Great hotel lovely rooms easy access , in the centre of town

Good size room, friendly staff

Great size of pub, quick service & served by very nice staff. Food was delicious.

Stayed here for three weeks, Monday to Friday, you won't be disappointed in the rooms

Very busy. Staff were very polite. We had ordered lamb kofta flatbreads, about 1/2 later apologies,but they had run out, again not an issue, we ordered something else, little bit later, waitress came to say, it was ok flatbread dish was still available, just made her look bad... Again not an issue. Unfortunately, when dish arrived in stead of flatbreads, there were two small circles of wrap with delishous lamb kofta and fillings...this was very tasty, but if I'd known they were replacing the flatbreads, I would have changed my order. Didn't say anything at time as food was still very tasty and the staff were very busy. Would visit again.

Great place . Only had drinks with friends but fast service as always with Wetherspoons. Very large, I think it's probably one of the largest I have been in.

Burger have shrung in size but cost more.tables are never cleaned,always have to call someone to clean them

Called at 11am the date of our Stay to say we have no room. Booked 6 months in advance only to end up in this situation. Due to the festival in Bedford there was no other hotel with availability. Was sent to wetherspoons in the next town. Was promised to have our taxis paid for only to have to fork out the additional £120 ourselves. Staff then said oh well the Huntington hotel is £30 cheaper...... Also promised 20% off drinks in the pub. Again did not happen. Shocking management of a bad situation. Wrote to wetherspoons complaints multiple times with no response so have been left with no option but to express my review online. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Only had coffee and breakfast but all was great.

Didn't use the hotel, just the restaurant downstairs. Food was good, service efficient and good value. I hear from friends reports that the hotel is good quality and reasonable price. Revisit 1207/24: still good quality and value, our meals were served quickly and on hot plates too. Well satisfied.

Same value as any Weatherspoons plus the order to your table drink app very useful when busy

A pub we've visited many times over 30 years and will again. To watch sports eat and drink. And this time we stayed as well. It was during British Grandpris weekend. Still very good. Setup to cater for for many, which it did well. A room format many could learn from, only criticisms why only two teabags. Fellow guests do you seriously nick the toilet brush??

The room was clean and tidy we had our towels changed every day. In a good place just 15 minutes from the station 5 minutes and you're at the bus station

Was super pleased about the cask ale choices, especially Mad Squirrel’s London Porter. Glad that I’m a CAMRA member so used one of my 50p vouchers making the price of a wonderful pint to a ridiculously low price of £2.13. Had to have another two, didn’t I? Fish and chips never disappoints at whatever JDW.

Ordered a traditional English breakfast, quick service and good value.

It was brilliant, i met my daughter and partner for the 2nd time in 22 years.

A great 'spoons BUT with a Hotel attached. It's a win win situation. Everything you expect from them. Great value food and beer in a central location and the accommodation is Premier Inn standard but at a 'spoons price

Fabulous stay at this hotel. Room was immaculate, large, walk in shower, comfy bed, hairdryer and iron in the room as well which was unexpected. Also two bottles of water plus tea, coffee and biscuits. Room was a tad small but fine for just one night. Very convenient not only for the pub downstairs (room was surprisingly quiet considering the hotel is above a pub) but close to all amenities in Bedford centre, including lots of pubs. Overall, a really positive experience and a much better room than the large chain we went on to stay in for the second night, who wanted £50 + for the extra night.

Can't go wrong with a Spoons. Great value for money, order at your seat and table service!

Very good rooms the bed was a bit hard but large room and one of the best witherspoon rooms we have stayed in but toilet roll cheap and thin friendly staff and helpful definitely recommend

Very rude bar staff who asked me to move along on an empty bar! I've drunk in hundreds of Spoons and never been treated so discourteously. Food look like the usual fare. Didn't see the rooms but read other reviews and I'm glad I'm in the premier inn. I will not be back. The Flower Pot is a much nicer, traditional pub which should be supported over this brexit loving home of neo fascits.

Good place to go as wetherspoons go. Lost a star unfortunately due to serving me a jacket potato with my steak instead of the chips I ordered but I didn't complain, probably did me good

On many an occasion too many to mention,hopeless service ,will never have enough people serving at the bar,last night said to 1 of the shift managers where's anyone to serve, "oh they're doing things",same person who said previously where is everyone, too many so called shift managers period,he or she spend half the time as waiter/waitresses on way more money ,half the time on their phones,particularly one female,couldn't organise a pxss up in a brewery . Tables and floor a mess most of the time. Customers continually queing up like sheep and around where your sitting. Attracts a different class of idiot to anywhere else. And the racket of people virtually shouting at each other to be heard above all the others doing the same and that given I play and listen to loud music.

