Lotus milk cake was so delicious highly recommended 😍

Visited Treatz on the 14th October, on entrance, we asked if we could sit at a booth as 2/3 were empty, were told no as they were reserved, (no one came in to sit on them the entire time we were at the shop). We were then seater on some benches right by the door, very uncomfortable and cold. We then ordered three desserts, one of which didn’t arrive, it was only when we asked where the third dessert was that we were then told it had been put in the fridge for take away for some reason? It was the. Brought out to us, after the other two desserts had been eaten. We then went to pay our bill at the till so we could leave, the woman at the till told us our final bill, which didn’t sound right, it was then we realised a service fee had been added, I asked to have this removed as the service was not great at all, but was then told that this was not a service fee but was sit in fee? Never in my life have I been charged for sitting at a restaurant, why would a restaurant charge customers for sitting in their place of business? The fee was never once communicated to us, and we were not even told about it when going to pay, we only realised as when we added the cost of what we ordered it didn’t total the final bill and were only then told about it when queries. The cost of this was not an issue, it just felt like a shady business transaction and a cash grab from customers, had we been told about this beforehand it may have been a little different. The prices feel high enough as it is (around £10 for a cookie dough, to then add a forced “sit in” charge feels a bit ridiculous Quite disappointing as have visited this place before and the service was fine, we were actually allowed to sit in one of the notoriously reserved booths, but this time the service was not great at all. The only positive would be the younger gentleman who was helpful with choices from the menu. The staff need to really up the service game here and treat their customers a bit nicer.

Was in here few weeks ago and thought the service was really poor. Seemed very arrogant. Also witnessed them being moody with delivery drivers for no reason. Not a good look at all. Won't be going back and would advise others to go elsewhere.

Atmosphere I can't judge I've never been in, I have ordered food there a few times. It's very basic and their toasties are basically what I expected and enjoyed them. I decided to order highlander burgers which on just eat said it was "famous", I was sorely disappointed by what was presented, the cheese stuck all around the bottom half of the burger to the point I had to rip it off the box and not only that but the burger tasted like rustlers just microwaved to the point of cardboard texture and the haggis was extremely dry and i assume was a microwaved cheap breakfast haggis. I had to spit out my food and it is too late to get food from other places by walking distance. I understand that £5 is cheap but to call it famous and deliver it in such shoddy taste is just wrong. Will not be ordering here again even though the toastie options were alright, but because of this review with my name all over the place I don't particularly trust I'll be received well in future.

Ordered the cookie dough and was really good. Staff are really friendly and chatty. I am not from Edinburgh so this is always a nice treat when I come and visit.

Hai, I think almost good reviews for this shop is paid because the service provide by staff is really bad specifically the male staff .The quality of the food also very bad compared to other shops in Edinburgh.Moreover one delivery driver said that he had seen many dirty things here you are not changing the waffle even body hair falls on it

Every Friday, my daughter and I visit Treatz, it has become a cherished tradition for us. The owners are kind and always make us feel welcome. My daughter is only five years old, and this cafe is the perfect place to indulge in delicious desserts that are not too sweet. It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy quality time together and create lasting family memories. Highly recommended!

Fantastic place to have a dessert and coffee. The dessert selection is wonderful and the size will leave you satisfied. The atmosphere is beautiful and trendy. The service is welcoming and effective. This is a great place to stop by and relax while visiting beautiful Edinburg.

This place is amazing! My family and I are from the US and saw the decor from outside, and decided to try it. The desserts were so good, as well as everything else. The owners and workers were super welcoming. We ended up liking it so much, we visited 3 different times. 100% recommend.

We visited Treatz Edinburgh yesterday and had an absolutely delightful experience. Even though we arrived just 15 minutes before their closing time due to traveling from a different place, the staff were incredibly welcoming and happy to serve us. We ordered a variety of desserts, and every single one was super delicious. The quality and presentation of the desserts were top-notch, and we were thoroughly impressed. The service was excellent and efficient, making our visit all the more pleasant. We were so pleased with the experience that we will surely visit Treatz again. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Waffle was half uncooked, And customer service was really bad and ignorant.

