Lovely pub, great vibe, friendly people and I was lucky enough to catch a great Ska/Reggae band, The Pride. Definitely worth seeing them 😁

Shame there was only one ale on,and two with a tag saying " a hint of what to come" taking the mickey,and ale expensive, should be a law on what they can charge

The beers are always well kept and taste GREAT. This is what a proper pub should be, great service, great beer, clean and tidy. The garden is super for sunnier days.

We only visit when Bedford Rugby club are playing at home, however, service and atmosphere good. There was a food wagon in the rear car park. Good ale, worth a visit.

Dropped in for a couple of pints after watching rugby. Warm welcome and excellent beer (T T Landlord).

However, our excitement quickly turned into shock and disbelief when we were unjustly kicked out, seemingly due to the staff's blatant stereotyping. It was a distressing experience to be subjected to such discrimination without any valid explanation or warning. To make matters worse, rumors of the owner's involvement in illicit activities, specifically cocaine use with the bar staff, have emerged. While I cannot personally vouch for the accuracy of these rumors, their existence raises serious concerns about the professionalism and integrity of the establishment. Discrimination and stereotyping have no place in any business, and it is deeply disheartening to witness such behavior at three cups. The actions of the staff not only perpetuated harmful stereotypes but also displayed a complete lack of respect and fairness towards customers. It is essential fort three cups to address these issues promptly and effectively. The management should conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and take appropriate action against any staff members involved in discriminatory practices or engaging in illegal activities. Furthermore, three cups must prioritize training and education for their staff to ensure that all customers, regardless of their background, are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. Establishing a welcoming and inclusive environment should be a top priority, and steps must be taken to ensure that discrimination is not tolerated in any form. In light of my experience and the concerning rumors surrounding the owner's behavior, I strongly advise against patronizing three cups. It is important to support establishments that prioritize inclusivity and professionalism, and three cups has unfortunately proven to be lacking in both areas. I hope that my review serves as a catalyst for change and encourages three cups to address the discriminatory practices and unprofessionalism that tarnish its reputation. Let us all strive for a society where everyone feels welcome and respected, regardless of their background.

Two wing back leather chairs, right by the open fire, fine real Ales and a good natter, no TV, these essential ingredients ensure The Three Cups get our business time after time.

Friendly pub with real ales. Also served hot drinks which my wife appreciates.

No Tv's, no Wi-fi. Perfect Pub. Great beer, friendly service, exactly what a pub should be. Stepping in feels like stepping back to a time when the local pub was at the heart of the local community. Highly recommended.

The Three Cups pub is a great location for all social occasions, I went with a few friends and will definitely be returning with my family. Perfect pub to grab a drink as the atmosphere is great and with the fires you feel so warm and almost at home! Rare considering it’s not long been under new management. The customer service provided by staff was excellent and to have Fin running the pub is just what the place needed, well done Fin!

Visited the Three Cups at the weekend for the first time in a few months with a group of friends and Wow! Looks amazing, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Great range of drinks too. Will definitely be our new local.

A warm welcoming atmosphere awaits you, as you come in from the cold to the roaring fire. A family friendly feeling where dogs are encouraged. Perfect after a winter walk. The charismatic landlord knows his customers well and provides a home from home welcome.

This is a large pub, with lots of spacious areas which would be great if you’re in a particularly large group. However it’s not the smartest of options in the area and is feeling pretty dated and a bit dirty in places. The member of bar staff was friendly and despite there only being a handful of people in it felt a sociable environment. For a no fuss drink it’s worth considering.

Spent the evening here listening to great music & great atmosphere however as three older ladies (without drinks) waiting for our lift to arrive we were asked to vacate the premises and wait outside even though there were still people inside drinking , Not safety aware, very disappointing. Three staff members at the bar still drinking totally unaware of Safety First Protocal . When questioned staff members very dismissive of safety of women having to wait outside, smirking and a total lack of empathy. Real shame as very enjoyable evening spoilt by a few inexperienced staff members. May I Suggest training required ?

One of the best pubs in the area, lovely people, brilliant music scene and great drinks. What more can you ask for?

