Very disappointed with the burger. Not really a patty in it. More like a schnitzel. Nit soft and juicy. Not right

Starting with the negative - there was a leak developed above our table, resulting in "fluid" dripping into our food, we asked to move tables, of which the staff allowed. However, within 20mins they had seated another couple at the leaky roof table. Very disappointing to see customers treated in that way. I made the new customers aware of this, as the hygiene implications of a roof leak into food is criminal. But on the positive side - the food and drinks were brilliant, the first 2 male members of staff were very efficient and helpful on arrival! It seems once they were on their break, however, the female member of staff was not interested in keeping up the same level of customer service, first grudgingly moving us, then very slow service, and very long waits between drinks orders. Overall, The first half of our visit was exceptional, would highly recommend! But the 2nd half, left us with a bitter taste in our mouth, let down purely by one staff member.

Came in for lunch, I had the Apocalypse Cow burger. It was amazing! The chilli sauce certainly brought the heat. I'm looking forward to coming back. I will make sure I have more water on standby 😅

Good food, and good service. Although it is definitely more finger food oriented. Cocktails were also nice, although it would be nice if they also put a price list on their whiskey/Whisky cart on their site.

Reservado el día anterior para un 11. 30 brunch sentado porque eso es todo lo que el sitio web dijo que estaba disponible, así que cambiamos los planes para encajar con esto, ya que era solo 1 de unos pocos lugares que admiten perros que tenían una opción sin gluten. A pesar de esta situación extraña tuvimos un poco muy agradable de comida y cócteles a la hora del almuerzo. Conducía así que tenía opción sin alcohol y fue absolutamente brillante. La decoración del lugar es simple paneles de madera y mesas, pero se veía muy bien. Tuve un perro de maíz con patatas fritas y queso y salsa de tocino por £ 13, que era aproximadamente correcto y era perfecto. El perro tenía una magdalena y mi familia estaban felices, así que recomendaría este lugar de hechoy

Do not understand any negative reviews here! We stopped by for lunch after a quick google for dog friendly places to eat, and we were SO impressed by the food here. It was so yummy and flavourful, and great portion sizes. Very dog friendly too! Would definitely come back if in the area again.

Excellent service & tasty food. We had their weeknight two course special (2 burgers & falafels and chicken strips for entree) and some drinks. One was a local beer and one an Autumn cocktail - cocktail was delicious and the staff were very generous as I clumsily knocked my drink over after one sip and they immediately made me a replacement. Service was quick and attentive. They were happy to accommodate us last minute without a booking and had high chairs which worked a treat for our 8 month old. Great for a night out, a shame a couldn’t sample more cocktails.

Literally £40 for utter rubbish requested a refund as when the food arrived it was inedible

Lovely experience, and even had a menu for our dog so that he didn't feel left out. The cocktails were also fantastic and we will definitely look to return when we are back in Inverness :-)

Servicio amable pero carente de cualquier forma de atención al cliente. Nadie te pregunta si tu comida está bien, que en este caso no lo estaba. Papas fritas que claramente se recalentaron y terminaron con una cáscara vacía.

Food was amazing! The service was equally as amazing and the atmosphere is very cool and fun to look around! Found out they have a few food challenges, so if you're up for them, this is the place to do it.

Amazing place we had never been here as we were on holiday in Inverness booked a table as the website said it was dog friendly... the team are very positive and attentive. we were made extremely welcome, and the dogs were given treats as soon as we arrived, and the food was outstanding.... thank you for making our stay memorable 😁😁

Good food, unpretentious cocktails and lovely staff. Good selection of vegetarian food, the natcho burger was so good! The selection of hot sauces was a nice addition, but fan of the pineapple habenaro. The guy who served us was so friendly and after overhearing it was my partners birthday his burger came out with a little sparkler in it which was so sweet!

My husband and I love Scotch & Rye so much that we visited twice during our honeymoon. The food was great (my husband fell in love with the "Wall of Pain" hot sauces) and we loooooved the cocktail menu! I think we tried at least 8 different cocktails while we were there - a big shoutout to the boozy milkshakes. The servers are SO attentive and wonderful, and the atmosphere is honestly perfect. Shoutout to the bar staff who move quickly with serving drinks. Wish we had one more locally to us (Canada haha). Special mention to Sarah, who was a great server!

