The best restaurants serving American food in Scotland

I have now stayed at the Dakota for over 7 years now and have loved every single time. The service is great. The one thing I love is the cocktails made at the bar. One that I really enjoy is a coconut daiquiri. Everywhere else I have been they have never been able to make one as good as here at the Dakota. Tonight I asked Rachel to make me one and it was amazing. The service given by Rachel, Ross and Dan was fantastic and I wouldn’t think twice about coming back. Thank you so much xx

I’m originally from Musselburgh and am often back to visit relatives but we don’t often go into the main part of town. We ate here on Saturday night as two couples as my brother in law has raved about how great this place is. I was a bit sceptical as Musselburgh wouldn’t be a natural home for an Argentinian Steak House. I have to say it was fantastic. The feature is the quality of meat and that made all the dishes brilliant. We had the sharing platter - loved it. The meat was cooked exactly as asked for at medium rare and the meat was beautifully tender. The beef taco starter was brilliant and all the other steaks looked amazing. As designated driver I can’t comment on the cocktails but the others seemed to enjoy several and rounded off the meal with liqueur coffees. The quality of food is exceptional and can see why it was always busy - we had booked 3 weeks in advance and got 5.45 as all later tables were booked and they were also full when we arrived. We paid about £250 for 4 - starters , main meals, several cocktails a couple of desserts and coffees - well worth it and I would suggest that having eaten in Edinburgh at Hawksmoor, the quality of food here is in a par for a lot of better price. Wow.

A great spot for Singaporean and HK inspired treats! We arrived ten minutes before the place opened on a Sunday, and, I’m glad we did, as the place filled up very quickly. The interior is small, but has a really nice vibe! As someone constantly missing the Hong Kong teatime culture, I was very excited to see some of my favourite cafe classics on the menu, including HK toast, kaya toast, and teas and coffees with condensed milk. We ordered the roti canai, kaya toast and HK toast to share, and a cup of teh tarik, a Singapore signature hand pulled tea, each. Everything was delicious and satisfied my craving for nostalgia (and good food!). I was a bit confused that the crusts were cut off the HK toast, as this is unusual at least in Hong Kong, but my sister pointed out that bread in the UK is much tougher, so this was probably a very good shout! Didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but we didn’t really need to as they were very efficient and we had no complaints about the food. I’d love to come back during a future visit to Edinburgh to try their coffee and larger main dishes.

The best steakhouse in Glasgow and it lives up to that title. The food and service is amazing here. My boyfriend and I both had sirloin steaks which were incredible with the chips and peppercorn sauce. We also ordered a side of the baked mac and cheese to share which was also unbelievable. The portion sizes are very good and very filling - we definitely could've managed without the Macaroni. The prices are more expensive than what we're used to but it is fully worth it for the service and food quality that you are receiving. If you are ever in Glasgow you can't miss out on this place! We will definitely be back.

Phenomal food, burgers are top teir, great selection of salads and sauce. Service was great as well very polite and welcoming, Lynne even gave me free haggis on the burger which was unreal. Will be there every time I pass the retail park

Wow. Wow. Wow! If you have not visited it’s a must! I had the jerk chicken- it was so juicy and full of flavour and the pickled cabbage on the side was *chefs kiss* Also recommend Elliot’s home made rum punch! It is very punchy and so delicious! Both Elliott and his mum made us feel so welcome! Shame I don’t live closer to come here more often 💔💔

As soon as you walk in you are made to feel so welcome by Mark and his staff. The food was outstanding. Everything was so fresh and lots of local produce used. Mark is very enthusiastic about his food and genuinely cares that you enjoy your meal. Lots of vegan options. Will definitely be be back.

Had the turban tandoori, and honestly with the chilli sauce it’s probably the most flavoursome panini I have ever had. Top quality food, impeccable taste, unbelievable good service all in one. Can’t wait for my next trip to Baget stuffed

First visit to this hidden gem, was recommended by our sone and we were out disappointed, warm welcome and the food was fresh cooked, delish

The best place in the West of Scotland. Staff so helpful and well mannered. Donuts are amazing. Baked potato and cheese is lovey too.

We come here every time we are home in Glasgow. It's a straight road on the motorway and never been let down. The only place in Scotland where we can get "Dubai standard" food. The menu is not only unique but tasty and enjoyable.
