The best restaurants serving British food in City of London, Westminster London

Gran lugar para las bebidas. Pub justo fuera de los caminos trillados, pero cerca. Buena selección de sidras y cervezas. Sirven comida, pero no pidieron nada.

We visited the Newman arms after work this week. The staff were absolutely brilliant and so friendly. Martin looked after us when we arrived and showed us to our table that we booked upstairs. Tom was super informative and told us about the beer that was locally brewed in Walthamstow and Mike was very friendly. Would defo recommend this pub and will be coming back again after work! X

Gorgeous restaurant/bar. I just popped in for a drink & was knocked out by the design & the friendly and professional staff. Hope to return soon!

It’s cheap and that’s the only plus. The food wasn’t tasty, some of the dishes came cold. Very moderate. Horrible toilet.

Mi segunda visita aquí. Me encanta, ya que estoy fascinado y encantado por la historia del lugar. El café es sin duda de alta calidad. La experiencia del café es solo ligeramente decepcionante. Un café muy pequeño se sirve casi lo suficientemente caliente (sé que esto es probablemente deliberado para no restar sabor, pero siempre es un poco decepcionante no poder demorarse y tener que beberlo de una sola vez). Aunque la decoración de la cafetería es preciosa, se sentía un poco sucio y sin cuidado. El servicio no era particularmente amable, simplemente bien. No había pasteles en exhibición, solo un pastel solitario que parecía como si hubiera estado allí desde el día anterior. Por los precios premium, y la excelencia del café y la marca en sí, sería genial si el servicio y la limpieza fueran de primera categoría, pero solo se decepciona un poco. Sin duda seguiré regresando, ya que hay algo único en el lugar, con la esperanza de que pueda realizar su gran potencial y estar a la altura de su maravillosa historia.

My other half and I decided to book an afternoon tea this afternoon and we had an amazing time! The sandwiches were super tasty and the fillings were quite generous! I asked not to have cucumber sandwiches so Clare kindly added more of the others. The Victorian sponge, cupcakes and scones were delicious and the freshly brewed tea was the icing on the cake. We also had the afternoon tea delivered at home during lockdown and it is a great alternative to bear in mind! Well done Clare and see you soon!

Food and service was excellent. One of the staff members, Moz, was especially lovely and made us feel very welcome. I’d definitely recommend.

Kom tilfældigvis forbi en tirsdag formiddag. Kaffetørstige. Den tørst blev slukket af den bedste kop kaffe, vi har fået i London. Tillige en super god betjening i en skøn atmosfære. Tak for kaffe.

We arrived to the vessel at 7:30 to find a lengthy queue already forming. The weather was chilly, but fortunately no rain, or a great many would have suffered exposure to the elements in their fine dress. Thankfully we had done our research, and the FAQ section did warn of this possibility beforehand and we were not caught off guard. The onboarding process went fairly quickly and we were whisked away to our booth accommodated for 7. The champagne and wine pours were swift, substantial, and surprisingly superb. One might never know with “inclusive” beverage packages, but the elegant offering was spot on. We enjoyed Beef Wellington as our main. It was delicious and memorable. One of our guests suffers from a gluten allergy and the advance planning with the SS coordination team paid off. We enjoyed seamless service to address the dietary requirement from start to finish. This is critically important to a successful event, seeing as we would not have wanted to start our meal without everyone in our party having been served. Things could have quickly go awry with meals getting cold, but this was not endured by our party, and we could not have dreamt of a better outcome. The view for the fireworks was amazing and onboard music was entertaining and enjoyed by all. As a New Year’s celebration, it is expensive by most standards. Additionally, one must consider pricey pre-arranged car service. The transportation around London is quite challenging at New Years, with several road closures to navigate, and you’ll want informed and dependable transport. Trust your hotel concierge and prearrange! All things considered, it’s a highly recommended once in a lifetime experience.

Orders for us and other customers were not delivered and forgotten. Reminded the guy behind the counter of some missing items and he just laughed. Avoid.

Un buco . Tavolo nel sotterraneo. Servizio pessimo . Abbiamo atteso 30 minuti durante i quali sono stati serviti clienti (inglesi) arrivati dopo di noi . Caffè terribile . Non auguro a nessuno un’esperienza del genere .

Amateurs de chocolat, nous avons choisi trois sortes de chocolat, dont mousse chocolat, glandulaire et chocolat au lait sous forme de 6 chocolats en sachet. Eh bien nous avons été très agréablement surpris par la qualité. Très très bon. On aurait dû en prendre plus....une prochaine fois peut-être lors d'un prochain séjour.

Me complació mucho tener la oportunidad de visitar el recién renovado Butchers Hall para experimentar su asado a la hora del almuerzo. Como era de esperar, lo más destacado de la comida es un asado de carne asada, precedido de sopa y seguido de una selección de postres o quesos. En general, un gran almuerzo, excelentes vinos servidos por personal profesional en un maravilloso comedor, perfecto. PD: recomendaría tomarse la tarde libre para recuperarse de sus excesivas indulgencias

Expensive and meh. Hey a proper meal elsewhere. Without the views of fire escape and air conditioning. Food was alright.
