A friend highly recommended this Fish and Chips the first time I visited Carmarthen 17 years ago. He's gone to a better place now. God bless his soul. I remembered thinking that it was the best fish and chips. Never had a chance to try it again until now and it still taste as good. Only problem was there were too much chips for anyone trying to keep to a low carb diet. Hopefully won't have to wait another 17 years to try again.

Absolutely excellent curry house. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend. Various different curries order within our group and everyone enjoyed.

The vibes were chef’s kiss – buzzing atmosphere, drinks flowing, and food that seriously delivered ☀️ ✨ Starters Fully Loaded Nachos 🧀🥑 Smothered in nacho cheese, guac, sour cream, salsa + optional pulled pork – and trust us, the pork is a must. Could’ve eaten trays of this. SFC Goujons 🍗🔥 Hand-coated in herbs & spices with a smoky BBQ dip – crispy, golden and dangerously moreish. Mains Halloumi SFC Burger 🍔🌶️ Herb-marinated chicken breast, Monterey Jack cheese, spicy chorizo, grilled halloumi & a sweet onion bhaji. Stacked high and bursting with flavour – with homemade fries & fresh salad on the side. Chipotle Mac & Cheese Burger 🍝🥓 Juicy chuck beef burger layered with creamy chipotle mac & cheese, crispy streaky bacon, and a crunchy onion bhaji. A full-on flavour bomb – rich, smoky and indulgent. What. A. Blooming. Feast. Every dish was a hit – generous, creative, and made to impress. If you’re near Llanelli, The Halfway Inn needs to be on your foodie hit list. 🍽️ We finally made it to The White Lion in Felinfoel for their Sunday carvery and WOW — why didn’t we come sooner?! 💷 £10.95 for a “small” (it’s definitely not small) and £13.95 for a large… honestly unreal value for how much food you get. 👶 Our little one (20 months) ate completely free – such a lovely touch for families! 🥦 The veg was fresh and cooked just right – not mushy, not hard, just spot-on. 🍞 The cranberry stuffing? Sweet, herby, and SO moreish. 🧄 The roasties had that golden crisp edge and soft fluffy inside — proper homemade feel. 🥩 Meat was carved fresh, still juicy and tender, with loads of options (we had turkey + beef). 🫕 And the gravy… thick, rich, full of flavour – real gravy, not the watery kind. 🍽️ It honestly felt like your Mam’s Sunday dinner but YOU get to build the plate. Comfort food at its finest. 🔥 And get this – the midweek Wednesday carvery is only £6.95?! That’s lunch sorted.

Stopped here for Breakfast early one Saturday morning. English breakfast and pancakes with fresh fruit, local honey and Greek yoghurt. Pot of tea for two. Less than £20! Lovely sunny patio, good service and quality food. The menu was varied! Would return and recommend. Only negative is the outdoor furniture was a little unstable.

We grabbed a takeaway from here last night- the whole experience was great, from an efficient pick up, we only waited for a few minutes- it was piping hot , freshly cooked. The food was delicious, and tasty- we were very impressed! Looking forward to our leftovers tonight!

What can I say - excellent in every way! I was staying here on my own for 5 nights while my husband was having a major operation at the hospital nearby. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and going the extra mile in sorting another nights' accommodation at short notice and helping me carry my luggage on departure. It means a lot when you're far away from home and a bit emotional! You should all be proud of yourselves -))

Popped in today for lunch with family. Lovely, welcoming pub really friendly atmosphere very clean. Food was absolutely gorgeous! Beautifully presented, so fresh and tasted amazing. We had never been before but absolutely will be back, nicest meal I have had anywhere in a long time, this place is definitely going to be our first choice from now on.

Cracking hotel/pub atmosphere. Close to the town centre. Excellent accommodation and lovely food. We will return.

I LOVE this place!! The food is absolutely excellent, basic homemade food done perfectly every time we have eaten here, and fantastic value for money. It's always busy when we have been, but the staff work tirelessly and the wait time is never long. However, the real beauty of this place, and what makes it truly special, is the way in which the staff care for their customers. This cafe provides a local community hub, and I have witnessed so many acts of kindness, patience and care from all of the staff to their regular customers. I have witnessed the staff, as busy as they are, always taking time to check in with, and have a chat and a laugh with, their customers. I have seen the staff take time to accommodate those with various disabilities, even assisting with food on one occasion. All of this is done without fuss, or an expectation of praise- ladies, you are all beautiful people, and I want you all to know it is is noticed and you warm my heart! You do an absolutely amazing job, and in a time in society when public services are dwindling, people like yourselves and places like your cafe are worth their weight in gold. Very special place.
