Mobile Munchies in Highland

All take-out, but you can eat inside. Food was fine, service was fine, BUT there is ONE guy at the bar and everyone has to pay at the bar. Somehow none of the service providers know how/are allowed to run the cash register. So all the people stopping by for a beer, and all the people eating, and all the locals who are regulars, all need this one guy. He's trying to fill beer and drink orders, AND run the only cash register. The place was PACKED and the line went through the entire restaurant. We had a tour booked 30 minutes later and had to ask for special treatment in order to get checked out in time to make our tour, which made us feel like jerks, but really it's just a really inefficient business practice. They can do better.

Great location. Direct sea views. Very good food. Had seafood linguine; which was excellent - included Scottish mussels and hot smoked salmon, as well as other usual ingredients. Simple green salad - very good crisp veg and properly dressed. Quality of food and preparation shine through. Well done to chefs and attentive and welcoming front of house team. Definitely worth a visit in a town with so so other dining choices. We are passing through so don’t know what else is available locally. This place - food, service and location doing very well.
