The best restaurants serving British food in Wooler Northumberland North East

Our first visit here and it won’t be the last. The food was delicious, we had the steak and house rose, and asked for an additional side salad. It was lovely. The staff were very friendly and professional. Well done The Bosk.

Myself and husband popped in with our Cockapoo today. Both of us had toasted panini, mine was bacon, Brie and cranberry, hubbys was tuna melt. Both absolutely lovely with gorgeous chips and homemade coleslaw, coffee was also very hot and very good. Highly recommend if you are in Wooler.

We've been comping to the Ramblers for year whenever we're up in Wooler. Cam up this weekend, first time in a while and we walked up to get out normal latte and a slice of cake. Unfortunately it's no longer there and has closed down. So, so sad to see. Was a great little place, very friendly and welcoming.

Lovely country pub with roaring fire! Sunday lunch was one of the best I’ve had! A little wait but it was worth it as it’s cooked freshly! Can’t praise it high enough! Definitely go back!

Ordered three pizzas and a wrap, wrap and chips ice cold and pizzas burned like in the picture. Shocking standard for fresh made food, who is actually looking at this and saying that’s fine to send out. If there was any other take away open In Wooler these guys would be closed from lack of business. My advice go to co op and get a chilled pizza and cook it yourself. I’m all for supporting local businesses but only if they actually care about their customers and standards. Otherwise they deserve big business to swallow them up. Wake up and start to care.

We spend at least 3 weeks on holiday in various cottages in the area but i always make a trip to Breeze ,Claire is so helpful and a warm welcome awaits .Claire is not pushy and gives you plenty of time to browse her beautiful stock which is varied for all ages and tastes ,gifts galore or just treat yourself ,Not back till March but looking forward to my next visit .Its just a gift shop no food.

We had fantastic fish and chips!! Four pieces of fresh cod cooked in front of our eyes. Light crispy batter, succulent fish and a good portion of chips. Friendly service and a spotless environment. Some of the best fish and chips I have ever had and I live on the Suffolk coast! Thank you.

You have to negotiate 2 lobbies from the rear car park to enter the hotel,which is very difficult when carrying luggage. Reception asked for immediate payment up front. State of decoration throughout hotel is very poor. Plastic flowers in abundance. Room basic. Breakfast OK but only 1 hour available to have it. Hotel in need of full renovation. Very, very disappointed 😞.
