absolutely amazing food - staff all very friendly and make sure you're being served - great service - hot piping food as always

Called in for Breakfast in the very cold weather on 2 occasions and decided to try the Hot soup both times it was excellent, and would highly recommend.

Quality food, warm friendly staff, clean and welcoming. A simple place with really good food. Their homemade pork pies are legendary.

I go for either breakfast OR lunch 3 days a week. They do amazing fresh sausages (especially the Cumberland) on toast, and for lunch I have Turkey salad on granary. Great selection of pies and hot food too. Great staff. Really can't grumble at all.....ideal!

Always stop in when in the town centre. Breakfast is fabulous - potato cakes 10/10. Sandwich barms are always lovely and the choice is brilliant. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Ordered a buffet for 65 people and just made a couple of changes to accomodate the different tastes of the people attending. My query was dealt with quickly and efficiently and the price was great. I had 1 gluten free meal that was all parcelled up individually and labelled which was perfect and very much appreciated. The price included plates napkins and delivery and I couldn't fault it. Lots of lovely comments about the choice and amount of food and the pork pies even got a special mention by many! It's definitely a place I would recommend and use again. Thanks to Emma for organising everything.

Great place in the town centre with lovely staff, healthy options and reasonable priced. The soups are really delicious. Favourite is a jacket potato to take back to work at lunchtime. I have noticed though that takeaway jacket potatoes seem to be oven cooked whereas if you eat in they seem go be microwaved and you also have a very long wait. Lovely as the staff are, quite a few times I’ve asked for something to be left off but the salad seems to get cross contaminated easily which puts me off eating it having to pick bits of egg or sweetcorn out. Or being asked if I want butter, saying no, and then getting it anyway. If they can sort these things then I would highly recommend it as a great place to get lunch in the town centre.

Always visit here for lunch when at work, the staff are always friendly and the food is always delicious! Especially the soup! this week I tried the Italian meatball soup and it was very tasty!

Odessa did the catering for my recent 60th / retirement party and it was amazing. The quality was first class and the quantity was impressive. Alex was really helpful when we planned the menu and made some excellent suggestions. The spicy chicken, whist pies and wraps were particularly good. Absolutely recommend. Can't speak too highly of them.

First time visit for lunch. We had a sausage barm and a Welsh rarebit and both were very good. Pleasant welcoming staff as well.

Honestly I can't rate this place highly enough. The food is wonderful, so fresh and tasty, and there is a ridiculously extensive choice! It is very reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of the food. And as if that wasn't enough, the service is second to none - all the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always smiling ☺️ I love this place, I won't go anywhere else for my lunch and I would recommend it to all.

Call in most mornings for an excellent choice from the breakfast menu, staff are always very acomodating and nothing is too much trouble. Great friendly atmosphere even during restrictions, would highly recommend 5*.

Held a socially distanced lunchtime catch up over lunch. Food was good, really tasty and prompt. Really enjoyed taking time out from a busy day to have a proper lunch break. First time I've eaten outside - normally take away to eat at desk for 5 out of 5 - will be back x

Always get my dinner from Odessa. Alex and the ladies are always wonderful and go above and beyond. I ordered a cheese board this Christmas and was blown away by the choice, amount, presentation and value for money. I shall definitely order more and continue to eat here. Thank you Odessa!

Having visited many times i know this is the place to go for the BEST XMAS CHEESE BOARD with a great selection of festive foods, it also helps that they have tasty soup,HOT coffee and fantastic breakfast to take away I SIMPLY CAN'T BELIEVE IT.

Not been in Odessa for months as working from home. Went in today and so pleased. Brilliant food, great sandwiches, deli, and great home-cooked meals. All the staff really cheery. My favourite lunch menu in Bolton. And just got a selection of lovely cheeses, pork pies for Xmas. Really recommend Odessa.

What a relief to see Alex & Co still trading in these hard times! There was the usual fabulous atmosphere in the cafe and takeaway with staff being friendly and efficient. The menu selection is amazing - a full range from breakfast items, hot and cold lunches and delicious cakes. As always I was spoilt for choice but had the homemade curry which was delicious! I’d heartily recommend this gem in the town centre.

