The best restaurants serving Asian food in Highlands and Islands

restaurant clode since 3 years, Any update from trip advisor ? We're travelling on NC500 and there a lot of restaurant close but still appear on trip advisor... for what ???

An excellent evening, superb food and pleasant attentive staff.

First time in the area and sunset was recommended.....so glad it was, absolutely delicious meal and good size portions. Will definitely return when in the area just order early.

Given some of the other reviews and average score I'm at a loss to explain my experience here. I found the general ambience of the restaurant rather underwhelming. I chose a starter of onion bhajis. I was considering returning them, but I was very hungry and for whatever reason didn't feel comfortable sending them back. All I can say is, they hadn't been made that day. Moving to the main, I opted for the lamb Rogan josh, rice and keema naan. The curry was more like pieces of lamb with a kind of slightly spicy gravy. The rice was fine and the naan itself was very good. The keema was like some kind of doner meat. I left most of this and ate the bread. I can only assume they were having a bad night as the restaurant had come recommended. I wouldn't go again.

We had a nice Indian meal here. We were the only two customers.

Early in the week so quieter, the front of house could do with a smile on his face. The first lot of poppadom's were soft obviously been lying. The second lot were better, the pickle tray was fine. The main meal was ok with the portion size being good. I would go back again to see if any improvements were made and try another dish.

Under New Management and name, ‘Spice Kitchen’ (is that a franchise ?) Really just getting on their feet but local FB reviews are great. Good location, space for family groups and prompt takeaway service. The food is of high quality and generous content, having spent ~ 7yr in India this is some of the best I’ve had, esp NE Scotland.

Excellent food and service. Great portions and value. We've visited twice now and will be returning again soon. Large choice on the menu with something for every lover of Indian food.

We went here on a Thursday early evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was good. Very well laid out and clean buffet area with mostly Chinese food which is what we were looking for. The standard was as good as any other buffet I’ve had. Great view of the Cairngorms from our table too.

I felt the speed of the delivery and the quality of the food was excellent I couldent have enjoyed that more while in a happy state! 10/10 for me

A new low. The order was incomplete and the meal was inedible. This has to be be the worst takeaway ever... Apart from the rice..
