The best restaurants serving British food in Fulwell Sunderland North East

Delicious thick chips cooked to perfection, accompanied by fish bites to die for. Lovely takeaway on the seafront for a nice walk along the beach. Will definitely be back, couldn’t recommend it any more!

Visited for Sunderland Restaurant Week (3 courses for £20). Our first time visiting but won’t be the last! Lovely cosy atmosphere, themed around Alice in Wonderland. Decorated really quirkily, with some really interesting pieces of Alice art. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, taking the time to come to chat at the table. The food was so, so nice. Beautifully cooked and well presented. Not a bad thing to say about this place. Already looking forward to next time.

Lad behind counter on morning of 4/12/24 needs to learn some customer service his attitude was poor to say the least and that’s being kind. As for the food it was some of the worse I’ve seen and tasted in a long time one bite and it went straight in the bin. Won’t be going back!!!!!

Hay gente rara aquí. Los niños corren revueltas con padres que no toman el control. Un tipo en el bar con un perro del tamaño de un caballo gritando a los niños llamando a los malditos idiotas. (Elimine el problema de perros y niños resuelto).

Miércoles carvery... Increíble. Bonita zona de comedor espaciosa, música de fondo tranquila, personal amable. La carne era preciosa, y las verduras NO cocinadas a papilla, Yorkshires masiva y salsa caliente. No hay fotos, ya que no podíamos esperar a arroparnos.

Los dos amamos el pescado con papas fritas Downeys pero nos pegaremos a la sucursal de Seaham de ahora en adelante, hoy comimos en Downey’s at The Stack y el personal continuamente comía las papas fritas con los dedos mientras se freían y servían, vimos esto por un tiempo y no se lavaron las manos , esto nos dio asco, no fueron las dos chicas jóvenes que fueron el hombre que se freía y la señora mayor que servían, ¡¡horrible! !

Don’t waste your Money Had visited before and the food was good. This time it was terrible. Flabby chicken wings, casoulet was awful, the “wild mushroom tagliatelle “ was just disgusting. Heavy cream sauce, no taste, forgot the Parmesan crisp, just not worth the money. When asked how the food was, we expressed our disappointment + no response, no one cared that it was awful it was almost as if they expected it to be as terrible as it was.
