Great country pub with a warm a friendly atmosphere.

Everything about this pub is brilliant ⭐️ The staff are friendly, polite and provide great service 🙏🏻 The food is excellent, the chef and their team make a huge effort, and it’s fairly priced 😋 Special £ meal nights; sausage & mash and steak night are great, and the Sunday Roast is 👌🏻 We moved to the area a few months back and have been many times as it’s so good 👍🏻

Sunday dinner roast beef to die for, excellent service provided by restaurant staff. Thoroughly recommend a visit and we will definitely be back for more.

The Three Tuns feels like a new place compared to the last few years. The refurb and (now not so new) management have done a great job. The restaurant is good. The food is pricey but not above what you’d expect from a good village pub, and you get what you pay for. The service is also excellent, but can sometimes be a little overwhelmed when busy. Village Pubs all suffer from regulars who think they have a special place at the bar, and those who really should just go into town but want to be able to crawl home. The Three Tuns has struck a good balance of catering to locals who want a drink and a village pub night out, but not encouraging it at the expense of a decent family restaurant.

Food is top quality, atmosphere is lovely and staff are all very friendly and welcoming. We have been to visit a few times since discovering the place, food/drinks was perfect every time! Thank you for providing a great service! A special highlight on the food, fresh and delicious!

Couldn’t get an order for drinks or food in the restaurant since their servers were down. Seemed strange given we’d drank at the bar for an hour. Waitress seemed totally confused , and there were no senior staff around. Left after waiting another 10 minutes.

First time visit certainly not the last . A very warm welcome from front of house . Max made sure our dining experience was first class . The Chicken Schnitzel was succulent , dressed in garlic and parsley butter a delight on the tastebuds highly recommend. Hubby had the three tun burger....he loved it . Upgrade with the chunky chips they are sublime . Max you were amazing ! Fabulous chef a real delight.

Impromptu visit. Random Saturday dinner at 16:45. Craved great British pub scoff for some reason! From start to finish; amazing. First class service, food & ambiance. We were the first sitting for dinner service. Greeted with a smiley face, tentative service and amazing food. Well presented, tasty & service-timings were spot on. Kinder Bueno Cheesecake? Don’t order a different desert. It’ll change your life.

I had a "curry" .Tasted similar to a "value" microwave curry served by staff who don't talk much

What an excellent Sunday lunch accompanied by superb service. Our second Sunday visit and once again it was excellent. Not enough places take the time to do a proper Sunday roast. Potatoes are crispy. Meat is cooked to perfection. Can’t wait for our next visit

Fantastic roast with the family

Lovely food but felt very ripped off when they charged us £29 for a bottle of Barefoot Pino Grigio. Won’t be eating there again.

Great Saturday evening meal and family Sunday lunch. The loveley Grace looked after superbly as always on both occasions. Very attentive and welcoming. She made sure the small children had everything they wanted. The food was delicious. We highly recommend The Three Tuns.

The Sunday Roast is out of this world. I'm still dreaming about the gravy. The chicken breaded schnitzel was outstandingly good. Every bite was phenomenal. Lovely decor and staff were great too. Booking again for my birthday,

What a gorgeous gem in the heart of Biddenham. The service and team were fantastic. We tried out the lunch menu. Looking at the menus they are small but perfectly balanced and they execute their dishes so well. My only recommendation to the team would be add some salad options for those in need of something a little less Gastro and more fresh. As an individual with some dietary considerations this would have helped. But I certainly won’t dwell because I left so food drunk from the most wonderful lunch. Hubby had the delicious three tun burger - popping the gherkin, onions and tomatoes on the side was a thoughtful consideration, meaning you could add / remove what you like and leave what you don’t fancy in the bun. I had the haddock and chunky chips etc. The batter was so light, so tasty that in my mind - it’s the best fish and chips I’ve had for some time! Pricing is reasonable for portions and quality. Parking was fine and plenty. Atmosphere lovely and everything felt clean and fresh. Genuinely recommend and will definitely be back! Thanks team!!