Really nice fresh food took about 20 minutes to come all staff were super friendly would definitely recommend

Being the only Wetherspoons in Bedford- I'm glad this one is a big one. Can get full on a Saturday by 6pm. Fast service and friendly staff.

Great town centre pub/restaurant/hotel. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Food is great and at a reasonable price. Lots of alcoholic and normal drinks available. Located right in the Town centre. Access to all local amenities and bus and train stations.

Got order wrong but liked the location close to Car Park. Downstairs toilets a added bonus. Really big Wetherspoons compared to Spalding's. It was a bit warm in there.

Good, busy Wetherspoons hotel. Usual good food at excellent prices. Visit regularly. Seems to have a good reputation as a place to stay. UPDATE 12/03/24 - Still good visited today, staff very helpful and efficient. Food good and drinks still brilliant prices. Pint of Guinness only £3.60 almost half the price of many other pubs in Bedfordshire.

Love Witherspoons. Great prices, great food 👍

The room heating was difficult to sort out and there was never anyone to ask, all about pressing buttons. The mirror in the bathroom was a long way in front of the basin, difficult to shave. The attic type room was very nicely decorated and furnished and the bed comfortable.

Not a bad pub and the table service was excellent. 3 stars because the place needs a revamp.

Lots of variety of drinks, more than 15 different beers and some food suggestions. I really like having breakfast, there are options of scrambled eggs with toast and all-you-can-eat drinks, fantastic.

Standard Wetherspoons pub food, quick and OK, but not amazing. Cocktails were good though!

Can't comment on the rooms but was unable to complete a review without rating them! It's a Spoons! Don't expect a fine dining experience or you'll be disappointed. It's always busy. Usually have to jump on a table when it's vacated and wait for it to be cleaned. But, can order cheap booze and food to be delivered to the table.

Staff don't know how to serve beer, had to ask for a table to be cleaned before I could sit down, staff in a huddle having a chat spoke to manager wasn't bothered ,report in progress

Was a nice place the room was lovely,the staff were really polite and well mannered . My breakfast was nice and when we asked for extra coffee and sugar it was given to us no problem. Fire alarm went off so we rushed out of the room the reception said it was a false alarm and apologised straight away. Would definitely stay here again

Only popped in for a couple on a Saturday afternoon. Was very busy but barman very courteously apologised for my short wait. Tables were cleared quickly and the floor.was constantly being swept clean.

This spoons is a short walk from the Bedford train station and although the pub itself seems to be in excellent condition, it does appear as though the local community is suffering with a number of boarded up shops nearby - and as I didn't go any further afield and investigate this at all, I'll leave my external perceptions here and just deal with the Pilgrim's Progress. This is a MUCH bigger place inside than out - talk about a TARDIS! The usual seating throughout with a sizeable bar in the corner of the L shaped ground floor. Out the back is a reasonable sized beer garden (which includes non-smoking areas) that looks very comfortable with a design that also provides some privacy when out there. There also stairs to a second level outside area, mirroring the upstairs area inside the pub. The inside was pretty busy when I was there, but it still didn't take long to get my (excellent as always) full English breakfast along with an excellent Guinness from the expectedly cheerful staff.

We came here for dinner and breakfast when staying nearby. Food was great for the price. Service was really quick on both occasions even on a Saturday tea time when it was really busy.

Classic Wetherspoons, fast service, good zoning to separate hardcore drinkers from families and diners. Visited tonight, good atmosphere and nice crowd. Staff were attentive and busy.

Was told I wasn't allowed the beyond burger because of a tomato allergy but I didn't have that yesterday as I had the burger without tomatoe in it

One of the good restaurants in Bedford to visit with your family for a dinner or maybe a group of friends for a leisure drink. Service is fine and the food is good too. Ambience is a bit low and light music would be an added advantage to this. Good place to chill.

Cheap food and drink but getting a bit grubby now sticky tables and carpets , the 'winos' that are in there from 8am are loving it tho lol :)

Had a nice Christmas burger before heading to the Vue Cinema. Pub has a Changing Places facility for those with extra toileting needs.

