What a disappointment - we went to the pumpkin patch with 3 grandchildren. The activities there were not well maintained, on the Mini Tractor Trail the tractors would not move due to being placed on damp lumpy grass, the Spooky Mini Golf had definitely seen better days. We paid an extra £5.99 per child for Chocolate Apple Dunkin when booking online which consisted of a very small apple on a stick which was then dipped in chocolate and sprinkles

Greeted and informed they have a COVID outbreak and are very short staffed and serviced may be very slow. We enjoyed tea and cake which was served promptly. We then noticed a female cook talking to the lady who informed us of the outbreak, the female cook was wiping sweat from her neck and face with a piece of kitchen towel, she then blew her nose, wiped her hands and then carried on wiping sweat all with the same piece. She put it in her pocket. She then went and stirred the soup and handled the soup bowls all without washing her hands. The garden centre itself is nice but we will certainly not return to the cafe/restaurant.

We went here for brunch and were warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant. We ordered the chorizo hash and the watermelon salad and shared it between us. Both dishes were amazing, especially the hash. After, we had the fresh fruit pavlova which was delicious and more than enough for two. I need to give a special mention to Sarah who was serving us. She was so friendly, helpful and efficient and made us come to the right decision about the desert!😄

Great venue for food, with fantastic friendly serving staff. You are greeted on arrival and handed a menu. Then served at your table. The restaurant can get very busy at times but you don’t have to wait long. Dogs are Welcomed in certain areas and you can buy dog treats. Good food and decent variety.

My family and I been visiting Frosts at Willington for quite a while now to enjoy breakfast pastries, cakes, sandwiches and hot food together with lots of coffees and teas. All of the food/drinks are delicious. All of the staff are hardworking and friendly and the environment is so relaxing. Occasionally, we visit with my Mum who has Advanced Alzheimer's disease for tea and cakes. Mum is always warmly welcomed by all of the staff and treated with the utmost kindness and respect. Today we were served by Teddy who was especially caring. Teddy was kind and patient while we tried to slowly make our way to a table to seat Mum who has trouble walking and communicating. Teddy ensured that Mum was given a generous slice of her favourite cake as quickly as possible as Mum finds it difficult to wait. Mum said that Teddy was a lovely young man and I watched them smiling at each other quite a lot over the 2 hours that we were there. Mum was so smiley today (this doesn't happen very often) and I attribute that to Teddy's kindness and attention. Thank you Teddy for helping us to make Mum's visit today so memorable - we will be back very soon.

On Saturday a party of ten of us went to Frosts to celebtate a birthday for lunch. Outstanding service was received from Teddy and Danny. Nothing was too much trouble and all done with such brilliant attititudes. Teddy was asked to do so many additional favours other than serve eg. take photos, produce a candle, hide the cake etc. Everything was undertaken in such good spirits. Both young men honestly made the occaison even more fun as we could joke around. We also asked for split bills which can be difficult when serving large groups. All was done well and with such cheerfulness. They are a credit to Frosts. The food was brilliant too!

Drove from Ampthill to have breakfast. Checked website first for end time and planned to arrive 30 mins before then. On arrival at 11:05, we were told that breakfast ended at 11:00, as yesterday, the menus were changed. However, online the website still quoted an end time of 11:30.I ended up with a very nice piece of cake but it hardly compared with what had been anticipated. I wouldn't normally have cake for breakfast!!

We had three excellent meals, which were enjoyed by all three of us. If I was picky, the only fault was that the rocket leaf in my Stilton and Walnut salad tasted dry. If a dressing had been added, it would have lifted the whole meal to another level. The service was excellent by the staff who welcomed us, but I would like to thank Teddy, who gave us exceptional service and was very polite. We went into the restaurant at noon, and by 1:15 p.m., there was a queue as they were very busy.

