The best restaurants serving Brasserie food in Scotland

Fantastic meal, beautifully prepared and presented, ideal surroundings for a lovely evening, and the wine selection was excellent.

I had heard great things about this place. Unfortunately it did not deliver, staff not very attentive, could not pre order online (tried phoning and messaging to pre order) to no avail. Only got asked if we wanted a drink after 15minutes of being sat down (wasn't busy at this time either) food arrived I had the brisket meal (chips,A&H coleslaw & jalapeño crisies were very nice thank you, but the brisket not so much was very dry I put the bbq sauce and coleslaw on to make it palatable. Would not recommend!

Food is well presented and cooked to order. outdoor seating & tables with undercover areas when weather is inclement. A great takeaway experience from a street vendor style operation that uses local produce.

Super friendly staff Aliyah was so lovely and friendly and helpful with the menu choices. Food was delicious and would highly recommend.

Our family had a wonderful time at Smokin Skye BBQ. A terrific end to a full day tour of Isle of Skye, beautiful property, adventurous hikes, delicious food catering to unique dietary needs and warm, delightful hosts. Be mindful of accessibility and open to rugged landscape, but you wont be disappointed and might even encounter some four legged friends. Anita is a wonderful chef and even better hostess!

Where do I start? This used to be Jokers and had a bit of a reputation, since the new owners took over it seems to be a much nicer place to go. We initially just went in for dinner, and ended staying all night as they had a quiz night on (£2 per person) I had the steak pie and chips, and my wife had the fish and chips, the portion sizes were fantastic, the food was amazing, they gave us half price off one of the meals, which meant with a cider and a Guinness came to £24. The staff were really friendly and even though it’s a mile from home we’re looking forward to the next time.

We had a fairly ok Steak Frites meal here. Service was friendly and helpful. When I mentioned that I was not leaving a tip because the toilets were not good the colleague reported this to the manager who then told me that one soap dispenser was empty (both were empty) but made no comment when I showed him the picture of the toilet cubicle. No comment and no apology, like it was my fault. If I can’t wash my hands properly in the toilet, what are the staff doing for hand hygiene? Also, a cursory check of the toilets when a customer makes a comment is surely not good enough. I stand by my original comment. The toilet was filthy.

We’ve eaten up and down the country and here was one of the best meals we’ve ever had (Sunday roast), the cut of beef was delicious, potatoes and veg cooked perfect and the service was phenomenal. They even made mint sauce from scratch when they’d run out and we’d never expect that from anywhere (and it did taste good) Definitely recommend and will come back whenever were in Glasgow!

My first time having Korean BBQ, the FOH staff were so friendly and inviting, the food was fantastic! I couldn't stop eating way after when I was full. The drinks were delicious. Nothing was empty for more than a minute before they offered replacements. Really affordable for how much food you get. Would definitely go back

Normally have a very good meal here. Chicken liver parfait, Halibut and side of boiled potatoes. Biscuits and cheese to finish. All tasted fine and well presented. However later that night very bad gastric upset. Alright I should have reported it on checking out but at 0410 I had other things on my mind such as getting to Edinburgh Airport to catch a flight at 0720

We had an excellent evening at Brambles. The food was delicious, served promptly and all the staff we met were helpful, polite and very pleasant. We've been a few times over a long number of years holidaying on Arran and are happy to recommend this restaurant as one of the best on the entire island.

We had the most amazing evening here at Pera. Orkun was so lovely and cooks the most delicious food. I would definitely recommend for couples and friends !!

Wonderful meal in great surroundings. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
