Fantastic little place in turnpike Lane. Excellent food and drinks, great ambience. You can see a lot of love has gone into creating this place. Will be back soon!

The service was excellent with the friendly couple who were managing the restaurant. The coffee was so good, and the breakfast delicious with the best toast I have ever had. This restaurant is a little gem and I am so glad we happened across it. Great food great service, would totally recommend it.

First and last time dining since the pandemic and change of ownership. Firstly dogs are now restricted from entering the dining area even though there is no partition between it and general seating so their excuse of allergies rang hollow. Secondly they have moved the kitchen from the middle of the pub and relocated it to the men's toilet, which seems to lack proper ventilation as the place smelt of burning fat and not quite the lovely smoky atmosphere a lot of reviews have claimed. Lastly the food was adequate at best, portions are small for their price and the roast beef i ordered turned up raw and a waiter seeing me push it around my plate offered "to have the chef fry it up a bit" Gave them an extra star for their roast potatoes, so many place get them wrong but were rather good here.

El personal es encantador y amable. El café llegó rápidamente, y excelente. Yo tenía el desayuno estándar con la adición de morcilla y croquetas de patata. Llego bien presentado y muy bien cocinado. La morcilla fue, sin lugar a dudas, el mejor que he comido al sur de la brecha de Watford y todos los ingredientes en el plato eran de alta calidad. Comer este desayuno es algo que estaría muy contento de distraer la atención de mi ruta para hacer, y por algunas distancia considerable. La factura, con un taza de café llegó a 14 libras, que puede parecer un poco alto, pero en realidad fue muy buena relación calidad-precio.

We lounged here for hours till check-in and service throughout was effecient, attentive (Sujeewa and Dwayne) without making us feel awkward for leisurely lunching on a sandwich dish and a lunch bowl (and some drinks). Food was decent!

A really enjoyable meal. The restaurant is very small but this enables the one front of house staff member to be fully hands on and attentive without being overbearing. The set menu was excellent with each dish very carefully prepared and well presented and great care was taken to ensure that our gluten free member was catered for accordingly.Two of our group had the pairing wines which were well chosen and presented with a most knowledgeable verbal description. My only gripe is the fact that alongside certain of the set menu courses you are offered additional items to supplement your meal and which inevitably leaves one to question at the outset whether the menu offers sufficient food ( it does!) I do believe therefore that a set menu should be precisely that albeit of course you can offer alternatives for one or more of the courses.

Very disappointed, we booked for the brasserie, seeing the photos and Google reviews, we were in a hurry to come and eat one evening. Arrival Tuesday 7 p.m., just 2 tables present, despite our reservation and confirmation, our table is not set. In the end empty room (3 tables) as shown in the photo. We are given the menu when ordering and when we give our starters we are told that there is none... only the main course. THANK YOU for warning us before... 😰... we order 2 chickens and 1 ribs, we come back 5 minutes later to tell us that there are more ribs. So no starter and out of 3 dishes there are only 2 available. The chicken was good. But atmosphere without music, empty tables, missing more than half of the menu. Really disappointed 😞

Fui al greystoke con unos amigos después del trabajo, el lugar estaba ocupado con un buen ambiente, el gerente creo que se llama Angelo era muy amable y tenía todo bajo control muy profesional

Opted to sit in the lounge over the restaurant because of the decor. The bar area carries a nice vibe and chill music. As soon as you’re seated, you’re told about a minimum spend of £25. Not a big deal, because of the prices. Initial service started slow, but once I was able to order, things moved fairly well. Food was very good. Drinks were nice and came out at a decent pace. The oysters as a starter were fresh. Baby chicken for the main was a little undercooked, but I think mostly done. Tarte Tatin was smaller than used to for the price, but still tasty. As each course hit the table, a man I assume was the manager, stopped by shortly after to see how things were. A nice touch as makes you feel they care about quality control. Would def go back, and I recommend it to all whether for drinks or a posh meal.

My other half and I decided to book an afternoon tea this afternoon and we had an amazing time! The sandwiches were super tasty and the fillings were quite generous! I asked not to have cucumber sandwiches so Clare kindly added more of the others. The Victorian sponge, cupcakes and scones were delicious and the freshly brewed tea was the icing on the cake. We also had the afternoon tea delivered at home during lockdown and it is a great alternative to bear in mind! Well done Clare and see you soon!

Had a wonderful Matcha Latte made with coconut milk and then sprinkled on top a little Cacao powder. Nice jazz music and friendly staff.

Tuvimos la desgracia de estar caminando por el sendero de remolque del canal en el momento en que el barco de la MFL pasaba. El olor del motor diesel era terrible, (La mayoría de los barcos de recreo que trabajan en el canal tienen motores eléctricos. ) Afortunadamente pudimos dejar atrás a la MFL cuando pasó por una de las esclusas en Camden, pero hace que caminar por el sendero de remolque sea realmente desagradable...

Tuve que cambiar mi pañal de bebés en el piso del cubículo. No hay excusa en este día y en la época en la que puede comprar instalaciones de cambio desplegable que funcionan en espacios reducidos. Decepcionante teniendo en cuenta la clientela de los cafés y el hecho de que se anuncian a sí mismos como amigos de la lactancia materna.

Gran servicio, gran comida gran equipo. Una cálida bienvenida cuando llegué, los primeros 30 segundos siempre es una buena guía para la experiencia. Ahora me toca ir a desayunar cuando estoy en esa zona.