First visit, sat outside in these socially distanced times. Lovely friendly staff happy to be back. Lots of passers by, many compliments to the place overheard. It's obviously a Bolton legend. Excellent tuna / feta wraps and salad. Too big to eat another course. Good value - middling price, excellent quality. I made a mistake over the coffee, the waitress replaced it without charge. Dog friendly - ours benefitted from the staff to the tune of two free sausages. Will be back.

I often visit Odessa for luch- The service is fab and friendly and the food is home cooked- They have the best soups which i love and the deserts are even better! Fabulous staff!

I go in to this Cafe most days for my lunch at work, there is everything available regardless of what you fancy whether you are just peckish or ravenous !Alex and the girls always busy and running around looking after your visit, you will not find a better Cafe anywhere in Bolton, soups, wraps, outstanding choice of sandwiches, hot food, cold food, healthy options, curries, cooked meats, pies, desserts, drinks also best corned beef hash anywhere !Well recommended..

Called in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of soup on offer "had to try one" the staff are always friendly and welcoming, the soup was excellent and will definitely be back for more.

I buy my lunch/tea from Odessa on a regular basis...foods always excellent and the staff amazing..(in fact there's a member of staff who's fluent in Turkish..who helps to translate.) Well worth a visit....

The best cafe in Bolton without doubt. The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. The deli counter has lots of lovely home cooked meats as well as delicious sausages, pate, pasties, samosas, you name it. This isn’t just a cafe, it’s a social hub where everyone is made to feel welcome. Whatever you want they will cook for you, and nothing is too much trouble. A gem.

I don't often go into Bolton ,but required some good quality ham and the best i,ve had is at the Odessa deli counter and had a fine breakfast while we were there and very tasty it was, such good value. Best cafe deli in bolton. thanks to the staff and Alex for the service and great atmosphere

I have a ordered a few buffets on behalf of a company for clients and meetings. Delivery has always been prompt and with a smile! :) The buffet is of wide variety and unbelievably great value! We could not recommended Odessa enough for their buffets. The food is great quality and we can pick and choose what we would like (cakes, drinks, pies, wraps etc). I have ordered buffets the day before the meeting Odessa will still deliver early! Thankyou Odessa, we would not use anyone else for our buffets.

Never disappoints this place hot jacket potatoes creamy coleslaw crispy salad runny beans and cold fizzy pop clean cutlery and clean surroundings with cheap menu cant ask for anything more really so busy but all the ladies and gentlemen working there run it like clockwork thankyou

Odessa provided us with an amazing buffet for our works Christmas party in December. All of the staff loved it so much that we booked another in last month for a retirement.

Odessa is more than just a cafe, the staff start to feel like good friends just after a couple of visits. Alex - the owner knows most people by first name which is lovely.

Decided to have a quick train ride to Bolton and found this place for lunch. Easy to find, good simple food provided by friendly staff.

I offtern visit for a take away at lunchtime. The boxed salads are the best I have ever had especially the Turkey and Bacon . All the ingredient are fresh and tasty. Hummy

When I visit my father (now 97) in Bolton each week our go to place for lunch is undoubtedly Odessa. When I lived in Bolton, almost twenty years ago, I used to go often and, if anything, it has improved no end. One My father goes three or four times a week and his favourite is the soup. Home made and changed often (most days) it is a delight and never fails to please. The variety of food obtainable at Odessa is vast - curry, potato hash, roasts, the list is almost endless. The cafe is also innovative and the other week there was a goat curry on offer which was delicious and whilst one could taste the spices it wasn't over hot which, in my opinion is a failing in most non-Asian places making curry, The beef burgers are really good but treat yourself to a Wild Boar Burger - they are stunningly good and freshly cooked. I bought two to take home to cook and, believe me, I can be very picky when it comes to a burger. There is a myriad of sandwiches on offer; all very good. Breakfasts are excellent and obtainable throughout the day. Odessa also has a range of products for sale; black pudding, pies, pasties, cooked meats and cheeses; all of which are local produce. Lunchtimes are usually busy at both tables and the takeaway counters as a steady procession of local workers queue for a takeaway lunch. The staff are very friendly and efficient and Alex, the owner, is always pleased to offer information on products. Odessa is a real gem of an eatery. There are no frills - just very good food at very reasonable prices. It would take a number of weeks for you to get through what is on offer and then there would be something new to try. If you have been then I am preaching to the converted. If you haven't make a point of going there and trying it out. You won't be disappointed. One last thing - don't forget the Wild Boar Burger!

