer service very fast drinks especially from alex. At one point I started to choke on one of my chips and Alex was there to save me, perhaps he saved my life. Overall very great Alex definitely deserves a raise.

Good location, food like expected, but long waiting for both drinks (10-15 min) and food (25-30 min). Visited on a Saturday around 2 PM, with 3/4 of the pub full.

Large Breakfast for £5.99 and a pint @ £1.79. Where else can you go for this? Enjoyed the food and the ale, there was a shortage of staff but overall great experience and value.

It's alright. Standard wetherspoons that always far too busy and desperately in need of more space! You'll be luckily most of the time to get a seat. Food is nothing to write home about, but you can't expect much for the price.

Entré hoy , absolutamente asqueroso tan sucio que era irreal , iba a tener comida pero después de ver todas las mesas sucias con platos vacíos en ellos , conté 4 pajitas usadas en el piso junto con basura , no me atreví a ir a los baños , el pobre personal estaba haciendo allí mejor pero una empresa tan grande emplea sangrientamente un vaso , colector de platos , no visitará de nuevo la vergüenza porque solía ser un gran pub Evan los vasos de lager fueron los correctos la lager era plana , mantente bien lejos del lugar , en otras palabras limpia tus pies en la salida

This is a very heart spoken review as i do not usually place reviews and definitely not bad ones. Firstly I ventured over to weatherspoons for a meal with my family, my peers who are old enough for a alchaholic beverage with their meal was declined even after proof of ID I think along with my family that this was wrongly done and was slightly discriminative as my dad's bold and ginger and my sister is also ginger and my sisters boyfriend is mixed race, and identifies as they/them. As a side note, we were not requested for any pronouns on entrance. After this, as they were given soft drinks, we did not get any refund for the extra cost that the beverages would have been. We ate our meal and it was good, just the service and atmosphere was not how a 'pub' should be. We will not be returning. 0/10

I sited this weatherspoons on Saturday 1st January 2022 This was a very good clean Lancaster pub which sold a really good range of hand pumped ales on my visit Saturday 30th November 2024 Today, I revisited the Weatherspoons in Lancaster. This is a really clean, well looked after massive weather's pools pub. This pub has great staff and a good local clientelle. The pubs only fault which has cost this goodvpub a star was today they was not a good choice of guest hand pumped ales on as always near christmas witherspoon get obsessed with putting on Dark earthy😝 tasting Christmas ales.

Quiet a small place and can get very busy, tables are not cleaned so can be difficult to find some ware to sit,

Toilets absolutely filthy everything else ok

Ordered 2 pitchers and they took nearly 30 minutes to come. No ice. No straws. No glasses. Disgusting in my opinion. Not even a busy day

Alex Murray has great customer service skills and is a credit to the business!!! Alex served our drinks and addressed us all in such a polite and eloquent way. His professionalism is echoed in his ability to make customers smile and make them feel welcome. Despite being new to the team, I believe Alex can go far and deserves the highest wage increase wetherspoons can offer.

I've been to many different Weatherspoon's everywhere some of them are really good whilst this one is ok but the table service is terrible I ordered a Pepsi Cherry drink but it never came when I walked up to the bar to ask where it is I saw the waiter's tray with my Pepsi Cherry drink on it it was just left there with nobody picking it up and taking it to our table. I think table service needs to improve.

Love Wetherspoons but this pub was below par. Untidy, needed a clean up and some tlc to the dining areas.

Very bad service, refused to serve meals that were on the menu and rude staff

Necesitábamos un lugar barato y rápido para ir a comer en una noche así que vinimos aquí. . ojalá no lo hiciéramos. el camarero era tan grosero y tenía 0 habilidades sociales, aunque la comida salió rápido y era decente, nada estaba limpio. cada mesa tenía platos y vasos que no sé cuánto tiempo estuvieron allí durante , todas las tabletas eran pegajosas y los menús tenían porquería por todas partes. detrás de donde yo estaba sentado había café viejo y vasos rotos. el interior en este lugar es horrible y algo para mirar si quieres un dolor de cabeza. apestaba y el ambiente no era lo que esperaba. he estado en mejores cucharas.

Easy and convenient to order on their app, and very quick and friendly service. Food was served hot and very tasty.

Popped in for a quick breakfast, super efficient service. Ordered via App at 1040, food arrived 1044! Cant be many places that beat that (obviously i get breakfast items are often ready, warming - but still!). Noticed a goid variety of real akes and pub was also clean and tidy. Definitely one of their better venuyes for service etc.

