The best restaurants serving British food in Letchworth South West North Hertfordshire East of England

I go here regularly with my son and my Mum/his Nanny. Dena always gives the best service be it busy or not. She ALWAYS remembers your preference of drinks and will check this is what you're having before making it. The food she makes is tasty and reasonably priced,....and always has a great selection of sweet treats. Nothing is ever to much for her and we love it. Keep doing what you're doing Dena, as it really works!

Lovely place to eat either breakfast or other times

The food was great, the company was great, the staff were great, the price was great. The only problem was that they kept opening the fire exist and letting the winter in. We could have done without that.

Sadly my visit to this hotel was marred by a very poor hotel room, surely one of the purposes of a hotel is a good night sleep, this is difficult when there is machinery or plant immediately behind the hotel room, which was not brought to my attention at the point of booking in and yet I'd been charged the full rate for the room. Further in the room there was some emergency lighting which emitted a green and softwhite light all night and could not be turned off, this only was noted at bed time, late at night, I had no wish to change rooms at that point. Again this was not brought to my attention at the time of booking in. This impacts room 12 and probably the rooms adjacent at the back of the hotel so be careful if you are offered one of these rooms. 6 and 14 especially. The staff here are friendly and helpfu, and very helpful, the bar food is reassuringly slightly overpriced (which would expect it's a hotel after all)! For an IHG hotel this is poor, I was not greeted with my name and neither was the quality of my stay and inquiry as I checked out. Overall the place is a bit scruffy but clean, and the lighting can be a bit random it's automated as you walk upstairs and down corridors, but seems slow to react to human presence often leaving you in the dark, which is a problem at this hotel may be more than most due to the nature of the stairs and hallways and odd little steps and corners. The shame really this could be a super wonderful quirky kind of stay...