Loved our dinner at Scotch and Rye! The atmosphere was cozy, the food was great and the service was amazing! Thanks to Lauren, Sara and everyone on staff for a great feed and good vibes. We had the Bacon and Cheese Burger and the Chicken Tenders and everything was so delicious we stayed for some apple pie.

Staff friendliness matched only by their good recommendations for whisky. Friends loved the food. I would absolutely recommend this place as your dinner and drink stop. Wings are a good size but could use a little more spice 😜

Fantastic cocktail menu! If you are into hot sauce, you are in luck. They have a 'Wall of Pain', with a stellar selection of hot sauces. Great staff, good food.

Stopped for lunch here. Wasn't too busy mid afternoon for a late lunch / early dinner. We all really enjoyed our meals , ordering a range of burgers and corn dogs between us. There was an excellent range of dushes to choose from. The meals were served quickly, portion sizes were perfect, not too large but still hearty and filling, and plenty condiments were provided on request - our waiter even went so far as to give our table extra gherkins when a member of the table exclaimed their love of gherkins on their burger. We had dogs with us and they were treated just as wonderfully as the humans. We would definitely come back for the grest value delicious food, great service and fantastic atmosphere.

Nice place, in full American style. Recommended if you want to avoid eating haggis for one evening during your Scottish tour. Delicious burgers and a huge choice of beers or cocktails. Friendly staff. Recommended to book on the site!

I asked for a very thick milkshake. They gave me vanilla milk with a little cookies and cream mixed in. Liquid. If you ever order a milkshake in Scotland be sure to specify what thick means. As in hard to suck through a straw.

Great burger restaurant! The dishes are good and plentiful. The restaurant also offers a wide choice of cocktails! I recommend the Backyard BBQ chicken and the Apocalypse Cow (watch out for the sauce served with the second burger which is 6 million on the Scoville scale 🌶️🔥)

Delia, best waitress we have had on our trip to the highlands. She was attentive and pointed us in the right direction! Not only was our food fantastic, she sent us on an amazing journey for a good night of live music and good times. My family can’t wait to go back!!

Reservations recommended. We were a party of 2 and could be accommodated but a larger group was turned away. Book this place if you’re heading there, it tends to get busy in the evening. Food was great and filling, beers were nice as well. They have a wall of hot sauce which I loved. Pet friendly so thats always a bonus. Highly recommended for food in the area!

Have not been in here for a while but shall certainly be visiting again . Lovely feel to the place , chilled music but above all the staff were great . Both staff members that were present that day were great, but Fiona was absolutely fantastic, friendly , welcoming and makes superb cocktails even off menu .

It's not often people with completely different tastes can leave a restaurant equally delighted! As a vegan, I had the very rare experience of having genuine choice. A menu that had variety and interest, and I was struggling to choose my favourite option. My carnivore friend had similar problems, deciding from a range of mouth watering options. When the food arrived, we absolutely loved the flavours of our meals. My friend was blown away by her meal, and declared it one of her absolute favourites. I loved mine too, and even Maisie, our dog, was delighted at being fussed over, and getting a treat from the special dog menu. As was said at the time, there is a difference between places that are dog tolerant, and those that are genuinely dog friendly. Friendly and attentive, this is a great find, and we'll definitely be back. Modern and comfortable, it's a place you'd be happy to chill in with a couple of drinks. Judging by the size of the alcohol menu, you won't be disappointed if you fancy some drinks. In summary, the food is interesting and full of flavour, and offers genuine e choices for vegans too. Dog friendly, comfortable, and good value. It's my new favourite place to eat in Inverness.

A touristy restaurant with an incomprehensible menu; your cocktails will be pure ice with very little liquid to drink; the service is long and bad...

We loved this pub! We came by chance to have dinner; it was so good that we had to repeat the experience the next day. The place is charming, and the food is quite good (American-style pub food). Once we were there, we discovered that they also had excellent cocktails. Go for the chicken wings with buffalo sauce and the "Lemon Meringue Pie" cocktail.

We were very happy to find Scotch & Rye, it was the only bar in town we found that was still serving food at 10pm, it was a life saver! The food was great, and the staff were friendly and had a great atmosphere!

Don’t do it, if you want burgers. They have literally NOTHING on them except the petty and one leaf. We had two different burgers. No tomato, no onion, nothing… the coleslaw was really bad too. So unfortunately I can’t give positive feedback. Keep in mind that they strongly promote their burgers.