Yet again a relaxing wander round and a coffee break spoiled by the sheer amount of dogs allowed in the cafe and shop?! Its becoming a little like Crufts, as in who has the best dog on show. I have a dog but wouldnt take him to a Garden Centre cafe/restaurant or to walk around a retail shop with some high end goods on display. There was a dog scrap near where I was sitting; lots of barking and yelping. One wee'd on the cafe floor, no attempt by owner to mop it up, just left it. One tried to wee up another customers chair. Surely this isnt pleasant or good H&S when your eating, or trying to relax for a break. One was off the lead near the cards section so difficult to get to the cards and the owner wasnt keen to put their dog on the lead. Ive been going to Frosts for a very long time, and the addition of the fruit and veg stall is excellent. Great Quality, apart from having a four legged friend cock their leg up the sides of the fruit n veg stall. Perhaps some signage would make pawfect sense saying dogs are welcome but to be observant of their furry friends.

I visit the restaurant regularly and I have to say it is very much a great place to visit for lunch. I went last Friday and the welcome at the door as always, by the lovely Jeanette and the rest of the managers was superb, always smiling, Informative and friendly. The Fish and chips were top class. All the waitresses especially Esther, that served us were great. Yes there can be a wait for food, but it is now a sit down restaurant with a lot of seats , so this to it is to be expected. Myself and my friends had plenty to talk about so we were happy to wait. Well done Frosts and Thanks for a great place to meet.

Nicely decorated, spacious restaurant area, sensible and competent staff, decent menu. I think this is the best garden centre restaurant in the St Neots area. Tip: we went at 12:10 intending to beat the lunchtime rush. In fact they explained this was usually the busiest time of the day. It was markedly quieter at 13:00, for sure. They are continuing to do major improvements to the place; nothing detracted from our visit and it's good to see that they are doing still more. We loved it. Brief niggle: my jacket potato came in excellent high-end crockery, but the dish containing the spud was prone to roll around as I cut into the potato. A wider, flat base might be more practical.

We were kept waiting for 20mins before being asked for our order , then the table next to us who had just arrived were approached first .We did ask if they minded us going first as we had been waiting so long .The girl was very apologetic about the wait but we did say it was not acceptable as there were several of them standing around talking and this wasn't the first time it's happened .Our food arrived with a dirty cup , no serviettes and no knives provided with a cream tea .One knife was brought to us when asked , the cup was replaced by a clean one . On paying a lady ( Beth) asked if all was OK, we told her no and what had happened , she proceeded to say that we were out of order saying to the girl we weren't happy and that a customer had asked if she was ok as she seemed upset ! .She certainly wasn't when we spoke to her and we pointed out that it wasn't personal just the bad way things are run in there .Beth was very rude and kept saying there were good reviews on here .Well yes there are but lots of bad ones too. This used to be a lovely place to visit but since table service has been brought in( apparently due to covid ! Do they not realise thats over ! ).its awful we have put up with the bad service for many times now so will not be returning. Just to add this was after 3 on a Sunday afternoon when half the seating had been cordoned off , so they were hardly rushed off their feet

Cream scones spoilt by the strange cream. We usually love these scones but something happened to the cream which should be - white and fluffy Chantilly cream. However, the cream was a grey colour and not fluffy and tasted odd. We did inquire and a kind member of staff went and asked the chief. Apparently is was supposed to be the usual cream but may have some added vanilla extract. This was NOT vanilla to the taste?

I was advised by customer service staff at Willington Garden Centre to make my complaint about their restaurant via TripAdvisor, so here I am. I have been visiting this restaurant for many years and generally have had a good experience particularly enjoying their fruit scones. When we arrived today they were very busy and we were advised 45 minutes waiting time for food and 15 minutes for drinks and cake. We decided to have just a drink and cake. We sat and waited for our order to be taken only to find the waitress take the order for the table next to us who arrived 10 minutes after us. I told her we had been waiting much longer, she just said she'd be with us soon and rolled her eyes. We left at this point as her rudeness was unacceptable. I went to the customer service desk to complain and was met by indifference. A manager was called who was also indifferent telling me it was nothing to do with her and she couldn't find the restaurant manager. She did not ask for my details, just walked away. The staff member at the desk said most people use TripAdvisor to make a complaint! Sorry for the 1 star review but it reflects our experience today and has put us off ever returning.

