food is nice and quality......only large portion of chips are a bit small. Bigger portion of chips would be appreciated.

The best fish and chips I have had in a long time

The food arrived in polystyrene boxes (which were banned Oct 2023) and was stone cold! only very few items were warm enough to eat. Shockingly poor company

Bought food on Sunday... the only food we'd eaten that day ... Chicken pie was freezing in the middle. Kebab seemed reheated. whole family had sickness and diahorrea. So sad to see family in so much pain.

Bit disappointed with the service, I called to place an order, which was a fairly large order. I asked for the chips to be well done and was told that this is not possible. I asked why, and they said because they always fry the chips in big portions, I asked if its possible to do a smaller portion instead, just for me, and I was told that they could not do that. I then had to cancel the order. I guess it was too much to ask for 🤷‍♂️

First time visit. Lovely food. Arrived on time. Will definitely be making a return.

First time coming here and can say I’m never coming again food was so bad and chips were like they were made a week ago but just fried again, they were not edible. Do not recommend

Chips were a mix of super soggy and oily and many were burnt both inedible, chips that weren’t either of these were ok. Large haddock was definitely not very large for the price, batter wasn’t very crispy but tasted ok. Bartered sausage batter also not crispy. Nice curry sauce

I Small chips. They were hard as a rock. I phoned up and told him. He's telling me they're fresh. Most? Disgusting chips ever.

fish was lovely so was the battered sausage and curry sauce but the chips were horrible. also I requested delivery but was put down for collection which I was unable to do due to disability. not surebif I would use them again.

Extortionate prices for tiny portions, our savaloy was basically water, £8,50 for a tiny pitta bread with about 5 cubes of lamb in, the large chips we ordered was more like a small, and the food was cold when it arrived later than it suggested.

Friendly and large portion, nice to us even though we ordered late and came close to closing time…definitely going there again

only issue I had was ordered what I thought was a large portion of dynamite ended up with a portion of Donnor meat and chips so ended up with an extra portion of wasted chips

food was too greasy, lots of chips were black inside and needed to be thrown away

the chips looked dead it's like they had been sitting in the bottom of the fryer for about a week they tasted horrible and looked grey and black they were not edible if I'm honest

Food was nice, careful when ordering the kebab, I thought I ordered salad with extra onion, all I got was kebab with onion, it was like getting steak in pepper sauce and only getting the sauce, sadly my mistake, the cat enjoyed it anyway, so it didn't go to waste, just be careful everyone

Food was decent it was warm when arrived no issues with that only problem I have is I ordered large chips and wouldn’t even cover a child’s plate I’d hate to think what a small portion looks like

All the chips were black so disappointed, this was all three portions too. They all went in the bin. Was our favourite takeaway. Not sure if will return again now.

Lamb wrap wasn't edible , everything needed microwaving as it was cold, this wasn't surprising as it was out for delivery for nearly 40 minutes. Won't be ordering again .

The chips was yesterdays and re fried rang up the restaurant and he said sorry it’s because of the weather. All chips have black stuff on and there not nice white and fluffy as there supposed to be if you gone send out rubbish just shut down mate because they look hideous forget the taste I don’t even wanna go near them if that’s what you call chips then forget it Bedford by your self a chip fryer ans stick to him because this is a not acceptable

For a chip shop this was not proper battered cod. Not sure what this was around the fish.

Haddock Fish and Chips was not fresh, and fish was burnt in places, fish bites were good, tartare sauce is Heinz sachet

One of the best fish and chip shops in Bedford. Everything is wonderful and you get your moneys worth. Also amazing kebab 👌

Worst fish and chips I’ve had. Fish was flat, not very cold, chips were chewy. Also extremely expensive for what it is. Best part of the order was the free pepsi max. Will never order from here again.

Food and service are very good. Such friendly and kind people working here. They went out of their way to correct our order, even when we said not to worry about it. Would definitely eat here again and recommend to others.

Order large chips. I would say they were medium at best . The kebab was good. But forgot to put any peppers in. With the order. This will be my last order. As they have done this before to me .

This is our go-to chip shop, always brilliant food! They listen to our special requests each time, the delivery driver always greets me with a friendly smile and the food is always hot. No complaints at all. Cheers! x

Decent local fish and chip shop. No nut oils used (useful for those with nut allergies). Very warm in there though, particularly on hot days, so may wish to wait outside whilst food is being prepared.

Food was great, nice and hot. The driver was very friendly and apologised for the delay on delivery,even though he wasn't late.great service.

Terrible batter on the fish and chips were under cooked

Kebab was nice and so were the chips the burger was not so nice

Ordered the doner kebab as I love them! But sadly this isn’t one to have again, it just seemed to lack flavour and was very boring as a kebab. We ordered a large cod and there were four bones in it, I know you can’t always be safe with fish but when it’s four you start to think did they even look! The chips were average nothing bad but nothing good just your plain old chip shop chips. Delivery however was perfect arrived 30 minutes before it was estimated to do that was very good.

Do think there food has gone down hill . Chips Portions are getting smaller. Especially when a let order . Don't order from here anymore. As they don't care about there customers.

Not so great this time sadly. First to say is last times meal was great, but the fish was extremely over done this time so that the batter had to be broken apart not cut to get through it and it was quite inedible to be honest. The fish was then very over cooked and so dry - not a pleasant experience to eat - I was hungry and didn’t want to waste my money as having a takeaway is a treat to me so tried but didn’t eat it all in end had to pick out what was salvageable. I’d say for me that the fish is the main part of the whole meal too and certainly most expensive part, so this basically spoiled my dinner. Will say chips were really nice again though and the mushy peas were fine so no complaint on them at all. Would try again possibly having had lovely first meal from here, but would be 2 strikes and out if happens again to be honest. Shame.

Didn’t receive bottle of drink as I had spent over £30 to which it says on here !!! For the delivery driver to tell me I had to spend over £35 !!! Didn’t even receive the apple pie I had ordered!

Food was ok, not the best we've had from them. Paid £3.90 for 3 cans of coke to.then receive them and there from a multipack that shouldn't be sold separately so very disappointed

Saveloy tasted either undercooked or poor quality, super bland and jelly-ish. Battered sausage, stale and chewy. Chips and curry sauce were fine. Shame as the kebabs are great.

Arrived hot and fresh. Did ask for burger sauce on the chips and didn't receive it, which is a shame since charging for a dollop of sauce seems a bit pointless when my other locals just give it for free.

Food wouldn’t have been bad but it was cold

Inside the bag was soaked with grease, food was barely luke warm. Ordered a large portion of chips and received a rather small portion, called the restaurant and the gentleman’s response was that is a large portion, I have to pay £8 for a bag of potatoes now my costs have gone up. The large portion is £4.20!!!! Was supposed to be shared with 2 adults and a child one of us went hungry. Absolutely awful response from the restaurant. Won’t be returning.

Delivered by friendly driver and food was plenty hot enough too. Great portion size, chips were lovely, fish possibly a little over cooked (or held heated for a while maybe?) as a little chewy, but nothing too bad and didn’t spoil meal enough to really worry! Very tasty and really enjoyed - would order from here again.

The worst doner kebab I’ve ever eaten. Naan was soggy and the meat looked undercooked and was stone cold (like it had been refrigerated). Disgusting.

I live 5 mins down the road by car and the food got to us stone cold chips looked like they had been reheated a few times already very let down it use to be a good chippy

I used to use another chip shop in town, but they don't deliver, so I tried these guys. 3rd order and everyone has been great! Always on time or early, tasty food and hot. Will always use these now :)
