The best restaurants serving British food in Newnham Bedford East of England

The Kiosk in the Park serves perfect coffee and hot chocolate, their almond energy balls are delicious. Always a good atmosphere and pleasant staff, in particular Trevor.

I have not eaten in a Harvester for at least five years and based on my experience here will make it 10 next time. Arrived to the delight of a barking dog in the bar - surely dogs in a location serving food would be banned. Then after a wait for to meet a waitress who has been well primed to upsell extras without mentioning the price. Having to dodge young kids running amok in restaurant, then mucking around with the ice machine , a constantly barking dog , was finally served a very very overcooked dry burger which I ate because I was simply too hungry to do anything else. On the way out had to dodge food all over the floor from another table .

There were 9 in pur party. We had had meals at the White Horse previously. Two people had light lunch fish and chips. There was far too much (crispy) batter with very little fish. Our meals were recoooked after we complained. I think it's fair to say there was a general disappointment with several meals including temperature of the food and amount of sauce on a pasta dish. I hope this will not deter us from returning.

Never normally leave reviews but our waiter Ciaran really brightened up our afternoon. He was very helpful, attentive and funny too , making us all laugh . At one point our whole area was laughing hysterically 🤣🙌🏻

Lovely family meal, food cooked to perfection , we had starters , main and deserts! Very good service by Dylan ,lovely evening had by all.

Good little menu with variety of selection. We was seated quickly and ordering was easy. It then took about 45 mins for 2 sandwiches to arrive. We was not told of any waits. When the food arrived the salad in the sandwich was all hot and soggy and the bread super hard so we couldn't actually eat most of it. Slightly put me off returning.

Will never go back, food lukewarm and bland. Constantly hassled by tote girls to place bets on dogs. Dogs didn’t look happy or healthy, hardly excelling in animal welfare.
