Pretty disappointed, I didn't expect to be served a frozen fish fillet!! If I'd have know the "Battered Cod Special" was frozen I'd have chosen something else. Don't really want side salad with fish chips and mushy peas so just serve fresh fish instead. Plenty other places to get fresh fish, chips and mushy peas so won't be back. On the plus side-Staff lovely and it's spotlessly clean.

Marley’s is a fish and chip restaurant that’s what it says outside anyway. The inside was immaculate, clean and interesting photos on the walls, it had a few customers in and they obviously support Bolton wanderers as they have memorabilia on the walls. So far so good, the lady who came and took my order was bright and breezy and we had a brief chat, “Marley” maybe he’s not Marley, made eye contact but no greeting, again not a problem, prices were cheaper than Olympus but not as many customers as tasos gets, still this is good. I ordered fish and chip set meal and got bread cut in half not triangles so could make a butty, mushy peas were good and on the whole the meal was good as was the tea. I would have given five stars but deducted a star because the battered fish was of the processed type, not fresh, nor does there appear to be an alternative. Worth it for the price paid but for a fish and chip restaurant it should have its signature dish to perfection and to me this was not that, that said I’d recommend it.

Really liked it, food was made quick, I had fish and chips and it was as good as I’ve ever had, definitely recommend!

A new'ish venture I hear, well done. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was good - mine and others. Place and tables were clean, menu full. I missed out on the Specials Board with 'Rag Pudding', a great favourite from my past. If you visit, make a point of asking about the specials, or perhaps the waitress could have mentioned them, but didn't. Another suggestion - dont put shredded lettuce in the BLT Club, it ends up on your clothes, the table and the plate. Simply, use lettuce leaves. Overall, it was a nice experience and I will be back.

Really Friendly staff, and good quality breakfast. Not the cheapest breakfast in Bolton but not too bad at all for middle of the high street

Always a warm welcome excellent food and service. Love the different specials they have each week. There chocolate cake is to die for.

Very welcoming , when ordering same thing they point out the offer they have so saves you couple pennies � food give it 9.5 out of 10 as was absolutely lovely food cooked just right the missing 0.5 points is black pudding cut a bit to thin nice to have triple the thinkness you do and little trick for grilled fresh tomatoes is when cut in half sprinkle a little sugar on cut side off the tomatoes it gives it a lovely taste � I learnt it from another chef who taught me it when I was training to be one �

Had only been open 2 weeks when we ate their. Everthing was spot on. Food was delicious the mega breakfast was enormous. Very good value and lovely friendly staff will definately be back and theyhave a 5 star hygiene rating
