Excellent, amazing buffet service! Great food, great quality and epic portions. After hearing very good reviews we ordered buffet for 20 for a family occasion.. We could easily have fed the entire neighbourhood! Delivered professionally and courteously straight to our front door. Highly recommended!

Again recommended and we had visited many years ago. What a special place. Not your average fish and chip restaurant because there was a pianist and the staff were so friendly amidst the beautiful decor. Food was served efficiently and very tasty. Very much go again

Carrs Pasties Middlebrook is a regular port of call for me primarily for restocking my freezer I prefer the un baked pasties and sausages rolls but just can’t resist a nice hot pasty and a cream cake when I visit the store. The staff all seem happy to be there and are very helpful and always up for a bit of a laugh it’s great quality food and a friendly shopping experience

We came a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Please look at my previous review. We came last night with a mrs Rainford ….. she has reviewed before….. however things didn’t go quite as they should. Our starters went ok if a little slow and then we started hearing whispers of problems in the kitchen. We felt that we were falling behind in the pecking order, then one of the waiters came and mentioned a problem but not what. Our mains arrived and on first bite me and Diane noticed our fish was cold so we called over the lady who seemed to be overall in charge and she took our plates away. So we sat back and waited. Our partners finished their dishes and shortly afterward a female waiter came and took away all the plates and dishes, bearing in mind that nobody on the table had had a sweet. About this time I got up and went to the toilet. When I returned I was told that 2 plates of lamb had been brought and taken away because neither of us ate lamb. We hadn’t been asked that question. We weren’t approached afterwards. When Steve went to the till, he was told there was no charge and could they wrap up the sweets. Steve felt it was time to make an exit and just left to meet us at the restaurant entrance. We all know it’s a training kitchen and the staff have to learn but we felt that there needed to be more guidance . We would welcome an explanation. barrym48@btinternet.com 07794195920

I brought my granddaughter here for lunch yesterday afternoon. We waited 20 minutes before a member of staff came to the front desk to book people in. There was an elderly couple who were waiting before us and quite a few people behind us. We were asked if we wanted refill drinks and we said yes. It was a good ten minutes or so after that we were given glasses. There was very few vegan options, although quite a few veggie options, which I could not eat. I ended up having a vegan carvery, which I came to discover was a plate of vegetables and no gravy as that is also vegetarian. Basically a normal carvery without yorkies, meat and gravy. The worst thing is the price is exactly the same. If I had realised that, I would have got the meat for my dog. Nice building, but overpriced non inclusive menu. I wish we had gone to McDonalds.

Love a good speedquiz so thought I’d give this place a try as local to area been in 3 different occasions now and have come to realise it seems to be a fix in who wins. My friend was first in the quiz up until the last few questions which he got right yet it seamed all of a sunder a group of young girls came out of nowhere and apparently won by 1 point and funnily enough these was sat with the quiz guy for half the night. this also happend on another ocaasion and i head other teams shouting out about it being a fix as the same had happens too them . This seems to be a quiz on how little you are wearing and unfortually not how cleaver you are.Not very professional for such a great pub

Since it changed name to Mr frys prices have shot up to large chips and two mugs of tea £12 is ridiculous use to come here all the while when Allisons all the specials advertised are never on its only saving grace is Adam but don't see him much now due to delivery take aways
