Finding myself unexpectedly in Weaverham, and wanting something to eat, I found the Devonshire Bakery. I was warmly welcomed, and selected a light lunch from the menu. It was delicious. I was just too late for the cooked "breakfast"; I shall try that when I am next in the village. Free parking is available in front of the venue, and nearby. All staff were friendly and helpful; highly recommended.

We had a fantastic family meal at The Hanging Gate in Weaverham and couldn’t be more impressed! The food was absolutely delicious – I had the fish and chips, which were perfectly cooked, my dad enjoyed a steak burger, my mum had a hearty chicken pie, and my son ordered from the kids’ menu, which came with an enormous burger (so big he couldn’t even finish it!). The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the pub itself looked delightful. What really amazed us was the incredible value for money. Exceptional food, great service, and a lovely setting—we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I visited Dormouse Haven with a friend for the Savoury Afternoon Tea. What a hidden treasure and fabulous experience. The food was delicious and it just kept coming... the decor is unique, the hospitality friendly and attentive; especially by our server Billy. I will most certainly be back.

I dropped in while walking nearby and received a friendly welcome from helpful staff, nice snacks - I had fries with chilli and cheese (chunky chips an option!) - and drank a well kept, reasonably priced, beer. The staff were relaxed and worked well as a team and the general atmosphere was lovely, including the open fires. It's definitely worth another look.

We used to visit here all the time when it was 2 for one. We feel that you now have less choice and its much more expensive. The roast dinner was for my mothers 93rd birthday. She had just moved into a dementia care home so we wanted it to be special. She only likes plain food. The gammon had to be returned because it was mostly fat. As per a lot of restaurants the cauliflower was hard. We had desserts. I was really looking forward to the cherry and apple crumble but it was disappointing. It was large pieces of apple and cherry sauce. The apple was hard and stained red from the sauce. Unappealing and not a expected. Staff were friendly and welcoming but then there wasnt a lot of tables in. Probably due to the weather.
