Saddest, coldest takeaway ive eaten in a while. I waited nearly 50 minutes for cold fries, cold onion rings and a lukewarm burger that tastes like it was cooked hours ago, reheated & served in a dry bun with nothing else that was advertised in it. Av

Nice little restaurant with a good menu and very dog friendly. We were there during the week so no need to book and I wouldn’t book a table myself because they require a credit card to book and I refuse to give my credit card for that. We enjoyed burgers and chicken parm and our dog was offered water but we already had some. We definitely recommend this place as the staff are lovely.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in Inverness As a Girl who absolutely Loves their burgers but i absolutely Love their LFC burger the Chicken with the Louisiana breadcrumbs and the Chipotle sauce is absolutely delicious and their chips are really tasty. Exceptional food and cocktails. Very surprised to eat the best chicken parm I’ve ever had in Scotland. We came here 3 times in the 3 days we stayed in Inverness. Let that say it all.

Amazing food for an amazing price! Not often im spoilt for choice as a vegetarian but the three burger options alone was a tough one! They have a lunchtime deal for a burger and chips for £10 so we both went for that one veggie and one beef and it was so delicious. Lovely member of staff and lovely environment. Only sad I was so full as i would of had another just to enjoy it all over again.

Scotch and rye was a place I'd heard about from locals on repeat, sadly due to life being so hectic I was unable to visit it as soon as I'd have liked, but my gods, it was worth every second of the wait. I went for lunch the first time ordering the LFC burger which is quiet frankly utterly incredible, I'm not a pickle person but whatever the hell is on those pickles makes them dreamlike! They fit into the flavour profile of the burgers beautifully. Also, upon my second visit I ordered sweet potato fries and a normal smash burger, again, perfectly seasoned, cooked, executed fantastically, presented beautifully and it did not in any facet dissapoint, it was truly a force to be reckoned with. Points to note: - The food is incredible, but the price is hefty for portion sizes. - Drinks are quiet frankly stupidly marked up, a can of iron bru costing £3 is quite frankly a joke - food has yet to disappoint, always arrived quickly, well presented and very well made - the staff are very friendly and accommodating - the stairs to the bathroom are slippery and dangerous, be careful - they are dog friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic All in all it makes a great addition to the food/night life scene in Inverness, it would be nice if they'd gauge less on drinks cost but as we all know trying to explain to a shareholder why they are making less money is like explaining to a Tory why they need to pay taxes, impossible. Overall the staff are great, the atmosphere is great the food is great and the experience is one to enjoy, I'll be back without a doubt to battle some of the food challenges and more out of the box food choices they have. Best burger in Inverness goes to scotch and rye, but sorry folks, playback and the Innes bar have you beat ob the chips.

Great service and atmosphere. Sunday Roast comes in a giant Yorkshire pudding wrap, with two extra normal sized ones on the side! Also, spizy chicken burger was delicious. Meal for two + 2 beers (Inc tip), £50.

The food was lovely, however the amount of time you need to wait to be served anything is quite poor. i dont blame the staff to be honest as its a saturday night; however we waited almost 40 minutes AFTER getting the bill to actually pay meaning sat around with nothing on the table even after calling staff over. its extremely annoying waiting this amount of time JUST to pay while having called staff over twice- just for them to then serve other customers.

This is truly the best experience we've had since coming to Scotland. Great food, excellent service, and a very comfortable atmosphere. Definitely recommended. And their cocktail menu is top notch.

The delivery service was great although food wasn't worth the money. Burgers and fries were fine and tasty but I spent £18 for crispy wings and battered cauliflower alone and both of them was uncooked, unseasoned, greasy and not tasty at all. I am very disappointed

I was enjoying the dog friendly atmosphere but my opinion changed when i watched a waitress bend down, stroke a dog and then let it lick her hand. She then continued to take food orders. (In response to owner's comment - I didn't say when I was there so your confident assertion that you checked the CCTV just smacks of BS to me. If you're going to bullsh#t over bad reviews then at least make it convincing. I went another time and asked for an option that had garlic, but it was just sprinkled with garlic salt. I was unimpressed that I had to pay so muchg more for a sprinkle of garlic salt, not even real garlic, and when I calmy said to the manager I wasn't happy paying the extra, which wasn;t a huge amount, but I still felt it was a rip off, the manager reacted in a curt and unfriendly manner, rather than just being friendly and waving the extra charge. If i had wanted to i could have pushed for a refund of the entire main course but I tried to be reasonable and the response i got was cold and uninterested. It's not your money pal, you could've dealt with it way better. A little charm, rather than resentment for a small additional charge, would have completely transformed my review. Take the small hit for a bigger PR gain in future.)

I visited The Scotch & Rye with three friends based on a recommendation. We were there for some food and drinks, and while the experience had its highlights, it was a bit of a mixed bag. First off, the décor and atmosphere were impressive—everything about the vibe of the place was spot on. The staff were incredibly friendly and even offered us a free drink and wings, which was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. Based on the service and ambiance alone, I’d definitely return just for drinks with friends. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the rest of the experience. The signature burger was a big let-down—it was bland, the patty had a strange foam-like texture, and it was riddled with unchewable sinew and gristle, which made it inedible for me. The haggis balls were another disappointment; they were overly greasy and unappetizing in appearance. I’ve had haggis balls before, and the difference between what we received and what I’ve enjoyed elsewhere was like night and day. Overall, The Scotch & Rye is a great spot for drinks, thanks to its fantastic décor, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. However, I’d skip the food next time.

Went in with a voucher for a meal for two with cocktails and the server was both pleasant and knowledgable. They did a great job marketing their challenges. The food came quickly and was delicious, especially the chicken burger. The selection of hot sauces was also pretty decent. 10/10 would go back again

No sauce with the chicken tenders, and we ordered sweet potatoes fries and we had just fries. It was cold too.

