Always amazing food from this restaurant. A great variety of choice for you fancy something a bit different. The chilli and garlic potatoes are out of this world cx

I used to live in Glossop, at a time when the Raj Gourmet brought something completely new to local curries. Every time I go back I hope it won't have lost its magic. All the curries here are completely different, so I can never decide and usually go for two very different dishes. Tonight I went for prawn pathia, chicken moglai, mushroom rice, and paratha. The pathia has lots of slivers of green chillis - eat them and it's deliciously vindaloo strength, leave them and it' a really good, rich sweet & sour curry. The moglai is smooth, indulgent, and nutty without the annoying sweetness of lots of similar curries. (The portions are still huge, so I'll be eating this tomorrow too). How they've managed to sustain the quality without increasing the prices, I don't know, but I love this place.

We were staying in higher Buxton. We saw the restaurant while walking and decided to go for a meal. We were shown to a table then the menu came. I couldn't decide but a member of staff recommended a dish to me so I chose that. We had the popperdoms with chutneys. The popperdoms were far larger than we are used to and very crispy, enjoyable. The mains came. Very good portions given the pilau rice was delicious and so was the naan. We really enjoyed our meal. We found the staff attentive and friendly. Would definitely return when in higher Buxton.

So bad its going in the bin. Beef noodles had the strangest taste i couldn't tell if they were off or it was some odd spice but awful. Green curry, the veg was soggy and all dyed the same strange colour, even the wafer thin processed chicken was that odd colour. Tamarind duck was so sweet and in the thickest jam like stuff my teeth are still hurting from one bite. Prawn toast was all chicken and over cooked, also 4 pieces for nearly £7! Love thai food but much better in buxton, so annoyed we gave this place a try as i now have to find something for my tea!!
