Lovely country pub. Food good and reasonably priced. Ambience of pub very nice. Service good. Only complaint their telephone had a very loud ring tone and it seemed to take ages for anyone to answer. It sounded like a fire alarm going off! This was very irritating when you’re trying to have a conversation with friends.

Great service and excellent food

I don't normally write reviews but feel that I have to mention how great my lunch was today. The manager Nikos and his staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was served efficiently and was delicious. I would recommend the sharing roast platter. Great surroundings and great atmosphere.

I kept going here with friends and colleagues for lunch for years and it was always fantastic. However, the new lunch menu is a joke. Overpriced with laughably small portions.

Fantastic menu, lots of different choice to suit everyone. Portion size is very generous. Warm and inviting staff and nothing was to much trouble.

Sadly the sausage and mash had sold out before 2.30pm Molly was excellent though and charming throughout, great recommendations for deserts.

Molly was fantastic.... I had some questions about the Christmas menu and Molly really took the time to make sure I had all the correct answers. Food was lovely, (scallops weren't hot but again Molly sorted this for us.) thank you!

Recommended by a friend we were lucky to get a last minute table for lunch on Sunday. Whilst none of our party had roast dinner, there were plenty of other tasty options. I would highly recommend the mushroom in cheese and port sauce - could have eaten it as a main!! There is a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff are friendly and efficient.

Decided to have a meal at this pub as it allways looks nice every time we drive past. Nice staff nice surroundings. Very confusing menu over gluton.free , one menu said yes online menu said different. After ordering we was told chef had dropped some bread that wasnt gluton free in to the fryer so it made it unsuitable for gluten free. When food arrived it was so disappointing. Small portions and the amount of veg we got was a joke. Nice taste but so over priced.

Disappointed tbh, went for the £100 option. Steaks were very average, and pear dessert unpleasant. The chocolate bombe was so so. Expected a lot more. Shame

Have visited now on a number of times. Staff are always extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The pub is very accessible for our friend who is wheelchair bound. Yesterday staff moved us from our original table to one a little higher and easier to fit the wheelchair under. We like the wide ranging menu. Food is usually of a high quality. Yesterday we particularly enjoyed the gammon steak, egg and chips, the steak sandwiches and sticky chipotle chicken starter. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Walked in on the off chance of an available table they accommodated us food was delivered promptly.

First time at the Kings Arms. Came here on recommendation from several friends. Nic and Nic looked after us for the night and couldn’t have made us feel more welcome! Food was great & portion size just right. Happened to mention it was my other half’s birthday and we got a special treat. Will definitely come back and would thoroughly recommend others to visit. We had the most delicious meal this evening! The carrot soup was like nothing I’ve had before and the goat cheese beetroot pear salad divine. Our waitress was beyond lovely. Molly was super attentive, sweet and a fantastic server. We definitely highly recommend The Kings Arms and we will be back.

We had an excellent meal here. The Burgers are to die for, and the chocolate bomb was amazing. The King's Arms have definitely got things right here and we will be back. The staff are very attentive and do a great job. Well done to all involved!

Fantastic Food, the half roast chicken was lovely and moist. All 3 of our party really enjoyed our first visit here and will definitely be back. Lauren &Ashlyn are lovely.

IT MADE A LOVELY OCCASION FOR MY BIRTHDAY

The date went off without a hitch, thanks to Ash & Niko for making it a special night once again. We were wined and dined, and the service was absolutely stable. The food was fantastic, and the cocktails went down a treat—they really knew how to mix things up in the saddle. Even when it came time to leave, they reined in a taxi for us to ensure we got home safely. A truly mane event—can’t wait to trot back soon!

I popped in for lunch with a friend and my daughter and luckily they had a spare table for us as they were rather busy. The food was amazing and the service was quick and staff couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be back!

First time visiting. We had 2 menus to choose from one in which included wine, but as my husband was driving we chose the main menu. I had the chicken parfait and my husband the carrot and coriander soup. For mains I had sea bass as disappointedly they had run out of the chef's special and a favourite of mine monk fish. My husband had the fillet steak. Service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Only criticism was it was so hot inside, a complaint that was shared by a member of staff. Although an old building a few ideas to circulate the air inside please to make it cooler! Will go back as enjoyed the food and service - might sit next to a window though!

My wife and I just met some friends for lunch at the Kings Arms our friends and I had all been before but we were all very disappointed the price for what we were given I had the trio of roasts and the slithers of meat I received for the £21.95 was not good, and the food was only luke warm my wife's burger and chips was also only luke warm and our friends food was not hot either the staff never even asked if our food was OK, all in all very disappointing and would not be going back and would not refer any of our other friends to eat there.

Our family held our wake at the The Kings Arms in Cardington yesterday and I have to say we were very pleased with the quality of the food and the lovely decor and area within the pub we were given and the lovely garden area where you kindly reserved tables for our family and friends.Nicole and Ashley were absolutely brilliant and tended to us very well throughout. I am not from Bedford and was lucky to find this place for such an important event. I will definitely return to have a beer and a meal when we’re next in this area. If you want anything similar I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you Nicole and Ashley everything went as smooth as you said it would,thank you both so much 👍

Astonishingly bad. Cold, chewy, over cooked steak sandwich. Rock hard bread. Tolerable chips. Over priced at £14.50!! Overpriced if it were £1 tbh! No one bothered to check if we re satisfied with food.

Delicious burger again but disappointed it was with a salad, no chips. I mean, who wouldn’t want chips with their burger? Probably something I did wrong when ordering but it should be clearer that you have to choose chips if you want them.

Liv was an excellent waitress. Food was a little cold, and was really let down by a very small serving of rib of beef as part of the duo of beef roast. Not cheap so expect better.

Faith was our lovley waitress for Sunday afternoon, she was very attentive, patient and looked after us so well! The place is lovley, very well decorated and the food is amazing. We had a starter main and dessert and it was well worth feeling full for the rest of the day. Recomend a visit for sure.

Went and celebrated my dad’s birthday tonight. Even though the restaurant was busy and we were warned there could be a slight wait on food the food actually arrived very quickly and was delicious. Rihanna was amazing at managing my mums sesame allergy and gave amazing service all night. The restaurant was busy but she never made you feel rushed or an inconvenience and took the time to give proper service and promptly arrived with anything we asked for (drinks, napkins etc). To summarise, we will 100% be back and thank you to all staff especially Rihanna for a lovely evening

The Kings Arms was busy but we didn’t have to wait long. Service was excellent- thanks to our server Lauren, and the food was the best I’ve had in a long time - Huge thanks to Ben in the kitchen for such a delicious meal - ribeye steak for me and Sunday roast for my wife. Will definitely be back.

3rd time coming and I have to say I absolutely love this place. My partner and I decided to go for something a bit more glamorous to accompany our long awaited date night. Camembert to start was wonderful and the 28 day aged steak from the chefs special menu was fabulous. A little too filling for desert but that is no problem. Ashlyn was wonderful and made sure our needs were attended too. This establishment never fails to amaze me, food is great with a lot of diversity but also the staff really make the place.