Good Village Pub with Great Food, we called in here at around 5.30 for a drink, the bar had that old fashioned village pub feel with lots of atmosphere & log fires roaring. We stayed on for a meal in the restaurant both my wife & I having medium rare steak & chips washed down with a bottle of wine, we both agreed the steak was one of the best in years . Great pub, Great food, Great service & atmosphere *****

We all received a very warm welcome. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. There is a good selection of food on the menu and it was cooked to perfection. The prices were very reasonable for the standard of food and the staff were excellent. Highly recommended.

Cold roast No check back on table

My wife, son and I paid a visit on a quiet Friday lunchtime. We both had a special starter of salmon and hake fish cake. My wife had chicken schnitzel, and I went for cajun chicken burger. Can’t grumble the food was excellent. The service was exceptional. Will definitely be going back.

I’ve eaten here a few times now and find the food on par with a fine dinning experience for a pub restaurant. Great value steak night, generous portions and as a former chef I appreciate the quality ingredients used. We tried crab Thermidor as a starter on the new menu and I had the chicken supreme, the portion size was perfect and the taste was divine. No desserts but a few glasses of the quality wines on offer. I popped in for a planned lunch on a Friday with my family. We sat in the restaurant area and felt immediately at home. A lot of that was down to the wonderful and kind service we received from start to finish. The pub itself is well looked after, clean and tidy. The food was fresh and tasty, the menu has a decent amount of variety. I can see myself returning there again and look forward to trying other dishes on their menu. We found this hidden gem in the beautiful village of Biddendenham near Bedford. The starter Remoulade of crab and haddock in filo pastry with marinaded carrot, prawns with avocado puree was one of the best starters we've tasted. I had Barnsley chop for main course and my wife has fillet of Sea Bream with new potatoes and steamed vegetables. For dessert I had lemon posset with meringue, strawberries and caramel biscuit which was amazing. There is also a large outside space for dining in the daytime or on a summer evening. Highly recommended.

Me and my husband popped in as we were waiting to collect someone in the area. We haven't visited before but what a beautiful pub. Gorgeous food very friendly and polite staff. They were also able to cater to my husband being gluten free and they are dog friendly! We have booked for a family dinner this Friday!

We hosted our wedding at the Three Tuns, Biddenham. Lars and his team made it a truely memorable experience....just what we had hoped for. The catering was delicious and incredibly presented. The Staff were amazing. Thank you!

Fabulous pub where the welcome was first class. The menu was varied and the food was amazing. The service was incredible as we were a large party. All the foot was delivered hot and together. The staff were polite efficient and helpful. I will definitely recommend the 3 Tuns.

Wednesday Steak night, we all had fantastic fillet steaks cooks just as we liked them. 2 with garlic butter and mine with peppercorn sauce, must admit that last visit i has stilton sauce which was amazing, hopefully it will return

Met friends at the Three Tuns for Wednesday Steak Night. Superb food - perfectly cooked....we are not really big fans of red meat - however the steaks were delicious. This is second time we have visited the Three Tuns for steak night. Both times were excellent. We have also had Sunday Lunch there a couple of weeks ago - also very good, as was Friday Night Fish & Chips. We look forward to tying the new Thursday Night Burger & Pint NIght! A lovely pub in a lovely village.

Food was lovely, however let down with very slow service . Long time between clearing our table and asking if wanted deserts. Had to ask twice for bill despite waitresses not serving just chatting at the tills .

We visited on steak night. All our dishes were delicious and service was great. We had a great meal and will definitely return m.