This place was recommended to us because of their great gluten free options, and wow was I pleased! They had so many options and when the waitress wasn’t 100% sure on all the gf option, she sent someone else over who went through all the things that were available gluten free. I got the GF chicken tenders and fries and they were amazing! They told me they’d let the kitchen know about being celiac so be extra careful. My friends got the haggis popcorn and when the guy from earlier brought it out, he made sure to let me know it wasn’t gluten free. The servers were all friendly and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely come back here to try more of the gf options!

Scotch and Rye is incredible. As a gluten intolerant, with family finding a place to eat out together where one person doesn't feel left out is a struggle. I am gluten free, another of us gluten and dairy free and the other two have no restrictions. This means that at least one of us usually stares at the menu of 2 items which we can eat, while the others have many. Scotch and Rye is not that place. The gluten and dairy free options are galore. We can have the same burger as everyone else with some modifications. I can eat the meals I have always loved. The fries are incredible, perfectly crispy. The gluten free buns are the best I've ever had! The staff are so helpful and make the whole experience next level. With their help, we were able to slightly modify some of the options to be safe for us. The experience of being able to eat with your family without feeling left out is almost as good as the food. Scotch and Rye is our favourite place to eat out in Inverness. We want to thank Scotch and Rye —in particular the manager who has always been so helpful and thoughtful — for tasty food and great experiences.

Good food with many American twists, which I hadn't noticed until we jumped into the menu. The cocktails are definitely the star of this place though with their quirky names and fun blends. Great seating arrangement and parking wasn't too hard to find nearby!

If you're looking for a fun bar with delicious food and friendly service look no further! The staff was very helpful and kind the moment we walked in. Their seasonal Christmas cocktails were a fun twist on familiar drinks. Definitely recommend! PS, their spicy sauce is no joke 🥵

One of the few places that has the kitchen open until late. We came at 9:30/10 p.m. and they had the kitchen open, we had passed by 5 similar places and they had already closed the kitchen. Very good atmosphere, they are very friendly and best of all, at least for me, they have many gluten free options (without Tacc) 10 points!

Starting with the negative - there was a leak developed above our table, resulting in "fluid" dripping into our food, we asked to move tables, of which the staff allowed. However, within 20mins they had seated another couple at the leaky roof table. Very disappointing to see customers treated in that way. I made the new customers aware of this, as the hygiene implications of a roof leak into food is criminal. But on the positive side - the food and drinks were brilliant, the first 2 male members of staff were very efficient and helpful on arrival! It seems once they were on their break, however, the female member of staff was not interested in keeping up the same level of customer service, first grudgingly moving us, then very slow service, and very long waits between drinks orders. Overall, The first half of our visit was exceptional, would highly recommend! But the 2nd half, left us with a bitter taste in our mouth, let down purely by one staff member.

Came in for lunch, I had the Apocalypse Cow burger. It was amazing! The chilli sauce certainly brought the heat. I'm looking forward to coming back. I will make sure I have more water on standby 😅

Do not understand any negative reviews here! We stopped by for lunch after a quick google for dog friendly places to eat, and we were SO impressed by the food here. It was so yummy and flavourful, and great portion sizes. Very dog friendly too! Would definitely come back if in the area again.

Excellent service & tasty food. We had their weeknight two course special (2 burgers & falafels and chicken strips for entree) and some drinks. One was a local beer and one an Autumn cocktail - cocktail was delicious and the staff were very generous as I clumsily knocked my drink over after one sip and they immediately made me a replacement. Service was quick and attentive. They were happy to accommodate us last minute without a booking and had high chairs which worked a treat for our 8 month old. Great for a night out, a shame a couldn’t sample more cocktails.

Amazing place we had never been here as we were on holiday in Inverness booked a table as the website said it was dog friendly... the team are very positive and attentive. we were made extremely welcome, and the dogs were given treats as soon as we arrived, and the food was outstanding.... thank you for making our stay memorable 😁😁

The selection of hot sauces was a nice addition, but fan of the pineapple habenaro. The guy who served us was so friendly and after overhearing it was my partners birthday his burger came out with a little sparkler in it which was so sweet!

My husband and I love Scotch & Rye so much that we visited twice during our honeymoon. The food was great (my husband fell in love with the "Wall of Pain" hot sauces) and we loooooved the cocktail menu! I think we tried at least 8 different cocktails while we were there - a big shoutout to the boozy milkshakes. The servers are SO attentive and wonderful, and the atmosphere is honestly perfect. Shoutout to the bar staff who move quickly with serving drinks. Wish we had one more locally to us (Canada haha). Special mention to Sarah, who was a great server!

Stopped for lunch here. Wasn't too busy mid afternoon for a late lunch / early dinner. We all really enjoyed our meals , ordering a range of burgers and corn dogs between us. There was an excellent range of dushes to choose from. The meals were served quickly, portion sizes were perfect, not too large but still hearty and filling, and plenty condiments were provided on request - our waiter even went so far as to give our table extra gherkins when a member of the table exclaimed their love of gherkins on their burger. We had dogs with us and they were treated just as wonderfully as the humans. We would definitely come back for the grest value delicious food, great service and fantastic atmosphere.

Nice place, in full American style. Recommended if you want to avoid eating haggis for one evening during your Scottish tour. Delicious burgers and a huge choice of beers or cocktails. Friendly staff. Recommended to book on the site!

I asked for a very thick milkshake. They gave me vanilla milk with a little cookies and cream mixed in. Liquid. If you ever order a milkshake in Scotland be sure to specify what thick means. As in hard to suck through a straw.
