An Absolute Gem in the Heart of the Countryside! I’m not from around the area, but during my stay, I found myself coming back to The Staff of Life Pub every single day—and with good reason! The food here is simply out of this world. From the mouth-watering tapas, which were a delightful mix of flavors and textures, to the traditional roast dinner that was as comforting as it was delicious, everything was cooked to perfection. And don’t even get me started on the apple pie—it’s truly to die for. Each bite was a slice of heaven, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. Beyond the food, the ambience of the pub is fantastic. It has that perfect blend of warm, cozy, and welcoming, with a lively atmosphere that makes you feel at home, whether you're a regular or just passing through. The décor is charming, and the subtle lighting creates a wonderfully relaxed vibe. What really made my experience special was the incredible service, particularly from Sharon. She is such a gem—warm, attentive, and always ready with a smile. Sharon made sure that every visit was memorable and went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect. Whether you're local or just visiting, The Staff of Life is a must-visit. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are simply unbeatable. I’ll definitely be back!

Haven’t been here for at least 2 years. In the past we found the cafe very friendly with high quality food. First of all I was surprised how empty it was. In the past we were lucky to get a table. This should have been a sign. I sat down to a sticky table. I ordered a burger with chips. I asked if it could come as a cheeseburger. What arrived was a skinny beef patty on a basic un buttered Morrisons roll. No relish, onion, tomato. And the cheese! They dolloped a load of cheap grated cheese on it. The chops were from frozen and the salad garnish was dry as a bone. I had to go find some vinegar. There was no salt in the cheap plastic ‘Aldi’ salt cellar. No serviettes anywhere. I’m not even going to discuss my wife’s frozen ‘Fish & Chips’ with watered down mushy peas. I was so disappointed and will never visit this cafe again. Luckily there is lots of choice in Lutterworth.

Stayed here while doing PADI dive qualification dives over at Stoney Cove. This place is a real piece of history as an old Coaching Inn. Lacked some of the mod cons of contemporary hotels but if you want to step back in time this is your place. Nice bar, lovely breakfast - the lady who served was wonderfully attentive and there was a real sense of family. Outside there is a passageway where I guess the old coaches would have come through but now it's an amazing piece of art is only how I can describe it you have to see it to understand. All in all well worth a visit and I'd happily stay here again. Cheers

I don’t normally do reviews but I feel absolutely ripped of tonight with my meal. I had a giant Yorkshire pudding which I order beef which they ran out of so was left with sausage or chicken, I chose the sausage. When it came it was no bigger than a side plate with 2 sausages a couple of spoonfuls of bland mash potatoes and peas with weak gravy, for £16.75. My partner had a beef and ale pie and the pastry was raw still.

I arrived late and my friends had already ordered. I ordered a baked potato and tuna and it took 30 minutes to come out - and it wasn't very warm! I have eaten lunch there a few months ago - we ordered ham and cheese paninis and they took a long time to be served too! There are lots of cafes around Lutterworth, so I'll stick with those in future!
