Lovely spot for a meal. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The only negative I could say was that the dessert took a long time coming. It didn't spoil the meal and had it not been just so long I wouldn't have mentioned it. We'll be back because there's an interesting menu to explore.

First time visiting, has a tapas specialty night. Everything was delicious. Large servings for tapas, but I regret not ordering more. Very fair pricing and lovely staff. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Honestly best food I've had in a long time. Chef deserves a raise. Place was stunning very smart but also very welcoming. Staff were very friendly. Perfect for a nice meal before a ferry trip.

What a lovely surprise. The fish and chips was amazing but it was surpassed by my husband’s seafood chowder. It was the best we have tasted anywhere in the world. Kudos and compliments to the chef.

Excellent chips daube beef and kentucky chicken, good service v friendly great cocktails tandoori sea bass fantastic great Xmas lights decorations wonderful tree in out door space pulled roof over made it very cosy with DJ playing the best of tunes, dancing an a good ole xmas eve boogie well done Olderfleet staff, great bunch.

Great place lovely atmosphere,only issue was our table we had requested no high tables ,when we went in we where put at only high table !!waitress was very gd got us another table in bar ,not what we wanted but had to do ,so we didnt sit down till 8.30 table was booked 7.30 food was gd when we got it didnt get dessert till 10.15 bit late !!

I am over from England and when I lived here it was only a pub but I was amazed how lovely it is now and I really enjoyed my meal when I come.over again I will certainly call again many thanks for you service Anita

Eaten here quire a few times. Really nice food, in this friendly bar. Their menu changes regularly, it can be hard to choose, everything on the menu sounds lovely.

Been calling here for a long time whilst waiting for my ferry. Never had a bad meal, Never failed to get a conversation, staff are efficient but not overbearing . Believe this bar is family run, has a great atmosphere.

It's been a long time since I was at the Olderfleet. Not since it's all been refurbished. All I can say is, WOW. It's absolutely gorgeous. Done up to such a high standard. The staff are extremely friendly & have a wee bit of banter with you. Nice wee choice of meals - nothing left on our plates. Good sized portions. Total enjoyment & I will be back again. Soon, this time

I couldn’t rave more about and I highly recommend Olderfleet! It was a late booking for a large group of 20 people. Stacey dealt with my phone calls and email bookings, she was beyond helpful , understanding and very accommodating. We preordered our meals before our arrival , and everything came out exactly right. Between the 20 of us I think we ordered at least one of everything on the menu, without one single complaint. Everyone loved what they had ordered, commented on its quality, tastiness and quantity. The waiting staff were busy , but never left us sitting for long without bringing the next serving or replenishing our drinks. Even apologised for their lack of service (which believe me there was none, they were all fabulous). It was my first time visiting Olderfleet bar restaurant, but it most definitely won’t be my last. I’ll be recommending it to everyone I speak to. Sorry food didn’t sit long enough for photos 🫣😂. Thanks again!!

Visiting family in larne had a wonderful meal great chowder. Very attentive staff. Would recommend will be Visiting again next time in larne

Love this place, we've eaten here on a couple of occasions passing through. Food is excellent. Staff are really friendly, in particular Paula. Highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff. The food is incredible. All three of us cleared our plates. I am vegetarian, and my risotto tonight was the best I've ever had. Butternut squash with kale and feta on top. It was brilliant. I will visit again.

I have ate here twice in the last couple of weeks and have been more than happy with the service and the food. The staff are fantastic and very accommodating! Would definitely recommend this venue.

Delicious food, varied menu. Friendly staff. Adequate Free Car Parking for Patrons of Olderfleet Bar & Lounge, to left of the building. Ideal venue for catch-up lunches etc. Or larger get togethers.

Went for the Fergie reunion, and wow, what a night. The venue is lovely and great parking. Staff were great, but I can't comment on the food as I was neck deep in Vodka bit it looked great

One of the best bars in the town.

Location is a bit off the beaten path, in the industrial/port part of town, but it's fantastic. Well worth a visit. The chowder was the best I've ever had, rich and so tasty. (So good I forgot to photograph it). Nice bottle of NZ sauv blanc, seafood mix, and tandoori seabass for main. Lemon roulade for dessert. Haven't enjoyed a meal this much in ages.

On the first evening of our stay in Larne, we visited the olderfleet bar & lounge. And everything was perfect. The seafood chowder, the Guinness zero on draft!, the friendly waitress. Absolute fine.

