LA Smokehut serves up generous portions of classic American barbecue. The barbecue burnt ends are dark and rich, just as they should be. The brisket is meltingly tender and the animal fries, well they were a meal in themselves. The only surprise was that the place wasn't busier. Definitely worth going there before word gets out.

I live local and wanted to try this place out. The steaks were cooked really well however overall I wouldn’t recommend it for a night out. *A lot of the food on the menu wasn’t available which happens.. I guess on a Saturday night. *Requested a bottle of Chilean wine; was provided a a different bottle called ‘Beef Steak’ and was less than a tenner in Tescos (establishment charged £26.00). Ordered a starter of olives… there was more mixed leaf salad than olives. It genuinely felt like the stock was sourced from the Tesco metro nearby… Then charged a service charge after. Was deeply embarrassing…

The decor is really unique. The design looks like a vintage American diner. They have pinball and other vintage games. The vibe is really great! The entertainment they have in is really good as well, but most always ticketed, so book prior. The cocktails and milkshakes looked good, but they only have 2 types of beer on tap, and one is carling... yuk @£5.50 Brooklyn £6.80. The food was horrible and was way too expensive for the quality. Nothing is made fresh. It seems to be all frozen foods. Which was such a disappointment because we really like the vibe. One classic hotdog is around £10 and tastes like cardboard. The large cheesy chips was a small bowl of fries with a small amount of mozzarella cheese on them for £5.

My second visit to the revamped tavern. Had a lovely vibe on a Friday night. The food was really good. Shared a few small plates to start including the olives which are deep fried and delicious. Really good choice of mains . I had the chicken burger but good choices for veg and gluten free. Food took a little while but it was so busy the staff did their best and it didn’t matter. I am looking forward to going back to try the Sunday lunch
