This is an American diner themed greasy-spoon restaurant. It's the usual burger and fries joint. The best thing about it is that it is 2 minutes drive to the Craigryan ferry, so a good place to pause if you are early. The hot chocolates are very good. The garlic-chilli curly fries are very greasy with almost no discernable garlic or chilli. Probably best not eaten before a rough crossing.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Popped in on the off chance as was close by, great atmosphere and the food was ok. The guy who served us was friendly and very helpful. The kids really enjoyed it

American themed, the portions are BIG. The service is relaxed but good. You can can see clearly into the kitchen, which I think is always a good sign. Parking outside is free.

WOLF PACK 17.99 (Where it all started 2008) Char grilled juicy Wagyu beef burger, honey chilli crispy battered chicken strips, BBQ beef brisket, chilli Jack cheese, smoked red pepper mayo, beer battered onion rings, served with garlic & chilli curly fries... This burger is unreal it's a must...thank you.

Food is decent. I had sirloin medium well and it was rare mostly which is not a big deal for me as I don't mind rare. My wife however had medium but it arrived as well done. My daughter's burger came out very dry. It must have been a very lean burger or it was overcooked but it was not the quality you would expect from a restaurant. Staff were super nice and helpful.

Came into Brooklyn Bay Diner at 7.20pm on the 12th of July, guy told me to take a seat at the front of the bar area , watched him waltz up and down past me loads of time , waited 10 minutes still didn’t come to get me seated . Then 2 families arrived in through the door and he immediately approached them and took them to a seat ! Sorry but I was made to feel insignificant and insulted at that time , that I will not be back !

Visited recently for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic and prices were good for the amount of food we had!

The food is okay, but waiting an hour for it is not okay.

Stopped here before getting a ferry, the best place we've visited. The staff were so welcoming and polite and the food was amazing, we had the breakfast brunch and very good value for money. We will be making this our start and finish place on our next visit to Ireland.

Very nice breakfast French toast and bacon was delicious Our waiter was very pleasant and efficient. I didn’t get his name but he had a blond tip in his hair. He was great. Food arrived quickly only criticism was it could have been even a little hotter but apart from that it was nice and a reasonable cost

Extremely poor, actually sh1t. Save your money, has went to the dogs. Even the seat across was destroyed and not fixed. Rubbish waste of money

Plates of food were enormous. Really tasty American style food, we had the New Tex Mex which had some of the best beef brisket I've tasted, along with big chicken tenders and loads of other stuff. The salt and chilli curly fries were amazing.

My family member and I decided to call her for something to eat. We were taken to a table which we had to move from as it was so wobbly. After being given the menus we had such a long wait before anyone came to us before taking our order. The drinks came quite a while before the food. I ordered the fish and instead of chunky chips I asked for the garlic coated potato cubes. I also asked for coleslaw instead of tartar sauce. My family member asked for the loaded dinersaur. The drinks was a glass of diet coke and an americano. When the food came what a disappointment. I had no coleslaw and had to ask for it only to get a tiny container. Also the fish batter was overdone and extremely greasy. Also the garlic potato cubes were overdone and could hardly have been ate. My family member's meal was also disappointing. There was supposed to be honey crispy chicken but it was cut into such small bits it was so hard to see. It was the same with the potato wedges. It also was to come with crispy onions but all it was was a pile of tobacco onions set on the top of it. It was also covered in too much sauce. I had eaten about nearly 2/3 of mine when I saw a black hair on my plate and the fish touching it. That was enough, I felt sick after that and couldn't eat anything else. We called a staff member and pointed it to him. He just said "Oh sorry, do you want anything else?" Of course I wanted nothing else. He just took the plates away. We went to pay and nothing was said about the hair. Price was atrocious. £3.49 for a small glass of diet coke - only about the amount in a can. We will never be back there again. I have nothing good to say about here or the food.

Called in Sunday 14th May 23, and enjoyed every mouthful. Got the chicken curry on a bed of fried rice, with garlic, chilli curly fries, the wife got lasagna, both came with garlic bread. Really tasty, chicken very tender, and lightly battered, curry on the money. Difinetly a return visit. Yip was there Sunday, 5th May and once again a great feed, had to ask for a takeaway box. Ordered the stuntman, and was not disappointed, tender chicken in a light batter, served on a bed of noodles, with bacon on top, and a bowl of fries.

I didn't particularly enjoy my meal. It was a take ridiculous American food and seemed a little over done. However. Our waiter was hands down the nicest human I've met in awhile. So if you poke your head in here, I expect you'll be well looked after.