We visited Frosts pumpkin patch in Willington last week with 2 little ones. At first glance it looked nice with lots of photo props. However, the amount of dogs that were there was horrible, a couple almost jumped on my baby’s pram! When you get closer to the props you realise how dirty/muddy it is. We also saw a dog having a pee on one of the props so did not even let our kids sit or go near them, which was a shame. We also queued up at the Witch’s kitchen which took absolute forever, when we got closer we realised why - the 2 ladies working there were extremely slow, I’m not sure if it was their first time working at a cafe but there was no organisation at all. The hot chocolate I ordered was hideous and tasted like water, we also got a chocolate muffin, which again was very bland, the extremely cheesy pastie barely had any cheese? This all cost £17 and was not worth it at all!! We also didn’t bother getting a balloon animal because again the queue was ridiculously long and super slow! They should allow less people in so everyone has a fair chance to make use of everything. They should also have a no dog policy! I don’t think we will be returning unless they make some changes!

It's a nice garden centre, really clean and follows an interesting one way system so it's hard to get lost.Looked like they were setting up for Christmas when we went so it was a bit of a mess and displays hadn't quite been set up yet. The pet shop was extensive which is always nice to see, the dog loved having a mooch around in here.Nice choice of decorations/plants/candles and bath stuff - there was a bit of everything and each room seemed to have a different theme which was fun. The cafe was shut but take away drinks and cakes were available still. Shame we couldn't have the full Frosts experience and go for a sit-down lunch as well. Nevermind!

I just used the paper to wrap up several presents and, when I finished, I noticed that the wrapping paper had stained my hands pink. Please see attached photos. I have never experienced this before with any wrapping paper, and I am particularly disappointed as it was a relatively expensive wrapping paper at £3.99. I have never purchased wrapping paper from Frosts before and usually would visit a card shop, but as they are currently not open I did not have any choice. I would not recommend.

We thought she was rude and clearly fed up during her shift. We ordered 3 things the same , 1 arrived like warm and the other 2 piping hot - we wouldn’t return as we felt the restaurant was pricey for the quality of food and service and the food tasted like it had been cooked in old fat , cakes were dry and the scone for the cream tea was huge but could of easily filled holes in a wall for it being hard and dry - clearly not fresh Wouldn’t recommend

Really impressed with the afternoon tea - excellent value for money. Lovely fresh cakes and sandwiches with excellent service. On par with other afternoon teas I’ve had at twice the price. The best bit - I am dairy intolerant and I’m used to either feeling guilty for causing a fuss where I need to ask about ingredients, or used to not being able to really do afternoon tea because I can’t eat half the options. However, we didn’t even have to remind them that we’d booked a dairy free option - it automatically came out with a whole stand of cakes, scones and sandwiches that I could eat. Really impressed!

These are then given to the children who take them through to the next room for a story with santa. The adults have a mince pie and then its meet greet and photo time with Santa. On our way out we are given an activity pack and then we get to make reindeer food (that you can put out) before collecting your photo (if you want it).Such a wonderful detailed event with everyone putting in 100%.We loved it.

Great premises here, with plenty of parking and seating. The food there is good, though I am not a great fan of their offering, it tends to be of the brie, baked potato and cranberry style of food. By which I mean, that the menu is not well suited to regular guys: no bacon rolls, sausage sandwiches, full-english breakfasts etc. I get the impression that the menu is devised by women for women - certainly it's higher-end on the price scale. I wish there were one or two simper things on offer. It's a tad poncey for me.

We were greeted at the door with a friendly good morning. This in no ordinary garden centre, some describe it as an indoor market or a department store. Certainly it sells lots of diverse things. Too many to mention here. There are plants and shrubs outside too. Recent improvements have enlarged the cafe with more seating so that it can accommodate more customers at busy times. It is very popular for coffee and cake as well as lunches. The Christmas offerings of wine, gifts, decorations, scented items was huge and this will be a busy place in November and December. The coffee, savouries and cake are to be recommend.