I used to come here almost every day for lunch and then moved elsewhere in the country. Needed to home back to Bolton for the day and there was only one place to go to for breakfast and lunch with the family in tow.

This is the best cafe I’ve ever been fortunate enough to discover, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone and everyone. I’ve never had sub-standard food from here and I come almost every day. Thank you for catering for my pickiness without a single complaint and being so helpful and kind :)

When a business remembers your name it always makes the visit a little bit more special. Alex and his team are always friendly and the food is always fresh & tasty. if you get the opportunity to visit you must try the orange & lemon cheesecake - its to die for.

Greeted immediately from the rain by who I assume is the manager. He leapt straight back behind the deli counter to talk through sandwich fillings and show us menus when we said we wanted a bite to eat. I had a spicy chicken mix with my very specific salad requests that were met with a smile and enthusiasm. Imagine sort of like a subway but with a friendly local vibe and without the artificial fast food feel. The food was plentiful, tasty, and was even given some little extras which was a nice touch. I'll be returning whenever I'm in Bolton!

We use Odessa for our company lunches, they are always courteous, helpful, on-time and the food is great. You can either choose selections yourself or just give them a price per head and leave the rest to them. The food is always fresh, looks good and tastes great. I would recommend them everytime.

Honestly I can’t speak highly enough of Odessa - I come here every day for my lunch and it’s amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys, and I’m quite picky with my requests! The food is perfect, always fresh, really generous, brilliant value, and they have SO much choice. And they have literally catered to my every request, they will go out of their way to make things perfect. The staff are so lovely and helpful no matter how busy they are! I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone.

Primera visita y tenía un pequeño desayuno y la vía láctea de café. Centro de la ciudad, cafetería café era genial. El desayuno era agradable y fresco, con buena calidad, complementado con tostadas muy agradable granero. Buenos precios demasiado las botas.

Conseguimos una gran desayuno era todo carne fresca fresco y muy agradable. Era amable y acogió con agrado y buena para el precio. Sin duda volveré.

Mientras que fuera de compras llamado para el almuerzo. Los precios son muy razonables y buena comida. Tienen muy buenas ofertas especiales. Volvería de nuevo.

Was discussing getting food as we wandered around Bolton town centre for the first time. Happened to be walking past this place which looked like a cafe / sandwich takeaway and wouldn't have given it a second look but it was in the right place at the right time. The potato wedges were amazing, I asked for hot and spicy and they didn't disappoint. Jacket potato with prawns and salad was fab, and I had something called a Mega Challenge and it was perfect, like a breakfast bun done really really well and very filling. I recommend this place . Leaving a review because it's worth seeking out, we would have easily walked past it. We stopped because we could see wild boar burgers on the menu from where we stood, which piqued our interest. Could have easily missed out. Great food and nice staff.

We have visited Odessa's many times, and every time we visit the Town centre we eat there. The food is freshly cooked to a very high standard, served by very friendly staff. When we have finished our meal we take the opportunity to buy some of the excellent cooked meats to take home with us. Odessa's is popular and we highly recommend you visit, you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit.

I enjoyed my meal here , i asked for a table for one after work recieved a few weird looks from staff members but on contrary the meal was very nice with attentive staff.

Been going for lunch on average twice a week, sometimes more, for the last 3.5 years.It's like going to a café owned by your mates. Always a great variety of fresh, hot and cold food on offer, served by the friendliest of staff who always look after you; nothing is too much trouble. The amount of repeat business is amazing and so many customers are known on a first name basis. If you haven't tried Odessa's yet, it's a must that you do and you'll soon be going back for more.In my opinion, and my colleagues, you can't beat Odessa's for food, service, staff and standards.

We often go to Odessa for fresh cooked meats and have seen the queue for sanwiches and take away but we can't believe we have not been here for lunch, well we remedied that last week as it was highly recommended and what a treat! Not only a choice of bread or wraps but a huge selection of meats and fillings all made fresh with very generous portions, good value for money with friendly staff, don't pass this place by and you won't be disappointed, well done to staff and Alex for providing Bolton with this gem of a take away and cafe, see you again soon.