People in the shop were nice but at £5.50 for 2 scoops of ice cream I expect significantly better quality ice cream, really quite synthetic in flavour. Also, just a bug bear of mine. Provide the scoops in a bigger tub and present them side by side. I got mine on top of each other in a teeny tiny tub, nearly lost the top one walking down the street and the other flavour gets compromised by the top one melting.

I ordered via Uber Eats and the portion sizes were ridiculously small considering the price. Really disappointed. The ice cream was the same size as a match box and the cookie dough was no bigger than my hand and very thin

My name is Layaq, and I recently visited Treatz Edinburgh. It's an exceptionally beautiful restaurant that I have never experienced before in my life. The food was incredibly delicious, and I would rate the dessert a perfect 10 out of 10. Additionally, the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I was abit iffy if I should come here or not but I have no regrets the desert was great and tasted delicious. I ordered a gelato my self and had to order my self a biscoff cheesecake after trying my friends one 😭 There was one worker I believe his name was mati he had such a great energy and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Not only that but he also brought my food really fast. Highly recommend. I hope you're able to share this review with him hopefully.

Tried this several times now as it's just round from my house but been disappointed,waffles very doughy and tasted horrible,cookie dough greasy and undercooked,milkshakes not great and it's very over priced for what you get.

I am both a driver and frequent customer of this shop. I love the atmosphere and vibe inside the shop who is run by super-friendly and positive family. Ice-Cream and Karak Chai are just out of this world 😋

Their interiors are really pretty. Pretty similar to treatz in London and Reading however they come to your table to take the order while in London we need to place the order at the counter. The size of the waffle was smaller here comparatively even though we ordered a large size. Quality had no difference.

Took our nieces here while on a day out in Edinburgh. A slightly tacky feel about the place - that they loved with all the pink and gold. Good menu selection though not very high quality.

Took a group of 9 girls to Treatz Lothian Road to celebrate my daughter’s 14th birthday. The staff were very accommodating and made it a special evening for my daughter and her friends. Highly recommended and we will be back!

I didn’t kid that it was late as it is a Friday night but the person on the phone was very rude and when I called to confirm my order she said that it’s already been prepared before she even asked what I ordered then when I asked what that order was and told her that wasn’t mines she wasn’t bejng cooperative and soon hung up whilst I was still speaking

Beautiful interior! The food was immaculate no complaints, would definitely go again. The service was also great, everyone we encountered was polite, respectful and very smiley. Overall a fab experience.

I am going out of my way to leave a 5 star review because I had such a good experience and meal. I let the staff know that I had a peanut allergy and they took the time to clean every single surface they could find in the kitchen that could be contaminated by peanuts. Then my meal was absolutely outstanding, and the atmosphere in the shop is clean and pleasant.

I paid for my daughter and 8 of her friends to go a few days after her 13th birthday, I had booked it so informed the venue that it was a birthday treat. The girls really enjoyed themselves and the desserts. The staff also gave My daughter a free brownie with a candle and a lovely drizzled 13 and they sang Happy Birthday, which was a lovely sentiment.

Was looking for a place to take my family of 9 and 2 friends for my sons 14th birthday party. We decided after a long 4 weeks of looking for places and trying them out on Treatz ! Service was 5 star and they made my son feel really special that day He was even rewarded with an extra ice cream when we left the door ! Very affordable in price and very nice and clean inside especially the toilets where most places aren’t as hi-gene weary. Thanks again to the team at treatz we are already planning are visit

Delightful little ice cream and desserts place. A wee gem in Edinburgh. If your staying in around Haymarket and you like sweet treats give it a go you won't regret it. Has the feel of a small family run place. Staff super nice.

