Soooo good!!! Such an unexpected find. And lovely people too. Will be back. Not a lot of seats so be prepared to wait, but worth it!

One word - WOW! I hat a fantastic restaurant this is. The service, ambience, decor and most of all the food - incredible. You order at the counter, menu is on the blackboard and take your seat. Food is served quickly with a smile. We had the rib, jerk chicken and wings with sides of Mac and cheese and rice and peas. All so tasty. I have just returned from Jamaica and the jerk chicken was even better here than there! We shared our plates and even shared the desserts. Coconut pie and rum and ginger sticky toffee pud. Yum. What a gem this is for Gairloch and the surrounding areas. We will be back 🤩

A really friendly and fun atmosphere backed up by some serious talent in the kitchen! An absolute must stop when travelling the nc500!

What a fantastic restaurant. Food was excellent - best Jamaican jerk chicken I’ve eaten. Rum and ginger sticky toffee pudding also first class, nice and heavy on the rum.

Absolutely brilliant dinner for the 4 of us last night. We had to wait a few minutes for a table which was perfect as it gave us time to order drinks and chat to the staff. We ordered Jerk Chicken, BBQ pork ribs, Chickpea curry and Chicken wings, all served with rice and peas and slaw and then added a Mac and Cheese on the side! So glad we love sharing food as a family as everything was truly delicious, my BBQ pork ribs were as good as described by our delightful server and everything was so tasty and fresh. Our daughter had the Rum Punch to drink (best ever according to her) and my husband and son had beers, one Jamaican and one local both very good. We completed the meal by ordering Rum and Ginger Sticky Toffee pudding (excellent) and Coconut pie (amazing!). Really great meal, ambience, friendly staff and great vibe. Returned back to our cottage feeling very happy and wishing there was a Black Pearl Creole Kitchen in Aberdeenshire! Will be back next time we've back in Gairloch Thank you for a brilliant evening x

Just wow! Absolutely delicious meal in this charming restaurant. Wonderful jerk chicken followed by melt in the mouth coconut pie. Also delicious (and quite heady) rum punch. Super friendly welcome and super quick service. This place is only open Weds to Saturday and it was busy. You can't book, but you must go!

Awesome food and people - everything is excellent (I think we managed to make our way through the whole menu this holiday 😂). The team are so friendly and the food is outstanding. A real gem and great to see it so popular with locals and visitors alike! We hope to return again soon!

What a fabulous place to eat delicious food served by lovely people. We knew we were in for a treat when we heard the cheerful music playing. We had the most tasty vegan chickpea curry, rice and peas and a cauliflower rice salad accompanied by a true Jamaican rum punch. Don’t forget to leave room for puddings too. Eating here was a highlight on our Scottish 500 road trip.

What an amazing place! We absolutely loved it here and wish we’d gone sooner so that we could go back again and again but sadly we only discovered it at the end of our holiday. I had the creole bbq pork rib and it melted in my mouth. The kids loved the creole Mac n Cheese. Great atmosphere with cheerful staff and great service at a reasonable price. A rare find! A very different, unexpected find in this little town. Very atmospheric small restaurant with their own twist on things. Food was very tasty and the desserts were to die for❤️The staff was very charismatic and polite.woukd recommend trying this place😊

This restaurant was amazing!! I have been to several islands in the Caribbean so I was quite keen to visit. The food was fantastic, as was the rum punch! The staff explained that this is a family owned restaurant and they are of Caribbean descent. So everything was authentic but not too spicy for local palate. My only hope is that they open another place in Edinburgh!!

Unbelievable / amazing / authentic / tasty / the real deal in Gairloch!!!! We got married in Jamaica & are repeat offenders when it comes to the Caribbean. The Black Pearl Creole kitchen smashed it out of the park every time. Had the pleasure of eating here 3 times last week. The chickpea curry & the ribs were amazing. In fact, everything on the menu was soo authentic caribbean cooking. The rum punch was off the charts. Be warned they use overproofed rum it has a punch. Don't look at the prices coz its worth every penny. Don't let the hot chef put you off she rocks the house. Can't recommend highly enough

Delicious food, cooked and served by lovely, friendly folks who clearly have a passion for great flavours. Small menu but with enough range for meat eaters and vegetarians. Great atmosphere in simple surroundings tastefully decorated. Many thanks to Angie for the fab bread recipe.

This was an unexpected gem in Gairloch. The food was so delicious and the owners excellent with recommendations to suit needs. Would highly recommend and wish we were here for longer as we would eat there tonight too !! We will be back - thank you 🙏

This place is an absolute gem! The weather in Gairloch had been typically Scottish during our stay, and walking into The Black Pearl was like a breath of fresh air. It was lively, busy and had a great atmosphere. We wanted to eat in, so we ordered and grabbed a table. The food arrived and it was absolutely amazing! I had jerk chicken and it was beautifully done. The flavours were fresh and vibrant, and Angie also took care to make sure our little boy would enjoy the spicy flavours in his food. All of the staff are wonderful, and it's clear that everyone who works there cares passionately about the food that is served. We can't wait to visit again on our next trip.

Food was good but pretty expensive considering the raw ingredients and portion sizes. The potato nests were lovely but the very sweet sauce on the mac and cheese should have been optional.

Previously operating from a food truck they now have their own space. It’s a lovely space too - great music, simple wooden seats and a gracious hostess / owner / chef. We had the grilled aubergine, the jerk chicken flatbread and the Cubano sourdough toastie....