Estábamos alojados en el hotel de al lado de este Spoons. Lo usamos para el desayuno ambos días. Increíble relación calidad-precio. Otros lugares estaban cobrando £ 11 - £ 15 para el desayuno esto era £ 6. Personal amable y eficiente. Sin duda recomiendo.

Didn't eat here, didn't get chance. My partner was told to leave after arguing with some drunk (who was obviously a local). The bloke was swearing and shouting then dropped a tray of drinks everywhere. When my partner asked him to stop swearing in front of me snd a family near by he started on my partner. He then proceeded to drop the drinks . The drunk and his rough looking mates then heard my partner comment to me about the "state they were in" snd started again. The bar manager clearly had some friendship or fear of this mob because he refused to serve my partner and told him to leave. It was a Sunday afternoon too. Staff were rude. The only drink we had was flat and some of the customers were down right rough. Shame for the other locals who seemed quite friendly. Never again.if I could give NO stars I would

Not the most friendly pub. Staff not showing any interest in customers. Have used this pub for 8 years + and sorry it's not anywhere like the friendly atmosphere used to get. The ale selection is very poor. There used to be a far better selection.

Honestly they're views on here...you get what you get with spoons and it's a fair price .I had a pizza , garlic bread and the bargain 2 ciders for 5.95. No complaints on food and the service whatsoever . Some people are so fussy !!

Nice pub and extremely busy. Lack of staff meant it took a while to get served, but the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly enough and quite attentive.

Came in here in Thurs as having a day out to lancaster.we went for chicken curry my kids had nuggets and chips .. All the fire alarms starting going off then we all were sent outside nobody told us what was happening.it was 20 mins or more then we went back in but all our food was cold... nobody offered us a voucher or asked would we like a refund ,I had to ask if I could have some hot chips for my daughter who's 5 I was disappointed as we've come here quite a few times on a visit to Lancaster ...

I went here alone, I was planning on treating myself to a steak. To my surprise, they had an offer on the steak. It tasted very nice and was cooked to how I liked it. I ordered on the app and the drink and food came in good time.

Wait , wait and wait , ordered but not enough staff to serve such a busy and tourist area wetherspoons, the table staff were literally run off their feet , when an hour later we got our breakfast , they were lovely , but if your in a rush skip here ..

This was a brilliant pub for dinner, with a bright and colourful design! This is contributed to from the different lights and the colourful patterns on the wall, counter is well presented too. Staff were really nice and signposted the menu that I enjoyed the Korean Burger with Chips from, sitting at comfortable seating!

Shocking experience waiter was rude and food all came out cold and mixed grills were cremated due to haveing children with us they told us our new food had to be take away won’t bring going back beware walked past kitchen and there were loads of flys on the food aswell

I had a mixed grill and it came out cremated Because I came with a child they asked me to leave at 9:30 even though I had no food and said they will give it to me in a take away box absolutely disgusting won’t be comeing back and writing request on all pages

This establishment is by far the worst wetherspoons i have been too the service was terrible i ordered an 8oz steak rare it was bone dry and bland personally i would not recommend this restaurant my family member ordered a mixed grill half of it was basically cremated it was appalling

Another great Wetherspoons, food could be warmer but that seems to be the norm I've eaten at scores of them and they're all the same. The service is quick and the staff always welcoming and friendly even at 8am in the morning.

This must be one of the worst wetherspoons I've been into it was dark and dingy, they had the air conditioning in full belt so it was freezing, the beer ( Worthington's) was just above freezing point. It was that cold you couldn't drink it. Ok you've got a good range of beers and you're cheap but there comes a point

Young lady behind the bar not a happy bunny. Maybe needs a different job?!! ALL other staff ace. Bloke downstairs did an excellent job. Beer decent — yeah!! Food great. No real complaints other than … her lol

Just another wetherspoon. Uncomfortable slow service and not even cheap anymore.

Had the all day brunch. Freshly cooked, plenty of it, and very nice indeed. Staff were friendly and served with a smile. Table was cleared and cleaned as we sat down, food wait was about ten minutes. Hot, plentiful and tasty. Spot on. Great value for a meal and a drink each. It was a busy lunch time, but still able to get a table without a problem.

The usual witherspoon environment. I only generally pop in for a big breakfast now and then. Really wish the good would arrive hotter but value for money.

Not that easy to find in Lancaster. Entry through two streets on two levels. Has outside seating for sunny days. Has a lot of regulars.

A typical Wetherspoons experience with fast service. Watch out as they have duplicate table numbers so food/drinks some times go to the wrong table!!

Disappointed with the lack of bacon this morning in a bacon and egg muffin - apparently there is only supposed to be 1 rasher. It's a good job I had the egg too!
