Dropped into the Terrace for lunch quite by chance (we couldn't find the other place we were originally looking for!). The staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival while the menu offered a varied choice of reasonably priced food and drink options. Our paninis were both prepared and presented to an excellent standard. We had also ordered a bowl of chips between us, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a generous portion of hand-cut chips (rather than the pre-prepared frozen ones all too commonly found elsewhere). The bill for all this was very reasonable and, following a polite request to help the Terrace avoid incurring any card transaction fees, we were more than happy to oblige by paying in cash. We thoroughly recommend the Terrace to anyone; if you are going to visit, then please remember to have sufficient cash on you to help them avoid card transaction fees!

Stoped off for a bite to eat for lunch. There was nowhere else open. The rambler cafe has closed down but found this little place. We were welcomed in on a wet day. There was just use and another table but two other gripes walked in. The food was nice for a snack and hit the spot. The cakes looked nice but did not try.

Sat outside as the weather was lovely, it’s table service and the staff are great. We had breakfast naps and a full English and we were all very very happy! We found the cafe during a short stay in Wooler because our hotel could not provide breakfast because of a shortage pf staff. Went as a group of 6 and was left bitterly disappointed - I ordered a cream tea and the scone was by far the worst scone I had ever tasted! It was as if it was just made from the plainest left over dough. The size and shape resembled a small bun not a scone, it was very dry and just tasteless. Which was a massive shame as upon leaving I noticed a container of beautiful looking scones. Maybe a one off who knows but My advice is to stay clear unless your getting one of the nice looking ones from the container! Luckily the cheese toasts where good and although I found the cafe slightly overpriced it was the only place open for food in the village so kudos in that front.

We called in at The Terrace Cafe at the tail end of an overcast Sunday afternoon at the end of September. We had been exploring the area and Wooler is locate on the edge of the Northumberland Nationa Park. Wooler is an old market town, and we were looking for a hot drink and a bite to eat when we stopped off in it.We almost didn't go into the cafe as it seemed packed with hikers even though it was a dreary afternoon. We found a table free and decided to stop as the café was dog-friendly. We were glad we did.The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered a bacon/sausage bap and a cheese sandwich, along with two hot coffees. When the order was delivered, the owner asked whether our bassets were allowed sausage? Silly question. To our dogs' delight, the owner brought out a little tray of cooked, sliced sausage for 'our girls'. Never were they more attentive. As the hikers moved on we had the opportunity to talk to the owner a little more and have promised to call back in on our next visit to Northumberland. Not too long hopefully.

Enjoyed sitting on the terrace watching a wedding at the church spill out into the street. Lovely place to rest a while a way an hour.

We visited the Terrace Cafe and we ate chocolate cake, bacon rolls, sandwiches, tango and ham sandwiches. Come here and you will be well fed and looked after. We would definitely have the sandwiches again. Lovely thick bread!

I had a lovely lunch break today at this cafe in Wooler. I was able to sit outside in the sun and enjoyed a smashing toastie and chocolate cake with a coffee (x2). This is my fave coffee stop in Wooler. The service is fast and friendly and the owner stops to chat to customers. Deserves its 5 star for good quality basic cafe fare.

Dropped in for coffee and cake one weekday morning whilst out cycling. Lovely friendly staff serving good coffee and cake. Local "border" cake particularly good.

My wife and I called in for a coffee and were so impressed that we returned for lunch. We both had sandwiches which were very nicely presented and good value. We will definitely come back when back in Wooler.

We enjoy this little gem of a cafe- always go the extra mile with the kids. We like the cake, and the chips too. Reasonably priced

Tortured by memories of delightful lunches and mind blowing Border Tart, we drove down from Edinburgh to Wooler for a fix of The Terrace Café. OMG! Every bit as good as we remember plus it has been “done up” beautifully. What a delight. A real credit to the best of what Britain can offer. Thank you.

The newly decorated Terrace cafe offers good value. The chocolate cake was so delicious! Next time we would try the soup and roll or the sausage , egg and chips. The staff were very helpful and we left a tip.