I've been both drinking and gigging in here for over 5 years. The more things change in the area, the more things stay the same, and the Three Cups always manages to establish a balance of both! From the amazing selections of both in-house and guest ales and gins, to the amazing live music and the always-attentive and friendly customer service, this pub has it all. A perfect pub experience. You can find me propping up the bar every other week.

Amazing open mic every Wednesday from 7pm. Good night to catch some free live music and see whats about. Staff are extremely friendly too and they have local musicians play live regularly too x

A warm welcome on entering and looking for a good ale the staff offered suggestions. Never had that anywhere before and most welcoming. Nice pub and everyone friendly to us both from the North. We shall return..

Occasional live music and good atmosphere

I have been coming to this pub for years but no more I'm afraid. The barmaid blanked me and then when she couldn't ignore me any longer, she scowled at me and took my order with bad grace. No greeting, no please, no thank you. A great local pub that is being ruined. No wonder it's always empty now!

Every time I go to order from here on Justeat my order is always charged and never accepted. Really disappointing when you are advertising on Justeat which is a delivery company!

Currently no food available so had to go elsewhere.

popped in while waiting for a restaurant table opposite.... there was a live solo performer and a Liam Gallagher lookalike party! Great atmosphere from the rugby supporters back from the game and great service from James!

Fine if your a local, rude if you’re not. Bar man barely spoke and locals were rude. Crowded round us (a couple) when there were plenty of other seats and when we said we were saving two seats, encouraged more people to sit down and told us we should move. Felt really offended.

ORDERED ON UBER EATS Wow super disappointed with this. Almost all the reviews on here were great so expected something good but unfortunately not even close. Maybe eating in the pub itself is better but avoid ordering delivery from here. Food took 2 hours to arrive (advised 45 mins). When we tried to call the restaurant for an update on our order (3 times) all calls were ignored. The food itself was lacklustre, chips were cold and the burger was somehow both over and undercooked…milkshakes taste exactly like McDonald’s milkshakes (but 4 times the price). Overall very disappointing sorry.

Was probably the liveliest and most fun pub in town after lockdown restrictions were lifted but since the last landlord left it has gone downhill rapidly. New landlady and staff don’t seem to know what they’re doing. The pub has lost its charm. Hope they recover this situation.

ORDERED THROUGH JUST EAT !! Avoid at all cost over priced microwaved food, we paid £41 for 2 burgers and loaded chips 3 milkshakes and a kids cheeseburger meal. The milkshakes that we're £3.95 each were watery and tasteless and not even half a cup full. The 2 burgers were rubbery and tasteless and clearly been microwaved. The loaded chips were cold and again a very small amount for the price of £4.50. We ended up throwing the whole meal away. We will never use this restaurant again

Was good but when we walked into the garden area we chose a table to sit at. Two members of staff were having a ciggie break and went back inside whilst another member looked at us and sat down with their friends. I went into the pub and asked if they are still offering table service as they should be and was told - yeah, can do or you can order at the bar. I told the barman that I’d been sitting outside for five minutes and that you saw me come in. No apology. There were 13 people in the garden and four in the pub. Normally got a good range of local ales and normal lagers.

Toilets were a let down. Not of an acceptable standard.

One of the best pubs in Bedford

We popped into the Three Cups in Bedford, hoping to enjoy a fine ale, alas upon our arrival the bar staff were nowhere to be seen, very quickly there were nine other people standing at the bar, no social distancing and no masks being worn, outside the front of the pub we walked past the smokers standing on the narrow pavement, all in all, a disaster waiting to happen. COVID-19 has taken a high toll in Bedford is it little wonder with places like The Three Cups not following the basic guidelines?We will never return to such a shambles again.

This is a smart pub about 5 minutes walk from the town centre. There is a reasonable secletion of local beers and the pub is fairly comfortable. The prices are fair for the area and it is a nice place to spend a hour.

The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was great, 100% recommend any family or friend to visit this local pub. Unfortunately I live over 200 miles away otherwise I'll be here every night.

Pub smells due to blocked toilets. Young lad behind the bar clearly didn't want to be there, constantly on his phone and unaware of waiting customers. Lack of eye contact or any thanks from him. This pub is in desperate need of some experience behind the bar.