We met up with work colleagues for a pre-christmas lunch. Everything was super quick, easy to order on the App. Very busy lunchtime but the staff were more than helpful finding us an alternative table for our party. Food well cooked, tasty and filling. Easy to get to from the bus station.

Friendly place in a way that it's availability for all ages and the simple ordering system through the app making it easy to just walk in and enjoy a pint and something to eat. Prices are great. Service is practical and fairly timely. It's a great place.

5 out of 5 for what it is . Cheap , cheerful , clean, in the middle of everything busy. Pleasantly surprised by this 65 pound little gem . Room even gave free bottled water. Albeit is on the high street so the traffic was a little noisy but thankfully died down b4 we settled down to sleep. Smooth check in and pub downstairs is a bonus . This was a busy Saturday night but managed to grab a table !

Stayed here previously and still as good as it was. Very nice Wetherspoons Hotel and Pub. (and I have stayed in 57 out of the 59 Hotels). Karen on Reception was exceptionally friendly, professional and efficient. Would definitely recommend. Well worth a visit.

What a fantastic and affordable hotel to reside whilst in Bedford town centre. Upon my stay the staff were without a doubt overworked and overrun however they worked as a well oiled machine and made the stay an absolutely fantastic experience!The Security team deserves a big mention, “G” (security manager) and his staff were second to none given the current covid situation. His team were extremely diligent, professional, fair but more so...used decency and common sense. The team (and bar staff) policed the premises with integrity and diligence I’ve never witnessed thus far since the outbreak of Covid-19.Teamwork makes the dream work.....lessons to be learned from the Pilgrims Progress team, keep up the fantastic effort you all make! It doesn’t always go unrecognised 10/10 ......Fantastic Team all round!!

Popped in for a drink on a busy-ish Sunday lunchtime, walked over to the bar to order food and drinks, then I waited, waited some more, could see four staff faffing about at the end of the bar, by now there were four customers waiting near to me, eventually a strange young barmaid walked up to a customer who had just arrived she shrugged her shoulders saying you're next? as we who had been patiently waiting were left waiting further.We walked and will be seeking talks with the Pubs Manager, and guess what we won't ever return.

This Wetherspoons have Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. The reception lady was happy chatty and very helpful. Absolutely Amazing value for money, the room is modern and clean. Television was big which was a bonus and the shower was lovely.

At first we were a little dubious over staying in a Wetherspoons hotel, however this was a fantastic hotel and felt nothing like you'd expect a Spoons to be like. Very modern, clean and tidy venue with very nice rooms. It helps that you are separate from the bar restaurant venue via a separate entrance. However you can still gain entry into the bar area from the hotel with ease. I would defiantly stay here again.

a good hotel in the centre of Bedford. Large room with excellent facilities and bathroom. Standard good value Wetherspoon menu available in the bar with a wide range of real ales and lagers.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We were impressed by the service, cleansiness, space and comfort of our room, and by the whole area. Courteous staff, good food at reasonable prices and a comfortable bed. Tray well stocked with plenty of good quality tea, coffee biscuits and mineral water. Near to the shops and bus station and not too far from the trains. We will certainly be using this place again and recommending it to others.

Stayed for one night in Bedford, quiet town... very clean and quaint small hotel but with all the accomodations necessary for a good nights sleep. Would definently recommend this hotel for anyone coming to see or bring their boys th Bedford prep school. Just a walk down the road.

Stayed here overnight. It is owned by J D Wotherspoons. First class accommodationA high standard over all. Right in city center a 7 min walk from railway station. Would Definately use again.

We booked the night here because we were visiting a park near by the following day. We were given the executive suite and what can I say absolute amazing. The room was superb. Room was very very spacious and very clean. Well done all at the hotel. Will defiantly come again very soon.!!! Breakfast was cooked well and served hot.!!!

First time in a Wetherspoons hotel absolutely first class,let us check in early nice rooms well equipped,easy having pub attached ,would use again

I stayed for one night while going to a 30th wedding anniversary nearby. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were very pleasant.The tariffs shown in the window are for week rates, so the charge for my room was higher.It's not bad, it's just that at £89 I really thought that breakfast could have been included. If it had (a small and simple improvement) I would have been giving it a better review that this.The bottom line is that it is ok but I don't think it represents value for money.