I've never tasted anything as gorjus as this place, the food is out of this world and I came all the way from Belfast.. Highly highly recommend, the staff are lovely and so welcoming.. Defo be back again.... Yeeeoooo up the harbour rats lol lol

We love Brooklyn Bay! The menu has a wide selection of classic diner favourites. The portion sizes are generous and the flavours are spot on! We really enjoyed the cocktails, and the Mother's Day special menu. The service is always excellent. A great stop before or after watching a movie at the Omniplex.

Busy American style dinner. There is a large free car park outside the restaurant. Large choice of Southern American style food on the menu. Staff were decent and the food was very reasonably priced.

Nice quiet atmosphere and massive portions of good food.

Despite living locally I hadn’t visited here for a long time due to previous poor experiences, however we called in after the cinema on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was very quiet. The menu has significantly reduced (which isn’t a bad thing) but the prices have really increased and unfortunately I just don’t think it’s worth it. We chose a burger, salt and chilli chicken and kids nuggets (which are actually goujons). The food was hot and nice enough however, it is just over hyped deep fried frozen food and at around £17,99 for a main I doubt I’ll be rushing back.

Called to book a table for xmas eve and was told they weren't taking bookings and just to turn up and wait for a table Arrived on Xmas eve at 4.05pm only to be told they stopped serving at 4pm. Nice one Brooklyn Bay.

Amazing restaurant, food was delicious and well cooked, pricing wise, some things could have been cheaper for what they were but other things are a great deal.

Used to love this place, but hadn't been in a while. Went last week as it was my birthday. Will be my last visit. The Captain Jack burger has been removed from the menu, so went for the St Louis Steak Sandwich, medium well. The first piece was fine the next were raw, sent it back, by the time a new one came out the family had ate theirs, despite being hungry I just couldn't eat the second one, still raw bits of steak in it. Won't be back.

We ate here for lunch after a trip to Carnfunnock and were seriously not impressed. The prices for food for that type of restaurant were extortionate so we were expecting the food to be really good, but it was far from it. My husband had the burger off the Halloween specials menu, and the kids had burger and chips off the kids menu and all the burgers were so dry. I had the creamy chicken pasta dish and it was completely tasteless along with bad cuts of chicken throughout it. We’re just back from a weekend in London where we had a much nicer meal for much cheaper. I understand there is a cost of living issue at the moment and the hospitality industry is particularly hard hit by this, but Brooklyn Bay need to seriously reconsider their prices if a restaurant in Covent Garden is able to produce a better meal at a much cheaper price than a diner in Larne! The one star is for the service as the young guy who served us was super friendly and can’t be faulted.

We had 3 mega frys to carry out, no toast , bacon seemed on the verge of being off , not cooked properly , burnt tomato, very disappointed

Burnt and I assume re heated Garlic bites and tough chewy overcooked chicken burger …. Slow service three chefs in the kitchen we could see on a go slow…. Restaurant was not busy - Plastic tubs with cooked chips etc sitting under the hot lamps so not cooked fresh to order And frozen onion rings on top of the chicken burger - no effort to make them fresh …. Hopefully an off night but won’t be rushing back sadly

I got a very small portion of lasagne, could of passed for a kids meal, staff kept rushing the grandchildren by asking if everyone was finished their meal 3 times when it was obvious we hadn't.

Really good food in a big restaurant, family were happy. Bit expensive but would return Returned twice lately and the food is still good quality. Sadly they removed the mixed grill from the menu but understandable with prices nowadays. Staff always accomodating

We had lunch here yesterday. Food looked fine but both dishes were luke warm at best. Only a couple of tables in use thus no atmosphere Restaurant was cold inside! Waitress was inattentive. The Silver Lounge on Larne main street is half the price and the food is hot and tasty! Brooklyn Bay has definitely has went down hill from previous visits.We Won't be back. If you like your tasty and warm this is not the place!! Try the Silver Lounge!!!

1st visit back since Covid, was not disappointed! Food was excellent, as was the service. Decor hasn't changed in years though, could do with a little 'refreshing', but appreciate with drop in trade over Covid, funds might not be overly available for this.

Needed a decent meal before catching Larne ferry home and were all pleasantly surprised with an excellent meal. We all had a variety of choices and all were very happy with our food and drinks. Wouldn't normally choose a Diner - but was perfect for what we needed and close to the ferry. Good service and clean facilities also helped our 5 star rating. Would def go again when we are back in NI

Avoid chuncky chips they cover them with strong flavouring which is totally unnecessary....

Bad meal once before but I thought it might be a one off. It wasn't. Won't be back 😌

Food was lovely and such a big menu to choose from. The prices were not too bad either and the portion sizes were massive! There was quite a big kids menu with a lot of options too. We will definitely be back soon because we didn't get to try any of their desserts or their large cocktail menu. Lots of parking and the service was good as well on a Saturday afternoon.