Went to scotch and rye today for my sons 21st would like to say thank you for the excellent service and lovely food . We had a lovely time and the staff went out there way to be so attentive would definitely 100% recommend to eat here and will be definitely going back

Had dinner here today after 300 miles along the north coast - received a super friendly welcome. Great ambience, service was quick and very nice (answered our questions about the menu really well), the food came quickly and was super tasty! Rarely have I eaten such good meat. Really a recommendation! Top! 7 stars (if it were possible)

They completely got my order wrong but was happy to fix it for me but they charged me for the food I didn't order which was more than what I ordered because the service was good I didn't fuss about it but attention to detail is necessary

Good place for vegetarians. Lots of choices. Tasty food. The cookies and cream milkshake is excellent. The skinny fries are normal thickness American fries :-)

Great food not two expensive great staff and dog friendly

Great pub with excellent food (best Mac'n'Cheese ever). Our two doggies were also well looked after. The friendliness and attention couldn't be topped, That's why we were guests 3 times in 3 days ;-) !!! Many many thanks to Liam and Robyn, nice to meet you :-))

Burgers are brilliant, be aware the hot sauce is HOT.

Went to Scotch and Rye for lunch while passing through town. Service was fantastic, staff offered great advice on whiskey to try per our tastes. Cauliflower wings were a little over cooked and sparce, but the chicken bfc burger was great. We also had the steak and cheese... for Scotland it's was pretty good. The banana old fashioned was fantastic also. Can't say enough about how great every one of the staff was for us. It's a solid 4.5 stars, but because google won't allow for half stars, I rounded up to 5 for the service.

Cool location, large beer & whiskey selection. The memory card is very well sorted and the food was excellent.

Fabulous service and excellent selection of food and drink, and dog friendly! We booked late and arrived early. We were given a warm welcome, the staff are all excellent, made a fuss of the dogs, they were friendly, laid back but professional. Service from start to finish fantastic. Food and drink excellent too. We would definitely return.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious, service was really friendly, and a great fun atmosphere. We visited as a family during the day, so decided not to enjoy the awesome-looking cocktails, but I imagine this would be a great place for a night out as well!

Great food and interesting drinks

Delicious vegan food, and loads of great vegan options! We both had vegan burgers, but other vegan options included vegetable wraps, mac and cheese, nachos, quesadillas, and more. Restaurant also offers vegan desserts - the banoffee cheesecake was great! The staff were so friendly, great chat and very attentive all night. It was a pleasure dining here and I will be sure to recommend it to any friends visiting Inverness.

We loved it here! As someone who is gluten intolerant, finding good places to eat can be quite tough, so it was great to see that I could eat here. Our server was also gluten intolerant, and it was nice to hear her suggestions and recommendations both about the menu and in general. The drinks were all absolutely delicious, as was the gluten-free burger and key lime cheesecake. If we're back in Inverness, I'll definitely be coming back!

Had a smashed burger The ambience was great Beer was also very good I thought fries were ok too But I'm sorry about the smashed burger but the meat was more than fried to death - unfortunately it was on the grill for too long Otherwise I found the place quite good 👍

Dog friendly place 🐶 every time we have passed it’s always packed to the rafters. Tonight we managed to get in for some post dinner desert whilst we waited for the bus back to our accommodation. Staff were lovely and friendly from the offset, they even have a doggie menu, so ordered our pupper some doggie macaroons, the serving was generous! She got about 6 of them! And she loved them (saved a few for her to enjoy at home later) The Key lime cheese cake and the apple pie were lovely. Very busy place and I can see why, it’s worth booking in advance if you can! We will be back next time for dinner. Thank you for a lovely end to our evening.

Io e mio marito ci siamo recati in questo locale per cena. Oltre al personale super gentile, abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Molto buono l'"haggis popcorn": la salsa con la mostarda era squisita e l'haggis cotto alla perfezione. Come portata principale abbiamo preso 2 Scotch & Rye smash burger: l'unica parola per descriverli è "deliziosi". Ci siamo trovati molto bene e sarà il nostro punto di riferimento nel caso in cui dovessimo tornare a Inverness.

Quirky place, was busy and buzzing on a Saturday early evening. Lots of menu choice, often with a twist. We shared a couple of starters between 3 of us . Our mains were all delicious, be careful with their hot sauce 🔥! good gluten free choices, tasty cocktails. Pleasant waiting staff. Great place to go if in the area
