Experience is very good and the prices are decent as well.

First table was sticky and needed a proper clean so we moved to another. We ordered chicken pakora and samosa. The pakora was very dry and stringy from being overcooked but the samosas were plentiful and tasty. Chicken Tikka and Coriander Mango Chicken tikka were the mains which came with sauce and rice. We got a nan bread too which was nicely done not burnt at all. Part way though asked for water and 15m later it still hasn't arrived and had to ask again. I expected a jug of water with glasses the same as the table next to us but got 2 x pint glasses of water instead. With tables close together every time a waiter went to the table next to us they stood between so I had to see the waiters backside within elbow distance while eating my meal. We were finished our meal and drinks and still waited ages before having to ask for the bill. Overall the food is mostly ok but service could be quicker and neater generally. Indian guests at the next table who arrived after us seemed to get very quick service and were done and gone before we were on our mains.

The restaurant is near the city centre and was walkable from Glasgow station. The food served was top notch in taste. I ordered mixed platter - awesome chicken and veg chat. I was amazed with the taste of the food, specially the chatni. One of the best Indian food , I had outside India.

I ate here pre theatre table for 4 and we had a three course meal with drinks. Everyone ordered different dishes and we had to taste everyone’s dish because the food was fantastic. Honestly, one was better than the next. The staff are fantastic.

Hi All, I went to Masala Twist and ordered "Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani", but to my surprise, I was presented with a normal biryani. Since I am an immigrant from India, I had the glorious opportunity to taste most Indian food from different states in India. I have tasted Hyderabadi Dum Biryani which is considered one of the best biryani varieties in India, but yours (Masala Twist) is a scam. I have already mentioned to the staff that this is a normal biryani and it is nowhere near the famous Hyderabad Dum Biryani. We, as customers expect it to be somewhere near to the original Indian recipes. The food costs nearly £15 and you are not able to provide an Indian dish that is somewhere near the original recipe. You might be able to fool the Scottish locals but not Indians who take pride in their country and food culture. Your dish is a tarnish to the famous "Hyderabadi Dum Biryani" recipe. At least put all the ingredients in the so-called "Hyderabadi Dum Biryani" and customize the level of spiciness according to the customers' preferences. Please show some integrity and justice to your customers. My next comments are based on the atmosphere. The seats have lost their sponge and it's flat as a rock bed or coir mat. If you want to enjoy your half-assed food with lots of back pain then this is your best restaurant in Glasgow. Please update your furnishings in the restaurant. Let me remind the owner and staff members of Masala Twist restaurant to prepare the toilets and surroundings in a presentable manner during each peak time. Please focus on the quality and quantity of the food that is being ordered. It should fill minds, souls and every stomach coming in the restaurant. If you’re Asian and grew up eating Asian food, AVOID THIS PLACE, foods tasteless no flavour at all, made for Scottish people so they’ve toned everything down like usual with places in city centre . They told me they weren’t goin to charge me for starters then tried to charge me at the end. Bland tasteless food. The staff were nice , only good thing

Went to Masala Twist Glasgow and had a good meal. Started with samosa chaat and chilli chicken—both were banging, just simple and tasty. Then I had chicken tikka masala with naan, and it was spot on, proper hearty with nice soft naan. Got a lassi too, which was dead refreshing after the spices. The food was class, and the place felt laid-back and cozy, not over the top. They’ve got loads of Indian options, so it’s a decent pick if you’re around Glasgow and fancy something good to eat!

As a regular guest here, I love the vibe and ambience of the place. In terms of food, I highly recommend their chilli cheese naan and Chettinad chicken which is my signature order whenever I visit here. In terms of suggestions, I would suggest them to start serving complementary salad on the side along with the main course. Anyone who orders a main course like a gravy with naan/ tandoori starters would ideally expect to see complementary salad on the side. But here’s the biggest flaw: an Indian restaurant without a complimentary 5p salad? That’s like a shawarma without garlic sauce—unthinkable! Those simple onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes are a must, and skipping them feels off. Research shows cheap freebies like this can bump customer spending by 20% or more (that’s an extra £20 per visit!), yet there’s nothing complimentary here—not even a basic salad. Add that tiny touch which is a must in Indian restaurants having an edge over competitors by literally doing nothing, and this spot would be flawless.

Really gorgeous food, I had the spicy Lamb one pot curry, vada pav and mushroom rice. All were totally delicious. Service was excellent and it had a really nice atmosphere on a Saturday night. I’ll be back!