Went here with friends for lunch on a Tuesday, two had scampi, chips and peas and the other person had, well to be honest it was some chicken concoction, with vegetables, the food was lukewarm, there seem no way of keeping the food hot, maybe I missed it, the chicken thing was just a mush of shredded chicken, if you could find it, the vegetables were another strange concoction, the member serving us forgot to mention that the sweet came in the cost, if it were not for a rather helpful member of staff who asked us we would not have received it, the menu is a small plaque which you have to look for to see what is on offer, if a person is standing in front of it, you have no chance this is not the two very large blackboards which mention sandwiches etc, staff were all over place, the most disorganised service I have experienced, what I don’t understand is why these places have to pretend to be Michelin star restaurants, just serve good wholesome food, rather than a lots of quite frankly yuk. It’s a never again experience.

Wife likes to go to Frosts to have a look around the garden centre. Always pop into the restaurant for a drink. Good selection of food, drinks are normal price ok food is on expensive side but quality is always very good so well worth having. Hot food always looks well cooked and presented.

We pre-booked afternoon tea for a friends meet-up and what a great choice of venue! We were taken to our beautifully laid table in the conservatory overlooking the carp pond and garden and introduced to our 'server' Sally. Crisp white cloths, sparkling china and flowers. The choice of sandwiches, cakes and scones were imaginative, very fresh and tasty and beautifully presented - it was a real treat and by far the best afternoon tea I have ever had. Sally looked after us really well (fresh tea top up and a box to take home what we couldn't manage to eat!!) Highly recommended for a real treat.

As a regular customer I have been paying £6.90 for my order even last Friday that was the price. Today it is £8.20 because they now charge an item differently. One regular customer just lost.

I was served hot food with my parents, there was no one at the till. Whilst the folks were being served I moved 2 metres to the free water section to get ice for the non refrigerated drinks. I was immediately challenged by a young member of staff for not paying. Im not sure how you can pay an empty till, its not clear how you can order things from separate counters without paying separately, and to publicly question my honesty for moving to get a glass and ice whilst still within the serving area was disgusting. The supervisor was dismissive of me. Other customers expressed their astonishment to me. Quorn lasagna bland.

Making the most of the garden centre coffee shop was astounded by the charges for basic food. Even a slice of cake seemed poor value. Never begrudge anyone a margin for providing seating staff and facilities but this was too much. Reluctantly continued only to be totally off put by the condition of the food. Curly old looking sandwiches hot food congealing under lamps. I would not expect haute cuisine in a garden centre like buying plants in a restaurant No not for me

Like the garden centre in which it is found, this is an attractive and well-presented cafe. The cakes are very good, with a very wide variety on offer. We have never eaten a main meal here because the prices seem a good deal higher than the quality of the cafeteria-style food seems to justify. Overall, prices are at the higher rather than lower end of the garden centre spectrum but it is quite an upmarket establishment altogether.

Really enjoyed a cream tea here today. Lovely garden centre with an excellent restaurant. The cooked breakfast looked extremely good, it was not greasy at all and there was a lot of choice. We had large freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam with a pot of hot tea, fabulous treat. The staff are particularly welcoming, we spoke with Ginette and Justine who took care of us and ensured we had a lovely time. Definitely worth a visit just for the food but as the garden centre also sells gifts, clothes, food, toys, pet goods and plenty of garden plants, furniture, ornaments etc there is a lot to see and buy if you want to.

visited today on the hottest day of the year after a pleasant trip around the area on our boat. Came past the garden center and decided to pop in for lunch. All we fancied was a ploughmans lunch , but the price at £10.55 for one so way over the top, so we decided to share, and add a portion of fries to this. Well we got two slices of warm ham with fat, one scotch egg from a packet probably from lidl, two bits of sweating cheese, and a slice of a stale pork pie. I was given two massive pots of pickle but no salad apart from one piece of celery, Had to ask if this was normal, got given a free salad as could tell they were wanting to get rid of me, and also heard the staff moaning about the children in the cafe and their parents, so all in all a pretty bad experience

