We stayed one night as it was close to family we were visiting and we also wanted to explore Knutsford town centre. The room was spacious and decorated nicely in a modern style, comfortable accommodation. We had dinner and breakfast. All the food we had was very nice, there was a good atmosphere, though on the noisy side. It was busy and luckily we had booked a table; many drop ins were turned away. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Amazing food the fish and chips was massive and the best we have ever had. Better than any chip shop will definitely be back, such a cozy feel to a traditional pub

Fabulous place with super helpful staff. My first visit with my Son and little dog,we were made very welcome, food was faultless and service is as good as I've ever had. We had the calamari then fish and chips, apple crumble and custard, all of it delicious. Beautiful place will definitely be returning.

The Bells of Peover isn’t just a pub—it’s a place full of history and character. During WWII, it was used by the British Army to discuss strategy against the Germans, and you can still feel that sense of history in its walls. But beyond its past, this place truly shines when it comes to food and atmosphere. From start to finish, the food was simply outstanding. The lamb was the star of the show perfectly cooked and packed with flavour while the soup was rich and full of depth. The fish cake? Absolutely sensational. Every dish felt like fine dining, executed with real care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and full of good vibes, making it the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy great food in great company. Whether you’re visiting for the history, the setting, or the food, The Bells of Peover delivers on every level. Highly recommended!

Great stop off on the way up to the lake district and visiting friends in the area. Very friendly staff. Comfy bed and good breakfast. Ticked all the boxes

Suddenly, there are signs up saying 'No Dogs'. This is a country pub, close to a park popular with dogwalkers. This seems a very backward step.
