We had a really nice Sunday roast and dessert and were provided with excellent and friendly service, I would highly recommend.

The Sunday roast was delicious with a beautiful merlot gravy made by Toby the chef. My only suggestion for improvement would be for a bit more green veg, though I know that not everyone feels the same! Yorkshire pudding was also fresh. Dessert menu is a bit limited but we enjoyed the lemon tart which sported three pieces of fresh strawberry. This pub is friendly towards families for get togethers and I have observed that members of the Japanese community here in West Acton are particularly loyal and appreciative. Angelo, the manager made us very welcome and ensured we could enjoy a football match on Sky that afternoon. There is ample seating plus a pool table and the furniture is well maintained and comfortable without the wobbly tables often to be found in other pubs in Ealing!

No he vuelto desde!

We were visiting at least once a week, not always to eat .The bar manager is sometimes run off his feet with only one other member of staff and they have to serve drinks, clear tables, lay tables, take food to tables and at times this is almost impossible so the bar has a long queue and people end up walking out.In the busy times there should be someone allocated to just dealing with clearing and laying tables and delivering the meals to the tables. There is no doubt about it this pub should have more staff, especially if there is sport on TV.SO unfair on the bar manger who sometimes looks so tired, but always continues to be very pleasant to the customers - which is fortunate for this pub.Hopefully the general manager can look into this to prevent customers from going elsewhere

We were so impressed by the welcome and the service we received that we went back the next night and had the steak and ale again but this time with the hunters chicken (£8.29). Once again, we had no complaints at all. It is certainly somewhere we would visit again if we are in the area.

Reliable long-standing North Ealing pub that offers a nice range of beers & wines and serves decent food (the pies are especially good). The Greystoke was successfully revamped a year or so ago and is now branded as a Taylor Walker pub (it was previously a John Barras). It was a nice refit and The Greystoke now looks better than ever without having undergone any real change in its clientele, who reflect the cultural mix of the surrounding area. It's a nice, friendly place - always worth popping into.

Visited recently following the refurbishment. Was bitterly disappointed. Will not set foot here again. It WAS PREVIOUSLY a lovely friendly good value pub, with a traditional feel. The biggest disappointment was the loss of the POOL TABLE and JUKEBOX.Clearly they are trying to jump on the gastropub bandwagon. However the food on the new menu was certainly not gastropub worthy! The old menu had character and was more interesting. This is what I would call a "tourist menu" in a zero-tourist area! Things like 'big ben burger' made me cringe. Despite the fact we went for dinner we were so un-inspired by the menu we went for a curry to the lovely Indian next door. This menu may work in town but not here. And lastly they appear to have new staff. The charming, delightful, warm & friendly "Barbra Windsor" type landlady/barmaid appears to have been thrown on the scrap head (along with the pool playing ex-regulars)- she had been at the pub for YEARS and YEARS. New staff seemed slightly grumpy and not happy when I challenged the changes. Spirit group should be ashamed.

What a joke! The staff were vacant and unfriendly, really don't know how this place would cope if it ever got busy which I doubt it ever will!We are all local residents and its a great shame that our local pub is a big let down.Whoever runs this place, you spent money doing it up for nothing, because word will travel fast to avoid your place, so you'll be putting up a for sale sign before you know it!

I echo the views of the other reviewers. Recently refurbished but has retained a pub-like feeling. Refurbs can often kill a pub trying to be something it is not and thankfully not in this case. The staff are really friendly and welcoming both behind the bar and waiting staff. Chatty and engaging rather than being transactional like most pubs now. The food is traditional pub food and is both well presented and tasty. I prefer a plate rather than a chopping board a piece of bark to eat off of but that's just a personal thing. A good array of booze and if you are a Becks Vier drinker, it is the best I have had anywhere. Becks is usually flat nowadays but not at the Greystoke! Finally the prices are the best in Ealing, around 70p to £1 a pint cheaper I say. Definitely give it a go, highly recommended.

I recently moved to the area, and this little pub is the nearest to my house, so one way or another I was going to have to fall in love with it, luckily that didn't take very long. The menu has a wide selection of options, all very reasonably priced, especially for London. I have eaten here a couple of times, and the food has exceeded my expectations every time. The bar is also well stocked, with a fine selection of ales in for the real drinker. Again, these pints are not over priced and slip down a treat. The staff are always friendly, and the place has a great atmosphere to it. I have been in when the place has been packed, and when its been reasonably empty and have always enjoyed myself. The pub also has several screens which makes it a must visit for all sports fans, I often try and position myself between as many screens as possible so I can watch 3 or 4 games at once, but I am just a greedy guy. The only negative of this place for me is that there is a Charlie Austin poster in the male bathroom. I hope that will be removed soon, but I am willing to wait until QPR are relegated.
