Stayed in the nearby castle and went for lunch. It is just a few miles away. Ample parking on site or the street outside. Clean and bright pub, with nice comfy seating. The menu was good and I had the chicken supreme which I highly recommend. The pub is dog friendly (as a family were eating close by with their pet). Friendly service and I would recommend stopping in for lunch.

Percy Arms quickly became our go-to spot during our stay in the area, and for good reason. We found ourselves dining there three times in a week, and each visit was a delight! The standout dish for me was undoubtedly the Seafood Linguine – fresh seafood delicately nestled in perfectly cooked pasta - the best I've ever had!!! Beyond the exceptional food, the service was consistently friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Percy Arms for a memorable meal.

A solid traditional Sunday Lunch, with the beef particularly good accompanied by massive Yourkshire puddings and all the trimmings. My partner's lamb a little dissapointing - needed more taste, and more rosemary, IMHO! Good country pub atmosphere, and sevice attentive. Including tip, a round £100 for the three of us, including two large glasses of wine and three coffees. Worth a recommend!

We went to the percy for an evening meal, we were sat in the bar area and the atmosphere was lovely and cosy with an open fire. We were a family of 6 with 4 dogs visiting northumberland. Good hearty food which on the whole was excellent vfm. Having frequented the Percy Arms on numerous occasions, we have come to expect good food, service and a warm convivial atmosphere and once again we were not disappointed. The two staff with whom we interacted were both friendly and very attentive -this is Northumberland after all! If I was to have one criticism it would be that whilst the three desserts purchased were beautifully presented and delicious, £8 each is questionable. Perhaps individually price items would be more appropriate? Thank you.

The Percy arms is my local pub, and I’ve seen it go through various owners and it hasn’t really thrived much for the last few years. It lacks character but nether the less it’s my local, and I’m often in for drinks with my friends especially through the summer as the beer garden and decking is amazing to sit in, the pints are always lovely and the pimms is great. However the food is very hit and miss. My partner and I went for dinner on a Sunday night, we didn’t fancy cooking and thought we’d just pop down. My partner had leek and potato soup to start that was so thin and had far too much pepper in it, I had the mussels, which were lovely. My partner had beer battered fish and chips as his main and enjoyed it, the chips were so good. I decided to try the Lobster thermidor, the lobster was over cooked and tail meat was very chewy and almost grainy, i was also given a singular claw which was stone cold, I tried abit of the claw meat but it tasted very unpleasant, and the smell of the claw was quite disgusting and put me off from eating any more of the lobster, so all I ate was the tail meat, I left then claw and the legs. The salad was awful, it was very limp and the leaves had holes in them and were brown. I politely made this known to the waitress so she could inform the chef , especially about the claw, she was apologetic even though it wasn’t her fault. We then waited so long for the bill that we ended up getting up and going to the bar. The table next to us had belly pork that wasn’t crispy and was very fatty, and they had received discount on their meal after telling the waitress about the problem. We had nothing taken off our bill or even a discount on the lobster dish which I was very disappointed seeing as all I had eaten was the chips and abit of lobster tail. I’m really really disappointed, especially when lobster that is not cooked incorrectly can be harmful to people if it is consumed, not to mention the dish was £25 too. I won’t be eating here again.

Nice waitress was happy for us to change our table from restaurant to pub due to slightly noisy children and feeling hemmed in against a wall. Food was lovely but with just one slice of roast beef on one plate, thought that rather mean. We did mention it and some discount was given but we tipped well anyway. Cauliflower cheese was offered and accepted but not really needed since the vegetables were many and varied.

Arrived at The Percy after visiting The Barter Bookstore in Alnick. Settled down to read in the bar, on comfy sofas by a roaring fire. Great music playing. Locals and dog walkers popped in for drinks and Sunday lunch. We had a delicious Sunday roast lamb dinner followed by fruit crumble. Stayed in a delightfully comfy king-sized bedroom. Huge full English the next morning, brisk walk through the beautiful village of Chatton and then home. What a hidden gem - we shall return !

Very poor value for money - £18 for a beef Sunday lunch. Beef rump very thick and tough and had an unpleasant flavour. Roast potatoes were soggy, carrots were undercooked and we were unable to cut them with a knife. Mange tout on the plate seemed a rather unusual addition to a Sunday lunch and were wrinkly and old looking. Only a small drizzle of gravy already on the plate and no extra gravy boat provided. We were not offered any condiments and had to call someone over for them. The whole meal was only like warm. Lots of flies buzzing around while we are. One good point however - the waitress who took our order was lovely!