Very nice food and pleasant atmosphere. The chowder is indeed delicious - assumed this would be like every third place in the USA where "chef Bob makes the best chowder in town" - but no, this one *is* genuinely yummy: rich, hot, full of fish and refined veg, well seasoned. Other food and drink good too!

Below average food. Service was okay, didn't come round often for drink orders. They just kept playing the Dermot Kennedy album over n over again

A hidden gem in Larne. Maybe put a board outside to let people driving past know that you sell food all day?

Probably the best filet I've had in a long time. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and a nice chared crust. The mash was tasty as well. My buddy had the lamb shank and he had nothing but postive vibes with his food also. The waitress was beyond friendly. Parking was easy on the street directly across from the entrance and there was even a door man. Although I've enjoyed the atypical pub food while in Ireland, it was nice to have a "real" meal. I will be back when I return to Ireland.

Fabulous find with delicious food and outdoors area

The Olderfleet Bar & Lounge is a real 'must visit' if you're in Larne and in need of food and/or drinks! This really is a gem of a place to eat and drink, the food is excellent, prices are definitely value for money and drinks are competitively priced too. During our recent stay in town, we went to the Olderfleet on both evenings and really enjoyed the food and drinks, but what made the place extra special for my wife and I were the staff. We were definitely made to feel really welcome on both evenings and the level of service was nothing short of superb! So, a really BIG thank-you to Jacki, Stacey, Aaron and Megan who took care of us, and not forgetting the chef(s) who prepared some really excellent food! It's unlikely we'll ever stay in Larne again, but will happily travel to the Olderfleet just for dinner!! Thanks again guys!!

We were there on June 1, the place has a cozy atmosphere, the food is very good and above all the treatment from the girl who served us was exquisite. Seen from the outside it doesn't look like anything it really is. In Larne, if you are passing through this place guarantees good food, good atmosphere and good treatment

This place is a real hidden gem. It's tucked away at the far end of Larne, down beside the harbour. I didn't know it existed until a friend told me about it. My friend has been many times so I decided to give it a go. I was not disappointed. It's really tastefully decorated inside and has a nice atmosphere. Most importantly the food is great. Our main courses were Guinness braised beef and lamb shank and both pieces of meat were incredibly tender and tasty. My goats cheese starter was spot on, just enough for a starter and the panna cotta desert was nice and light. As it is a bar, they have an extensive selection of drinks as you might expect. Nice looking beer garden for those who are interested. Staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back and I would recommend it to anyone. Just stick it into the sat nav and you will find it! Also, there is a carpark at the side of the building for your parking convenience!

We have only been drinking there. But this pub is extraordinary in it's ambience. Very friendly and kind service. We regret, that we have been there only once.

What can I say is that it is a hidden gem in Larne. My son and I went there for lunch. From start to finish, it was fantastic from the staff to the food was beautiful. I had the fish mushy peas and chips 5 stars. I give that my son had the double burger 🍔 which he sure enjoyed. The decor was outstanding and outside space as well. Will diffently be returning next it be with my wife 😁

Visited on Steak Night (Weds). Had a delicious steak meal with an amazingly creamy pepper sauce. Very pleasant decor and atmosphere.

Food was great, service was great but loud blaring music was obnoxious. Left with a headache made it not enjoyable.

Picture this: a historic bar and lounge that's been around since the 1800s, with a beer garden so big you could easily get lost in it. That's The Olderfleet Bar & Lounge for you, The McNeill Family has been running the place for over two decades, and they've recently given it a facelift - think modern refurbishments and a fancy new cocktail bar with a balcony. But let's get to the real star of the show: the food. Head Chef Pol Shields is the man behind the magic, having won multiple awards for his seafood chowder, which is apparently the best in Ireland. I'll be the judge of that, Pol. I ordered the steak sandwich, and I have to say, it was a solid choice. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the local produce they use made all the difference. I could the North Coast in every bite. And let's not forget about the live entertainment they have every week. If you're in Co. Antrim and looking for a fun night out, The Olderfleet Bar & Lounge is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

A recently discovered place to eat where the decor is stunning and the menu/food had been great at first. Now though, I find the menu has been taken up a notch and I found barely anything I wanted to eat. If I wanted burgers or fish ‘n’ chips I’d get a takeaway so I chose daube of beef - the beef was chewy but the little bit of potato, veg and gravy was very tasty. Again, for dessert I found only one I would eat - the roulade - this was delicious. Sadly though the people I was there with feel that we need to find another place to eat due to the menu change.

Nice enough pub, friendly staff, meal was fine but no where enough for the price of it. Certainly didn't fill me.