My husband and I have just returned from taking our friend to Frosts Willington for her birthday afternoon tea. Oh dear !! The sandwiches appeared to have been standing for some time and were hard round the edges and the fillings were bland. The macaroons were soggy and the small scones were extremely hard and just broke into pieces when cut.The remaining offerings were ok at best. The gluten free for my husband was a little better. The lady that served us was pleasant . I'm afraid overall it was not good.

A nice place to meet up with a friend for coffee or lunch - a well stock great value restaurant. Great selection of indoor and out door plants plus lots more. The card selection is great , a card for all occasions, very fairly priced. Lots of gifts, items for the home and at Christmas their Christmas displays are amazing . Take a visit you will love it!

Frost's at Woburn Sands is better in my mind. The plants are quality but expensive. A good variety of food; we have enjoyed morning coffee, scones and cake and the occasional lunch.

This place is great for quality plants, tools and gardening accessories. The gift shop is nice but the cafe is EXTORTIONATELY priced and portions on the small side. Compared to Frosts at Brampton, which is cheaper and very generous.

we visited mid week, and afraid to say were not overly impressed. The food is average, the sandwiches are ok, but nothing special, and for the price seemed quite underwhelming, and were limited choice. The cakes are ok, but again for the price seemed a little on the small side. Coffee ok. It can get very busy, so the service is quite slow. We also had jacket potatoes and quality was poor... maybe better quality but smaller potions would be better than loading up the plate with not so good ingredients.

My wife and I were on our way to Bedford and we were feeling hungry and as we were passing Frosts at Willington decided to call into the Garden Centre Café for some lunch. There was already a queue at the counter so we quickly picked up a tray and arrived at the hot meals section. We did not like the look of the main meals so decided to have just Jacket potatoes. I had chicken and bacon and my wife asked for tuna but without the sweetcorn - it comes already mixed we were told - ok so we took a chance that we could separate it ourselves on the plate. I had a diet coke and my wife a small orange juice and the bill came to £18.35p!! phew - I nearly keeled over. Anyway the food was awful, the spud was nuclear hot and the fillings were freezing cold - I was expecting hot chicken and bacon instead got cold chicken/bacon in some sort of slimy sauce - yuk! my wife had little luck separating the sweetcorn from the tuna and both were accompanied by a dry stringy side salad. Really wished we had gone elsewhere could have done so much better for the money.

We decided to head to frosts for lunch after hearing some good reviews. We checked the website for opening times regarding the restaurant and could not find them. We tried calling but couldn’t get through so drove down. Even outside it does not state the food serving times. We went into the restaurant and waited around until finally someone asked if they can help we asked about sandwiches and were told “you can only have salad, lunch ends at half 2” we arrived just after and wanted to have hot food. While the food looked lovely we unfortunately did not get to try it so left. A website update is required here with food serving times. Hopefully next time we will actually get to eat.

Oh Dear, another Pub totally unaware of the current disability regulations. There isn't a ramp, there are even any same level flooring, upon enquiring with one of the staff regarding access to the premises, by one in a wheelchair, we were curtly reminded that this was a traditional Public House, who don#t cater for those with mobility issues! Such a shame as my friend had his legs blown off in Afghanistan, and is a hero.

Possibly the best kebab I’ve ever had. Instead of serving in a standard pita they hand make a naan and cook in front of you which tastes superb, plus the amount of meat and salad added is both sizeable yet appropriate. There’s a few tables for dining in which were clean and the staff were friendly enough. This will be my kebab place of choice from now on.

Lovely country pub. Food good and reasonably priced. Ambience of pub very nice. Service good. Only complaint their telephone had a very loud ring tone and it seemed to take ages for anyone to answer. It sounded like a fire alarm going off! This was very irritating when you’re trying to have a conversation with friends.