Well, I ordered a vegetable biryani and asked to it be spicy but was sweet with carrots and beans in it. I asked the waitress if I can get some salt and she said yes but disappeared. Not a good customer service, neither I found the food exciting. I am really sorry, don't like putting bad reviews but careless customer service was annoying

This is a good budget friendly restaurant serving authentic north Indian food. The service is good and good quality and taste is also better compared to some of the other Indian food serving restaurants. This place also have a banquet hall for small scale parties. We had our Christmas party with a headcount of around 40 people. It was fun. I have been here for dinner with friends as well. This restaurant also have Indian street food options.

Brilliant authentic food, great selection of dishes. A lot of dishes and street food dishes you dont find so much in other restaurants. Great experience and will definately be back in the future. Had the lamb biriyani, chole Bhatura, pani puri and a few other dishes in our group

Paani Puri and Samosa chaat (picture attached) are my favourite dishes from Masala Twist and also in general in the world. By far, the only Indian Restaurant in Glasgow which serves authentic Indian food with authentic flavours. I have tried all the vegetarian dishes they serve and have felt just as I were in India enjoying these dishes! The staff has unparalleled hospitality. They’re happy to customise the dishes on demand however I would recommend trying as they make it and that’s good already! Love the food they serve here! update: Must try Daal and Jeera Rice here! Had is after a break here and it reminds you of Daal you really miss from India!

After an exhausting day we had delicious food at the Masala twist. We had the chicken tikka and fish tikka for starters and they both were awesome! Chettinad chicken and naans were delicious and had proper spice and not 'whitewashed' .. thank you Raman for accommodating us and our massive luggage..

Absolutely superb in terms of quality, value for money and service. I chose it because I needed something centraI in Glasgow and the reviews looked positive. Friendly, professional welcome at the door. I had the lunchtime menu which for a little over 10 pounds was very good value. Actually I got an extra Garlic coriander naan off the menu because they looked great. Plus a big pot of jasmine tea. They kindly made the chicken chaat starter a little spicier for me (small but just fine for a lunchtime deal), and then for the mains I had the South Indian Garlic spicy curry, which I would never usually choose, but I was really happy with it. Great flavours, and highly unusual to get that quality. I would certainly recommend that particular dish. It's refreshing to find somewhere that does real sauces. And the service was very friendly and professional, without being intrusive. Excellent! (Just leaving this image because I never take photos). This is the best Indian meal I've had in Glasgow in several years.

Quality venue and great service from the staff especially ‘T’ Chicken 🐔 tikka starter was great. I went for a spicy 🥵lamb 🐑 dish rated 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ on the menu. Didn’t disappoint either, I’d say similar heat level to vindaloo 🥔 very tasty 😋 I must confess I needed the help of a raita to ensure I polished it off and sent a clean bowl 🍚 back to the kitchen. Well worth a visit, they also do sensible curries for normal people 😂

I cannot fault either the service or the restaurant’s décor, which is warm, comfortable, and infused with the charm of an Indian street stall. The street food was good, but I found the curry dish I ordered to be too sweet and sour for my taste. Additionally, the egg rice was disappointing—essentially turmeric-boiled rice with large chunks of egg white. That said, I would happily return, as I believe I may have simply chosen dishes that didn’t suit my palate. The staff were so considerate of my feedback that they adjusted my bill, which was a kind and thoughtful gesture, though it left me feeling slightly guilty, as that wasn’t my intent. Thank you for prioritising customer care—it truly sets you apart.

Not the best Indian restaurant experience. Low portion, not good quality, not very clean tables and plates. Maybe that's why it was so quiet even on Friday night.

It tasted amazing. The gulab jamun could have had more syrup but tasted amazing anyway. I am upset that although I paid for two mango lassis (one size) they came in one of them had less due to being in a smaller bottle.

Popped in for lunch with a friend last week. I ordered garlic chilli chicken. TBH I couldn't eat it as it just tasted like it was full of fennel. I asked the waiter for another dish which was no better. I go to the sister restaurant in East Kilbride which I have always enjoyed so I was very disappointed in this offering. On top of that they still charged me even though I didn't eat it.

Was hyped by many Indians and it looked average at its best. Visited today with my friend as this was first time for both of us there. I recommended going there but it's abysmal the time we have to wait for every dish to be served. Chilli chicken was very average and Chole bhature was okayish.Bacardi was the only thing to mention as a positive. £54 for two people today promising each other that we are never coming back here.

We had the lunch deal, which is very favorable price-wise. But above all, it was all very tasty!