We arrived a bit late but phoned ahead. We were told they stopped serving food at 8.30 and they asked the chef if he could squeeze us in- we were told he could but we had to choose our food quickly, what a wonderful way to be welcomed! When we ordered we were told they only had limited amounts of food- ‘you have ordered the falafel- you’re supposed to get 8 but we only have 5 left’ (and then 4 arrived). I ordered the vegan curry (as someone who has not eaten meat in 30 years). What was served was a chicken curry. I took one bite and spat it out- I can tell the difference between a dead bird’s rotting carcass and actual food a mile off. Feeling sick, I went to the toilet, and whilst I was there the server tried to convince my boyfriend I had ordered the chicken curry (yes, of course I had!). When I came back to the table she tried the same number on me. Vegans don’t order chicken curries. FFS. The worst service, the worse food, just the worst.

Popped in on a day visit to Biddenham, what a beautiful spot. An excellent dog-friendly pub, we got to enjoy the lovely garden too as the weather was good. Great range of beers and the food looks promising. We will be back!

Went out with my boyfriend for his birthday dinner! We had the sausage night menu and it was amazing! The atmosphere was brilliantly friendly and relaxed and a special mention must go to the chefs! Highly recommend the food and a return visit is definitely on the cards! Thank you all at the tuns!

The Three Tuns changed ownership last year and it’s really gone from strength to strength ever since. The decor looks lovely, the staff are always really friendly and the food is amazing! We love their Sunday roasts (best in Bedford!) and their lunch menu during the week is really reasonable too. The venue is dog friendly in the bar area, where you can order food - and it has a lovely garden to be enjoyed during the summer months too. A must visit!

Rocked up at The Three Tuns in Biddenham for an impromptu Saturday lunch. We both chose off the Special Menu. Hummus to start with followed by a Risotto and a Chicken Supreme. All cooked very well and tasted delicious. Reasonably priced. Very friendly and efficient waiting staff. Coffee in the garden to finish. A good experience which we will be repeating soon.

Ordered 2 starters Onion Rings, Potato Skins with Jalapeño peppers, brought to the table then asked if I would like a plate? Main course me & my partner both elected for Cheese’s & Onion Pie with mash potato and Cabbage each. Both plates arrived with a jug of Gravy on top of each plate, Both jugs had no handles, when my partner picked up the jug it instantly burnt her fingers as it was red hot also I couldn’t pick up my jug of gravy as it was also boiling hot. First bite of the meal was the savoy cabbage, I instantly got a burnt taste in my mouth. It was burnt all across the top dry and inedible. Both plates had been grilled at a high temperature with the gravy boat on top. To add insult I was charged and extra pound for jalapeño peppers that are included in the starter. I was also charged x2 £15.60 for the Cheese and onion Pie when on your website and on your menu it states £14.00 £5 nearly I was over charged, the chef can’t cook a basic Savoy Cabbage, you over charge and can’t even provide handles on gravy jugs just to look fashionable. Also has a 1 food hygiene rating major improvement necessary, well that’s a true statement.

4 years ago I gave a shocking review as did many others. The pub has been transformed in recent times and it's now a great place to eat. As others have said the staff are a little inexperienced but that seems to be the norm no matter where you go these days.

A change of ownership and chef has made this village pub excellent again. Absolutely superb food (I had prawns to start followed by highlander burger). Honestly you’d be hard pushed to find a better burger. Keep it up!

Poor. Poor beer and wine selection, poor service, could be an absolute gem of a place. Terrible toilets with no soap and a hand drier that sounds like a jet engine is being tested in the bar. Very disappointing.

I have frequented this establishment on and off for numerous decades. It was in need of a little TLC. The tuns is now closed until July 1st. The old tuns that I grew up with will be gone, hopefully the next iteration offers the same sense of community as it's predecessor.

We've visited several times over the summer months and had a number of excellent meals - both in terms of food and service. All of the dishes we tried were amazing, so we frequently brought back family and friends so they could try it too....

Absolutely awful. Went with some friends last month before we were allowed inside, waited almost an hour before even asked what we wanted to drink in the heat, meanwhile the pubs ‘locals’ were helping themselves to drinks the whole time!!! Not very covid safe is...