This place is great for fresh and humble food me and my friend from work had a beef and mushroom with gravy barm. It was a real treat and a very good portion, it's definitely a place I would recommend for people who want value for money and also newcomers to the town of Bolton. There are no other places where you can get such fresh and quality food in the town centre, that being said go there and try it for yourself it is pretty cheap and won't cost more than £4:00 for a decent lunch

A hidden gem, superb food and great value for money. I have never had a bad experience here, food is always made fresh whilst you wait. Alex and his staff are very friendly and efficient. If you haven't visited odessa yet, I highly recommend you do. They also provide a very good buffet service.

Went yesterday and got a fresh wrap ... full of salad very fresh and tasted delicious! Offered butter or margarine and a choice of sauces .. good value for money and made fresh while you wait ...!

Lovely cafe, friendly bubbly staff, wide selection of fresh food including salads, jacket potatoes, home made specials such as steak pie, curry, chilli etc. Large selection of fresh meats and cheeses. As well as salmon, a selection of chicken; tikka, lemon pepper, lime and coriander, chicken bacon mayo, salsa chicken and Cajun chicken. As well as all day breakfast, wraps of your choice, pies & pasties. And there's always a cheeky little treat for afters such as: homemade cheesecake, egg custard, cakes and huge vanilla slices! All at an extremely reasonable price! Would most definitely recommend.

Came here on a whim, seemed very popular. Had some hot beef barms which were lovely, as was the potato wedges, though a little greasy. 2 sandwiches and side with 2 drinks cost just under £14.00However they need to catch up and provide gluten free bread etc as there are lots of people with allergies who miss out.

Today we visited for the first time Odessa, the service was brilliant. We ordered a light lunch and drink which arrived in no time at all served by a friendly young lady. On leaving the owner apologised for not having the smoked salmon I ordered and said he would have some for me next time I visited. We will be visiting again definitely as the food was hot and tasty and not too expensive. thank you

Very poorly scrambled eggs that arrived as a lump, but other items were tasty (not so much the potato cake). Toast wasn't the advertised granary and I couldn't taste the promised butter.Despite all this, the friendly service left a good impression, and prices were very reasonable.

We have been here several times it's a cafe serving breakfasts sandwiches etc it also has a deli counter, the food is lovely and it's always busy. The staff are really friendly and they do homemade specials everyday.

I have visited Odessa on many an occasion and it has always been a joy. Alex and all his staff are smashing. The restaurant is always clean and the lively smell of food entices you in. I go for both take away and sit it. I would highly recommend a visit.

I went for breakfast at Odessa cafe in Bolton, on 26th February 2016. The staff was friendly and gave a good service. There was a good variety on the menu, and reasonably priced, although no vegetarian sausages for an vegetarian option, like many other cafes, which is disappointing, since they are readily available. It is a lovely cafe, with a sandwich bar, and take-away is also available.

Was nearly put off by a crazy customer shouting at us. But once he left this was a nice little cafe with good food at very affordable prices

I visit here with my Nan on what has become a regular basis. The food has always been excellent and there is plenty to choose from! I would definitely recommend the tandoori chicken salad barms! The only negative is that it gets very busy and you are often left standing around the entrance waiting for a table to become available. I hope to see them expand and use the upstairs floor of possible!

This little café is a superb place to grab a bite to eat during a shopping trip, always fresh, always tasty and the prices are very reasonable. I can highly recommend the outside catering for corporate events, my company has used them numerous times now and they haven't disappointed.

Been to Odessa a few times now and can honestly say the food is lovely, the staff are so friendly and helpful. You can clearly see the food is fresh and made just to your taste! Also used Odessa at a family wedding and the buffet was amazing so much so I've booked them for my little girls christening!! Highly recommended

My wife and I used the Odessa outside catering service recently and we would like to say a big thank you to Alex and his staff. The event we were holding was at Dunscar Conservative club in Bromley Cross. Alex catered for 65 people and the food was delivered fresh, varied and good quality. Alex provided all the necessary utensils, plates, tablecloths and serviettes. Compared to other establishments, the cost per head was very competitive. If you need outside catering for an event you are planning I would thoroughly recommend The Odessa Café outside catering service.