Really good, the menu is enormous and we recommend the banana split and the peanut butter stack cake. The peach iced tea is lovely and refreshing ☺️

Visited for my daughter’s birthday and had booked the private area at the back. Decor was beautiful and the desserts were absolutely delicious. The staff were very attentive and desserts were served on a timely manner despite this being a large order. Shows how well the team work together. Would definetly visit again and highly recommend.

Attaching pictures for the management to see that this group or our family and friends are never visiting this place. We had booked a table for 27th jan. The girl who attended us came to tell us that the table time is up in 10 min. Which was fine. But then she took my order which she could have denied if I wasn't going to be allowed to finish my drink ( how to gulp this milkshake in 2 min ). There were 4 people waiting for the table and the seating was for 8 . She could have offered to sit on the side or somewhere to be seated and finish my drink. But we were soo offended the way she asked up to get up and leave.And the guy on the till as well addressed this way rudely and just transferred the shake in a small glass ( only half of it). We were at CORO for our last meet-up and such a humble place. We went to wagamama from here after the experience and literally had good time. Never coming back here. Nothing you can't get anywhere else. The way you get treated means a lot. So much arrogance.. To update on the response: You have cameras in place. There was no menu. Please re visit the whole narrative. I have mentioned the response that could have been. Never denied the fact that the table time was up! No one was rude from our end. We even clarified the duplicate bill with a laugh to lighten up the situation.There were 4 other people to witness this in an un biased way unlike what you are responding here. Please re check the facts.

Visited the place over the weekend with a few friends and I’m sorry to say, the service is unbelievably poor. I understand the policy of reservation for 1hr 45 minutes but you can’t outrightly be rude to customers and discrimate if there’s not a hefty bill made per table as per your expectations. Looking through the number of negative reviews it is quite clear that there is fundamental gap in what you understand being polite is (Assertiveness in a feeble voice isn’t) ! And your responses to customer comments are baffling. I’m surprised how this place is operational in a prime location and missing basic etiquette of hospitality and treating customers right. We had booked a table for 8 and 2 couldn’t make it last minute. We were definitely not treated politely and were asked multiple times to leave without any consideration to one of us finishing a drink. Not coming back here again and will not recommend to anyone.

The variety of desserts and puddings here are top notch, I'm looking forward to working my way through the menu!! everything about this place is just lovely, Mrs Mohammed is an awesome host who chats away and always makes us feel very welcome. The interior is quite art-decor'ish, plush and very comfortable. We have started coming here after dining around town as the food really is over and above any dessert menus we have come across, a real 'Treat' right enough.

My daughter Was so excited to come here for her 13th birthday. They got a table and booked in a reservation for 1:30pm. They got a reply back saying “would be glad to have you, make sure to get you a great table” We eventually got there and it was closed. On their website it says it opened at 12:00. Very disappointing will try to come back again.

I ordered online and got my dessert delivered. We ordered two chocolate crepes and both were raw and inedible. When I called voicing my opinion, the person I spoke to was so rude to me and did not offer a solution instead he spoke back and hung up

BIG portions, the ice cream cold cold and the waffle and doughnuts were still warm. yummy and sweet and everything you could need. Very happy with the order!!!

This place has absolutely been my fave so far!! I’m here every other day due to my craving for they’re hot chocolate!! Customer service has always been on point, and are always willing to strive for the best. The desserts overall have been great and truly have always felt satisfied. Asif and his wife run an amazing shop with a menu full of treats! By far the best desert, treat shop I have been to, and an absolute treasure of Edinburgh. Great value and worth stopping to enjoy.

The worst dessert shop in Edinburgh, very rude owner and staff ,very low quality and expensive, i don't recommend to anyone

This place was extremely awkward- nothing seemed to make sense. Portion sizes were big but sauces and toppings were very little. And the desserts just had a strange taste about them- not sure what it was but something just seemed odd about the recipe. Staff were unhappy and seemed confused when you asked anything about the menu. Overall this place was just a disappointment. Will not be back and do not recommend.

