We decided to use the Bedford Priory Beefeater for lunch due to its proximity to Priory Marina. On arrival, there appeared to be no instruction to wait to be seated, so we found a table in the restaurant and made ourselves comfortable. After a couple of minutes, a waitress whose first language was clearly not English appeared, and she rudely told us to get out of the restaurant area and go into the bar. She then seemed completely preoccupied in “tidying” the area that we had so blatantly desecrated. I took the opportunity to ask her if she had a problem with us being in her somewhat less than half-full restaurant and reminded her that I would be very happy to go elsewhere if that were the case. We left and walked into town where we found a non-Whitbread restaurant who were happy to have our business!

We use this venue wherever they have offers on. Nothing special but normally good value. However on this occasion it was probably one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. Ordered 3 fillet steaks. Took them 20 minutes to tell us they had run out. ( I thought it was supposed to be a steakhouse) Chose half a grilled chicken instead but apparently this had run out as well. Third choice was delivered and was dissapointing. Lasagne dried up and came without salad garnish. Ordered a second bottle of wine but guess what. This had run out as well. Went to the toilet which was in a disgusting state. Men's loo overflowing with a bucket catching excess urine. Cobwebs everywhere. Complete waste of money even after the offer applied. Will not be going again. The whole place needs a massive refurb and new management.

Good selection on menu and friendly staff. We were served by Callum and he was polite and great with our 3 year old nephew!

Had a lovely meal for a birthday, there were 11 of us and the service was fab! We had a great waitress called Niamh and she was lovely, efficient and catered to everybody's needs. The food was hot and full of flavour the double crispy chicken burger was amazing. Deserts were a decent size and were a hit amoung the group. Would recommend eating here.

Visited here several times now. Always pleased with the service received. Today Niamh was our waitress and she was so polite and friendly. Also listened properly to our requests when ordering drinks and food. Today it was busy but service and food time was good. Again the food was served hot. Also situated in a lovely setting next to the marina on priory Park. Will definitely return it's far better than the one where we live

While staying nextdoor in the Premier Inn we had our evening meals and breakfasts here. Food was plentiful and of a high quality. Staff were polite and helpful. The Beefeater restaurant is situated in great surroundings of Bedford Marina and has a really large beer garden where we made use of. Should we visit the area in the near future we wouldn’t hestitate coming back!

Booked a table for breakfast a couple of days in advance. When we turned up we were greatest by the front of house telling us that we didn't have a table booked. I have found my email confirmation and had to argue the point that I did have a table booked. Eventually after checking he sat us down. This is not the first time I have been here and met by the same member of staff who clearly didn't want more people in the restaurant. The rest of the staff were attentive ,polite and provided a great Experiance. Just a shame the front of house spoilt it (again)

From start to finish was absolutely amazing the staff are so friendly, the food was hot and tasty what more could I want, Roxana my server was very helpful helping me pick my food choice

Agnus is amazing and always so helpful. We come here every other week! There is a good selection of breakfast items and very reasonably priced.

Very nice atmosphere and good price for food. The staff were nice and friendly, especially Roxana who was our waitress. Very good knowledge about the food and very kind. We will be definitely coming back and will ask for her.

Great place to catch up with a mate after a couple of years. Nice location next to a country park & car parking is trouble free. It's been a while since I ate here and I was still impressed. The menu is less complicated now and the food is excellent. A big shout out too for Rozana T who looked after us very well.

Went here to get the kids some dinner, was very quiet, was sat down and waited over 20 minutes and nobody took our drinks order or food order. We ended up walking out and visiting the white horse newnam Avenue, great service and food! Don’t waste your time with beefeater, head down the road as there are many better restaurants

Always a pleasure to visit the beefeater. I'm always amazed at how bright and efficient Agnes is so early in the morning at breakfast. It doesn't matter how much pressure she's often under she's always brilliant.

Having met my husband here many years ago, this place holds a sentimental part for us and although last time we came a few years ago not being a good experience, we thought we'd try again. I was pleasantly surprised by the new menu, the better service and the quality of the food. The service from our waiter Ronan, was excellent and he was very sweet and friendly. I hope he gets looked after and gets a raise! The choice of sauces for the meat dishes was excellent, the chicken and ribs were delicious and for me with a non dairy menu preference, the chance to make most dishes dairy free with vegan cheese, was fab. My favourite dish was the biscoff vegan ice cream sundae. I haven't been able to have an ice cream sundae in years from anywhere and the nostalgia of it was great! I'm from the old school of the Mr Men club at Beefeater where the ice cream sundae was king! Thank you for a great experience and for turning things around.

Waitress rude, waited to be seated, queue forming out of the door, no apology for the delay, could not seat us on a table for 6, put us on 2 tables for 4. Was told unable to join the tables together to make a table for 6. ( 4 adults, 1 child, 1 baby in high chair)Asked another member of staff ....no problem. In the meantime 1 member of staff sitting at a table for 6 having her bfast, and and then proceeded to seat 2 adults and 1 baby in a high chair on a table for 6.Waitress then took ages to take our order acted as though she was doing us a favour. Never asked if everything was ok. All in all experience very poor, will not be returning EVER!

It claims to be dog friendly. It is NOT. Having walked around the park which is full of dogs, I was forced to shut my dog in the car!!!!! A little bit of honesty is all I require!!!

Went for Mother's Day, arrived at 12:30 left at 3pm. We only had mains and desserts. Considering we were sat by the front door in-between 2 work stations and by the check-in desk, we had to ask 3 times where our meals were and wasn't offered a second drink had to flag down the stroppy waitress who then proceeded to get our order completely wrong.

Great time out with the family - a family (young kids!) friendly venue where you feel genuinely welcome to be yourselves, chaos and all!

Place has gone down hill again. Mediocre food. Luke warm, bland and poor quality. Festive menu came out looking like it had been microwaved to death. Very dry meat and only enough gravy to fill a shot glass! Cider came out warm. When asked to replace it the front of house manager took it away and replaced it without saying anything, not even an apology. Waiter was great and clearly holding the fort for the other staff. Said chef was very grumpy and has clearly had enough of microwaving the meals. For the price you’re better off going elsewhere
