I've been to many different Weatherspoon's everywhere some of them are really good whilst this one is ok but the table service is terrible I ordered a Pepsi Cherry drink but it never came when I walked up to the bar to ask where it is I saw the waiter's tray with my Pepsi Cherry drink on it it was just left there with nobody picking it up and taking it to our table. I think table service needs to improve.

We needed somewhere cheap and quick to go eat on a night out so we came here .. i wish we didn’t. the waiter was so rude and had 0 social skills, although the food came out quick and it was decent , nothing was clean. every table had plates and glasses that i don’t know how long they were on there for , all the tablets were sticky and the menus had crap all over them. behind where i was sat there was old coffee and broken glasses. the interior on this place is awful and something to look at if you want a headache. it stunk and the atmosphere wasn’t what i had expected. i have been to better wetherspoons.

Didn't eat here, didn't get chance. My partner was told to leave after arguing with some drunk (who was obviously a local). The bloke was swearing and shouting then dropped a tray of drinks everywhere. When my partner asked him to stop swearing in front of me snd a family near by he started on my partner. He then proceeded to drop the drinks . The drunk and his rough looking mates then heard my partner comment to me about the "state they were in" snd started again. The bar manager clearly had some friendship or fear of this mob because he refused to serve my partner and told him to leave. It was a Sunday afternoon too. Staff were rude. The only drink we had was flat and some of the customers were down right rough. Shame for the other locals who seemed quite friendly. Never again.if I could give NO stars I would

Sir Richard Owen was a naturalist, biologist and paleontologist. One of Lancaster’s famous sons. As he was chatting away about Darwin’s theory of evolution in the mid nineteenth century he was once allegedly overheard speculating, ‘Through my work on invertebrates, fishy things and skeletal studies of dead creatures, I hope very much that I am remembered in my hometown of Lancaster by having my name attached to premises flogging beer and a burger meals for pennies and steak dinners for £9’. He got his wish. I must confess, we were in Lancaster on the hunt The Pub, home of the Massive Wagons mural. As you do, just call me Billy Balloon Head. We’re the prime generation after all. And then Sir Dicky appeared out of the Lancaster mist. A beacon, a shining light, a breakfast. We ventured into Sir Rich, a classic Wetherspoons pub in every sense of the phrase. Everything has its place, no matter where you are in the UK. The coffee machines are dotted at regular intervals, usually with sugar and annoying wooden sticks by the machine’s side. Occasionally not. The sauce tables are always exactly where they shouldn’t be. The bars are long and nobody ever knows where the queue begins and ends. If indeed there is a queue and not just random groups of punters gathered by the closest till. Our food arrived, our morning feast, the traditional breakfast, the ‘Spoons staple. And it was good, one of the better examples of said banquet. Nicely cooked bacon, hot toast, runny yolk, all very agreeable. Excellent. And Massive Wagons are a fabulous band too. Sir Richard thought so. He was a bright fella.

I think a lot of locals come in here for free coffee refills (currently £1.06 compared to £1.56 at every other Spoons) because they probs can't afford to heat their own homes (if they have one) and need a place to keep warm in Winter. Poor souls. I'd recommend the onion rings & small chips but all the food is good from what I've tried. Ciao baby

We arrived at 2pm at the Bar area on Friday 3rd Feb and quickly noticed all the tables even with no body sat at them were covered with empty glasses and plates from meals. Ordered the drinks then had to ask a member of staff to clean a table for us which he reluctantly did. Then to our amazement he just walked past all the other tables with glasses etc on them and just left them and went back to the bar to talk to his colleague ? Fast forward 1hr to 3pm and all the same tables are still covered in plates and crap from previously and no one has even attempted to clean up . At this point the guy behind the bar (possibly supervisor) left the building probably finishing his shift but clearly not bothered about all the crap that was left over the tables from his shift. At 3.15pm a New guy who said he started at 3pm then started to clean up all the crap and fair play to him did a very good job , but when we spoke to him we could tell he wasn't happy with all the crap which was left off the last shift by the other guy. Morale of the story is call out the Lazy Sherkas (ginger hair lad) And retrain his responsibilities or sack him . Really was grim

The 'Ale' was kept well (which is a general stone point of this particular pub) and though the toilets have seen better days (long gone it seems are the days where wetherspoon toilets win awards) one does appreciate that they are generally clean and serviceable. The Owen (as some might call it) is certainly joy the worst pub in Lancaster. , and as a first or second stop pn a night out, would defo make a cheery addition... but being your mates and keep your expectations realistic.

As with previous reviews we got caught out with the scam car park fees, there are no clear signs, why would you be looking for one? It’s a pub car park, as a tour guide who travels the U.K constantly I can’t think of another pub that operates a car park like this, to add insult to injury the food was distinctly average. My advice is if you are going for the Isle of Man ferry, eat on the boat and avoid this blatant scam.

We were staying in a lodge nearby and googled Sunday lunches, this place is in a lovely spot, we parked near the level crossing, had a walk on the beach, over the hill to a cafe on a farm then walked along the canal path. It’s a very old pub, 1500’s? it’s quirky with low ceilings and little private nooks. Sunday roast was excellent as was their apple & raspberry crumble, staff were friendly and prices reasonable. Important to us dog friendly and we treated our pooch to a ‘Woofchester’ fish dinner she wolfed it down. Would recommend.
