The lotus biscoff milkshake was absolutely ridiculous in the best way possible, nicest milkshake I’ve ever had. Very friendly staff too and wonderful atmosphere.

I’ve visited this cafe twice before and the food is good however…….. both time I’ve had to wait AGES for my food. 30 mins + for a simple sandwich and there has only been one other table taken in the cafe. There’s only one guy doing all the food and serving / cleaning tables. They really need another member of staff.

Jaffa is an excellent host. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are huge. Fortunately they give you the option to take home the leftovers. Ambience is lovely and the staff are very kind and friendly. Service is a little slow as food can take a while, however the wait is usually worth it.

Sat inside as it was so hot outside. Being Glaswegian I was on the verge of catching fire. The owner(?) was very welcoming, took the time to talk with us and, before I ordered, recommended the kofta which was just freshly made. Got the kofta wrap which was easily in the top 3 best wraps I've ever had. Wifey got the falafel which she loved too! Had my eye on the chicken shawarma so will 100% be back to try that. 2 wraps, 2 soft drinks and a seat for £17. If in the area, you HAVE to try it.

Well , I ordered 2 chicken kebab with rice for delivery so after one hour waiting for my food I was very disappointed as the chicken and the tomatoes were totally burned and dry which I found it insulting as I wouldn't give even that food to my dog . I'll never order again from sholeh .

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had in my life. The food here is PHENOMENAL👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Had the trio of dips (pistachio one was my favorite🥰), crispy potatoes with feta, lamb shawarma (to die for🤤) and the mixed grill for 4 which came with a variety of meats including koubdieh skewers, Jooejh chicken, spicy chicken tond, Chenjeh lamb fillet served with saffron rice, naan bread, pickles and sumac onions. All these for 5 people at the price of £115. Bravo to the chef! The service when making the reservation could be improved, but at the restaurant, the service is quite fast and attentive. Definitely recommend this place. Not to be missed!!!!

We stopped off here yesterday afternoon (Sunday) after a trip to the Festival theatre. The restaurant was quiet and we actually had the place to ourselves. I don't think that was a true reflection of how good this place was though. The decor is lovely. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely beautiful and there was plenty of it. We had a mixed grill (lamb and chicken) and the chicken kebab. Both dishes were melt in the mouth and a taste semsation. The dishes came served with bread, sauces, a small salad and light and fluffy rice. I certainly ate more than I probably should have, as it was that good! The main meals will set you back at least £20 a head as Edinburgh prices go but worth every penny on this occasion. We like trying new places so don't return to the same place often but we'll be keeping Beirut in mind for our next visit to the theatre. Definitely worth a visit for their outstanding food.
