The best restaurants serving American food in North Eastern NI

My partner and I went for breakfast on Christmas eve in Safari they were extremely busy the staff was under a lot of pressure to get the orders out and still they where full of Christmas cheer addentive and informative with regard to ordering food . The kitchen staff put out fabulous food as always even being under pressure it still came out looking fantastic and tasting great. Wishing Dave and Dee the owners and the staff a very happy Christmas and busy new year.

Had breakfast hash and a mocha today with my daughter. It was delicious and the service was so good. Mannerly, helpful and happy staff. Will definitely be back. Only criticism the helpings are big so couldn't manage anything else! Next time...

Nice place but was let down on our recent visit by poor service. Made to feel like we were an ' inconvenience ' as we had not booked ( and it wasn't even busy ). Service was slow and staff quite grumpy . Have had good experiences here before so perhaps it was just an ' off ' day.

We’ve been loyal customers of this restaurant for a long time, recommending it to friends and family on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was so disappointing, we’re not sure if we will return. To start, the wait time was shockingly long, even though we had made a reservation. Given that they should have been prepared for us, this was frustrating. What made it worse was the lack of communication. Had they explained the delay or at least acknowledged the issue, it wouldn’t have been as bothersome, but there was no effort to keep us informed. The staff seemed completely unbothered, giving off the impression that they didn’t care about their customers. When the food finally arrived, it was an even bigger letdown. The quality was far below what we had come to expect from this place. It was honestly hard to believe this was the same restaurant we’ve enjoyed so many times before. What made the experience worse was the lack of attention from the staff. Not once did anyone check in with us about how the meal was. When the plates were taken away, there was no follow-up or interest in our feedback. When we mentioned how bad the food was while paying the bill, the server didn’t even apologise or seem to care about our concerns. We’ve always loved this place, but after this experience, we’re left questioning whether it’s worth recommending anymore. Very disappointing.

Beautiful food as always and service was spot on staff were friendly as always definitely be back again that's for sure.

We booked for the Seafood Night and it was fabulous. The food was amazing….I had the chowder followed by tempura monkfish. So impressed with the fabulous flavours. Lovely staff too. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Chips were hard. One slice of ham. Too much stuffing and didn’t get the cranberry sauce that I asked for.

Great for gluten free food , and you can get a fry anytime of the day ( also gluten free) . I find that going onto papa browns it has good food and service and I found it cheaper than Springsteen's , it's reasonably priced . At the moment papa browns is good , and would recommend it ( so far haven't had a bad meal and been using it quite often , and definitely a place you can take someone who needs to eat gluten free , especially the fry )

Great wee meal with family including teenagers. Something for everyone and gluten free menu available. Portions were very generous and everyone enjoyed their choices. Reasonably priced and staff very friendly. Would recommend.

This place is closed and looks like it has been for sometime

A lovely wee cafe I hadn't tried before on previous visits home. This morning I enjoyed a first class fry for only 6.95. The owner Mark was very accommodating and happy to swap out egg, which I don't eat, for an excellent black pudding. Warm service. Highly recommended.

The fish supper was OK I was a little disappointed that one of the Cod's was overcooked and not really edible. The chips were perfect.

Great restaurant. They were busy when we visited but service was good. Lots of vegetarian choices too, food was delicious and portions generous. Really good atmosphere and friendly attentive staff. Everyone in our large group of eight loved this restaurant and wish we lived nearer so we could visit again