I’ve been here for spiced chai, sundaes, cookie dough and crêpes - all of it fantastic! Toppings galore, incredibly friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere with fun decor. Highly recommend as a treat to yourself, with family or friends

Response to Treatz owner regarding previous review from wife who had to “drag” her husband out of your shop the other evening. Thank you for your reply and time it took you to write this piece of fiction. I would like to tell the true account of what happened. Firstly, my husband did not raise his voice at your staff member when asked to move seats. He merely questioned why we were asked to move and made it clear he was unhappy to move for the reasons given, but did not shout at staff member. As a non-confrontational person, I told him to just move seats so my son could have his dessert and we leave your establishment asap. Secondly, booths were not reserved as we were initially seated there when we didn’t yet know what we wanted to order, so your response makes no sense. There were no reserved signs, and your server, or anyone else, did not at any point say any booths were reserved (only people making larger orders could sit there). On way out, my husband did not verbally attack your staff member. In fact, he said (not shouting) to you: “you really need to look after your customers and not make them feel bad. You could have let us sit there; booths were empty during whole of the time we were here; it's not as if there are customers queuing up outside”. At which point you started having a discussion so I waited outside with my son. I could see you getting angrier and repeatedly pointing your finger in my husband’s face. After some time, I got tired of waiting in cold, by which time your female colleague was also involved. It seems you have a selective memory. You said I had to “drag” my husband out, but failed to mention that I and your female colleague were trying to diffuse situation, which you kept inflaming by making personal insults as we tried to leave shop, making situation worse and prolonging it. You make no mention that I called you (not shouting) an “unprofessional businessman” on three occasions because of your childish behaviour, that I referred to your booth seating policy as “ridiculous” (can see why makes sense during peak hours but on Sunday evening when booths all empty?). I also told you my husband was not drunk several times, and your colleague repeatedly asked you, including when we were trying to leave restaurant, to “stop it”, stop making insulting comments, including falsely accusing my husband of being very drunk, causing a nuisance (you were causing nuisance by being so pig-headed you couldn't accept simple customer feedback), and he was setting a bad example to my son. What example were YOU setting to my son? You seem to have a problem with people who drink alcohol. The vast majority drink in a responsible and enjoyable way. We work hard and unwind at the end of the week by enjoying good food and having a few drinks, with no need to justify this to the likes of you. My husband was with his family, not lolling around drunk or being aggressive. He had one drink with his meal; he was not very drunk or even drunk for that matter. He merely gave you customer feedback, and this is how you respond, in such a childish, churlish, aggressive manner. Who are you to be so judgmental of others who drink alcohol? It is clear that you have no place in the customer service industry and I suggest you either get some customer service training (take tips from your female colleague who was very polite and professional) or take a back office, non-customer-facing, position. The point at which I had to “drag” my husband out was when you threatened to call the police, which I wanted to avoid at all costs because my son was with us. I also suggest that if you have such Draconian views on people who drink you install a breathalyser at shop front and set level to zero. So it was you that ruined our evening; it is you that should grow up, stop being so judgmental, learn how to conduct yourself in your business and accept customer feedback (you allowed a relatively small matter that could have been resolved with a professional, one-sentence response to snowball), and above all else how to treat your customers.

DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR BY STAFF! IN PARTICULAR THE OLDER ASIAN MAN BEHIND THE COUNTER. BE WARNED THIS MAN HAS A REAL ATTITUDE PROBLEM AND SHOULD NOT BE WORKING IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY! QUESTIONABLE SEATING POLICY - YOU WILL BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST IF YOU PLACE A SMALL ORDER. After having an evening meal nearby with my family, I entered the restaurant with my wife and 10 year old. It was very quiet with hardly anyone in the restaurant . We went to a booth in front of the counter as there were three of us. My wife sat down while my son and I went over to the counter to place an order. We were then asked to move (not by the man above, but by his younger colleague who was perfectly polite) from the booth, to the back of the restaurant. I questioned why, and we were told that the booths were intended for larger parties. The booths seat four comfortably, perhaps six if you had small children with you. I was surprised and advised the younger helper that the restaurant was empty and did we really have to move. I was told that it could get busy at any moment which seemed ludicrous as it was well after 21.00 on a Sunday and there was hardly anyone about. At this point I wanted to leave, but my son still wanted an ice cream, and my wife said to keep the peace let's just move. We were ushered to the back which we found very strange, more so annoying given it was so quiet. We really didn't want to spend any more time in there than we had to, so it had put us off, my wife and I no longer wanted to order anything. My son ordered and had his ice cream. When finished on the way out, the older Asian man was positioned between us and the exit, with his arms folded. The booths were still empty, and I questioned the seating policy stating that they should look after their customers, and not make them feel bad. It was hardly as if people were queuing outside the door, and we could have been seated there. At this point this man became rather dismissive, bordering on aggressive. He commented you've only ordered an ice cream and expect to sit in a booth. I told him that had it not been for the ridiculous way we were treated we would have been inclined to order much more, but given our treatment, I wouldn't want to order anything from here again, nor would we wish to return. The discussion went on for a while and he proceeded to belittle us for the amount we had ordered, and yet we expected a booth. He then went on to say I had should leave. He mentioned I smelled of alcohol and was drunk. This was absolutely not the case. Yes I did have a drink earlier, ONE glass of wine, with a meal, and I was with my family. This does not amount to being drunk. I believe this man had an issue with people who drink. This then progressed into a you are drunk, no I'm not, I'm going to call the police, call them then exchange and before things escalated further, my wife said this was a waste of time and that we should just go. Before we left, I let the man know that he was out of order, and that they should learn how to treat their customers. He should also understand social media and that customers do have a voice. The older Asian man flicked his arm dismissively, and walked off. I'm not one usually to complain, so slept on it and still felt quite strongly about it and am therefore writing this review the following morning. The whole experience ruined our evening, so for us never again!

Lovely place with fantastic staff

Went to Treatz today for the first time. Was pleasantly surprised by the interior. Clearly, a lot of effort has been made to give it a high-end look and finish. Unlike other dessert places in Edinburgh, which are a bit less polished, this would be a nice place for a date as it looks great and has a nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. All the items on the menu looked amazing. I'm kind of gutted, I played it safe with a cheesecake, but it was still really good. The Sundae that we got was great as well. The only reason I have given it 4 stars is that for a small bit of cheesecake and a Sundae, it was just over £17 which I thought was quite expensive. Despite that I will definitely be back to sample more of the menu!

We have toured all over Europe and tried ice cream and gelato at every stop. Treatz has the best gelato that we have come across. The flavors are soft but full and the sorbets are on top. You want gelato, then this is the must go to place!!

I always look at reviews before visiting a new place These reviews do not seem to be sincere, or at least I don't understand how they can be. I just scrolled through the worst ones and this is a lesson to always look at the lowest reviews before visiting a place. I'm not saying the complaints are genuine (even though most of them do seem to overlap and speak about the same issues), but it is the owner's responses that are are frightening and basically tell you to stay far away from this place The responses from Treatz are rude and they don't take any of the genuine criticism to heart. They attack the customers that have left these reviews and even accused a girl of harrassment for stating an opinion about poor service. My experience was similar to a lot of comments: rude waitstaff, arguing about bills and being ignored. You can't tell who works here and who doesn't as some people are serving in sweats Save your money, go somewhere else. This place is not worth your energy

Priced very high tbh Mocktail was 80% ice and 20% drink. Felt like the drink was too watery. Wont reccomend mocktails. Doughnuts decent taste, fresh and good value for money Sushi was average tbh

Choc chip cookie dough is so good!

Beautiful place with soo many dessert options. We tried their Brownie Dream and it was amazing. The prices is reasonable and the staff was very welcoming. Best spot in Edinburgh for having desserts.
