Greyhound Coaching Inn is a nice old place with lots history ,staff great, the Christmas Meal we had was very good and lots of it , room was nice . It's the second time I have been to a Christmas Party there it was was just as good as the first time I went there some years ago that's why I give the Geryhound Coaching Inn five stars.

What a gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived we were met with nothing but kindness.Myself and two friends, one of whom has exceptionally large ears, spent a night here to go to a local show. The rooms were lovely and clean and the power showers lovely and hot.We didn’t eat here but after a local Nepalese meal at the Avatar restaurant opposite we adjourned to the cosy bar which has over 100 different whiskies…..naturally we had a dram….or two😂👍👍A great family hotel with great staff.

Stayed here while doing PADI dive qualification dives over at Stoney Cove. This place is a real piece of history as an old Coaching Inn. Lacked some of the mod cons of contemporary hotels but if you want to step back in time this is your place. Nice bar, lovely breakfast - the lady who served was wonderfully attentive and there was a real sense of family. Outside there is a passageway where I guess the old coaches would have come through but now it's an amazing piece of art is only how I can describe it you have to see it to understand. All in all well worth a visit and I'd happily stay here again. Cheers

Lovely little inn with brilliant service. Parking right at the rear of the inn (it's paid public parking but very reasonably priced, with no charge on Sunday), very picturesque little courtyard (which I imagine would be wonderful in summer) and with a couple of nice easily accessible walks nearby. Room had everything we needed, and very accommodating for those travelling with a dog. No dogs in the restaurant but they are welcome in the bar, and they even set us up a table in the casual dining space for breakfast - which was also very tasty! Staff and service were lovely, rooms are slightly dated but nothing that would take away from the stay.

I stayed there for a night it was a standard hotel and room. We went to the restuarnt food was basic but then went to pay and was told that Scottish money was not accepted. In this day in age I find that discrimination it is legal tender my family hade to find English money between us to pay for the meal. I was not happy I will be contacting others about this. How can they claim to be friendly when they can discriminate against Scottish people and the currency.

After a long and very wet motorcycle ride. We were welcomed in a lovely friendly manner by a lovely lady on the reception and made to feel at home. Our room ( the 4 poster) was very comfortable and full of character ( note this is a very old traditional coaching Inn so understandable and expected that some things are not 21 st century which was lovely). Excellent Wi-Fi together with tea and coffee making facilities. The Inns bar was clearly popular with friendly locals and again comfortable and with friendly service. Unfortunately we did not get to use the restaurant on our first night ( Saturday) as we had already made plans and on Sunday night the restaurant is closed. I think we may have missed out because the breakfasts were first class. All in all from the owner down through all of his team the friendliness shone through.

I stayed at the greyhound coaching Inn last week as a business trip I was starting a new job and didn’t know the area very well. I picked it due to the charming photos of the garden online and it is just as nice in person! The inn has a relaxed atmosphere in the evening in the bar. I got to my room and it was full of character and very cozy all the facilities were clean and tidy and perfect for a short stay if you are travelling through. Breakfast was served in the morning and all the staff in the restaurant were attentive and there was good choice for vegetarians. I checked out and everything was fine until I found myself unable to book a taxi ( book in advance if you need one in rush hour) and no Ubers were in the area to take me in for my first day. I was panicking and upset but the staff at reception were amazing and helped to calm me down and solve my problem I was completely out of my depth in a new area and everyone at the coaching in went above and beyond to make me feel welcome! I cannot reccomend this place it’s staff and amazing owner enough, It’s great value for money with the breakfast included and always great to support an independent business! Thank you to the staff at the Carlton for making my first day a bit less stressful

Decided to go back to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary where we had stayed and had our wedding reception in 2013. Unfortunately, there was little to no customer service on arrival and leaving - didn't even say goodbye. There was no option to stay and eat in the restaurant or bar as there was no vegan dishes on the menu which was disappointing for us. Our beautiful four poster room was like being in a boiler room due to the noises from the building's heating, water and fan extractor systems. The duvet cover was ripped at the bottom. On the whole I could go on but the reality is it was disappointing and we expected better.

Booked two double rooms. Rate was £77 per room b&b;, reduced to £72 per room with booking.com discount. The building is nice with a nurtured courtyard. The rooms were standard traditional English fayre. One smelled of stale cooking fat. The rooms backed on to a public car park which was frequented by noisy people between 0100 & 0130. The bar is nice but rather too small and service was slow. The locals at the bar displayed a nice line in parochial bigotry. The ‘full English breakfast’ displayed the intrinsic meanness of traditional English hospitality: one sausage, one egg, one rasher of bacon (not well done as requested ) a measured tablespoon of baked beans and a few watery mushrooms. My request though to omit the grilled tomato was observed. All in all another example of bleakness

Family get together, 16 of us for early evening meal all choices pre-ordered everything was fine service was good and food was ok if a little average. Would I go back? Probably not, it’s just with quite a choice of places to eat even in a small market town that is Lutterworth you can do better, to be fair I would have been just as happy at the Elms or even picking up a takeaway from Neptune’s chippy. Is it me or do we expect a bit more when we go out to eat? Not saying it was bad or anything, the place was busy and they obviously have plenty of customers but I just think you need to try just that bit harder now to impress and give your customers a reason to want to come back and sadly I didn’t get that vibe here. As I said just average for me

We received a warm welcome and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The generous Sunday carvery was delicious and the good humoured chef, Will, was incredibly helpful and personable. We found this gem en route home to London. We highly recommend stopping in if you are travelling along the m1. Situated in a picturesque town, we will certainly be coming back.

Drop in by chance. Good choice of gin! I was surprised. Place was quite empty though. Beautiful gardens. Will return and try the food!

We stayed here mainly as it was closer than where we lived for our visit the next day to Armourgeddon for a tank driving experience.

Impromptu visit, no issues catering for gluten free diet, well presented chicken with asparagus and pineapple chilli salsa was lovely. Good service, friendly staff really enjoyed my first rhubarb and ginger gin! Daughter managed to finish a large slice of warm chocolate cake and cream

Visited on a Saturday night with friends. Food was spot on with great service. It was not busy and no background music so don’t expect a loud noisy atmosphere, great to chat and catch up with friends though.

Very disappointed to find that my “twice cooked chips” turned out to be processed frozen chips! They may well have & probably were twice cooked, but feel the description was misleading & expected better, it’s not a cheap “bar meal” I was also incredibly aghast at the chefs reaction when he unashamedly told me that he never said they were actual hand cut chips just that they were twice cooked. I don’t know about you but twice cooked processed chips might as well be cooked just the once. At least that way the overheads might be cheaper and the savings passed onto the customer.

I visited the mercado lounge for a catch up drink with a friend. Plenty of seating available, easy to order by the app and service was quick. Drinks quite overpriced for what we had but tasty nonetheless. Parking right outside - free in the evening.
