Lovely food and staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful

Chicken was over cooked along with the salmon both could have been used to sole your shoes pudding was good

Thursday/Friday seem good/busy nights here if that's what your looking for. The general company seemed decent and respectable. I only had the gammon but saying "only" makes it sound like a run of the mill meal when it's anything but that. I really enjoyed my time here. Will come again :)

What can I say!!! From start to finish everyone was AMAZING. From booking with Rob To our two waitresses, Victoria and Mari on the day. We booked for my sons and daughter in law’s gender reveal and the staff could not do enough. They had booked the whole conservatory just for us and would not let us clean up the confetti 🎊 NOTHING was too much They made our family meal so much more special. I can’t thank them all enough…… Oh and the food was AMAZING too Will definitely be back Thank you all for 10/10 service.

Ate here as a group of 10 for birthday celebrations. Have nothing but good things to say about it. Front of house staff were super helpful and on the ball. Food was delicious with a generous menu. The restaurant is very modern and clean. Plenty of parking. Would recommend to anyone!

Went here on Scarlet's match day. The pre and post game atmosphere was amazing. We had burgers which were incredible. Highly recommend going, eating and watching live sports.

Excellent food and service Have visited and eaten here three times now and the food and atmosphere do not disappoint. First and second visits were early evening (5-6pm) mid week in June 2024. The pub had just opened for service at this time so was reasonably quiet but I imagine that it soon gets busy during the evening/night Really good atmosphere and music from the get go. I highly recommend the loaded chips, I tried the following and both were excellent Katsu curry - Salt and pepper chicken topped with chilli, red onions, peppers and katsu curry sauce Chimichurri Steak - Flat Iron Steak, nacho cheese, Chimichurri and crispy onions. Next visit was between Christmas and New year 2024 for lunch. The restaurant had only just opened at midday yet soon filled up with several young families. Again food and service did not disappoint We had the Festive loaded nachos as a sharing starter and the Festive burgers for mains. My wife is vegetarian and was offered a choice of either vegan or vegetarian burger option. We thought this was really thoughtful of the team. Thanks again for lovely food and service.

Love the outside area which is dog friendly. Food ok. Booking system however is not good as you have to provide your card details and date of birth for some reason!

Didn't get to eat as kitchen was rammo due to quiz night, but really good atmosphere, decent Guiness and a solid beer garden. We'll worth a visit 👍🏻 Update - was quiet on Wed night so managed to get food, amazing 5*****

Great pub, good food and atmosphere

I booked a table for 3 last Saturday (forgot about the Rugby!). We were served quickly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was fab. The pub was busy and buzzing. Loved it.

Welcoming bar with a large outside area for evenings where the Welsh climate looks favourably on its people. Decent beers so an ideal post-work venue.

Apauling service, waited 1 hour to be asked if we would accept main meals prior to starter's as starter's order not put through. This group of 3 declined. Starter's finally served. Main meals followed, obvious that they had been cooked and kept under heat,one meal not edible, pork belly very dry sent back. One person had no main meal as not prepared to wait a further hour to be served. As a gesture drinks taken off bill. Birthday celebration evening out experience spoilt. WE WILL NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND. The business has the correct name The Halfway Pub & Dining, Halfway suits the service to customers perfectly. APAULING as already stated.

I haven't been to the Halfway for years, but was invited last night for a Hen Party/meal. The food was stunning, staff very friendly. I left around 9.45 and a young girl had started singing in the bar, I would have love to stay but I was having a lift. The Halfway is a complete package for a Saturday night out.

Really good food and great service! It's quite a busy, loud place and obviously a favourite for many people.

Had a large family gathering here last night, food was amazing, all came out piping hot. Service was fantastic. So grateful that they managed to fit us all in and accommodate all our different meals. Will definitely be coming again and recommending to everyone 😀

Hosted a baby shower in the conservatory. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the food was lovely and service was all round fantastic.

Food beautifully presented and tasty but not very warm. Informed waitress who took meals to be reheated and were returned shortly after but still only luke warm. Not a negative review but maybe look into why this happened, was it plated and left a while before being served? We ate it anyway and it was delicious, just would have preferred it hot.

Out of a party of 14 or so everybody loved their main meal so much, no one had a desert!

My visit is clouded by it being on Black Friday. Very packed and very loud. There was plenty of parking in the car park but I doubt anyone in there was driving.

We celebrated my son's 18th birthday at the Halfway. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options which were excellent. Cracking cocktails and lovely service.

SMALL MENU BUT ALL MEALS DELICIOUS, GREAT FRIENDLY STAFF AND STILL FEELS LIKE A OLD FASHIONED PUB.WILL BE BACK HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🙂👍

We had my daughters 16th birthday in the room upstairs. Rob, Sam and Sharon were attentive and we were looked after by Nia in the eveving. Thank you Nia for being awesome and looking after us all so well. Food was lush, as always. The room is perfect for a family get together and has been decorated beautifully. Thank you everyone at the halfway.

We have visited the Halfway in the past for drinks but hadn't had the time to eat so this was our first experience and we were not disappointed. We were greeted as soon as we entered the building and shown straight to our table. There was a great variety on the menu. Once we were ready to order a friendly waitress took our order and brought us drunks while we waited. Food was served in good time and we all cleared our plates. Unfortunately we were too full to sample the great desert selection. We will definitely be back to try again and we can't wait.

Went for Sunday Dinner, very well priced considering the portions and it was all lovely. Staff were very friendly. Definitely coming back

What a great venue. The management are amazing they cater for all. They have lots of events to enjoy for all the family. Wish there was a place like this closer to home. Love it and will be returning very soon.

Had Sunday lunch last week and was fantastic, great food & service was first class.

The food is so good here! The staff are all so welcoming and friendly. A proper pub atmosphere which is hard to come by these days!

Had a lovely time here tonight at a 50th birthday party. Bar staff were incredibly pleasant. It's a decent sized room and the drinks weren't horrifically priced. All in all, an excellent night.

Had the tikka loaded fries and they were amazing

Like the food and friendly service, lovely outside area. My only gripe is the online booking system, your card and personal details have to be given in order to book.

We had Sunday lunch here on the weekend as a family and the food was outstanding. Beautifully cooked, plenty of flavour, portions were generous and the tarragon flavour in the red cabbage, cheese sauce on the cauliflower and broccoli, paprika on the butternut squash tasted so nice. It’s lovely to see somewhere local using not so common flavours and ingredients on a Sunday lunch. The desserts were also delicious and the service…fantastic. Staff were so attentive and intuitive. My son wasn’t sure if he’d like the whisky caramel sauce on the ice cream and without me having to even ask. The waitress brought out a little pot of it for him to try first. You can’t train that kind of service. We were really impressed. We will definitely go back and I would suggest everyone go and give them a try.

Visited for Sunday lunch today, service was spot on and the dinner was very tasty with loads of vegetables accompanying the meat! Pudding options were fab and the presentation was also very good! So reasonable for two courses also. We would definitely visit again.

We had an afternoon buffet there this week (March 2023), and the food was beautiful. The staff there are friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The most recent takeover has certainly been good for the place as it's the best it's ever been, and it's always busy on weekends, which itself speaks volumes.

Came here for a family birthday meal yesterday. We all had different meals and everyone cleared their plates! Such a wide choice on the menu as well as the addition of different meals such as chicken katsu curry and penang curry which is a nice change. The service was excellent, the waitress who served us was very accommodating when my nephew wanted to change his meal. We would definitely eat here again, the atmosphere was great.

Myself, husband and 5 year old son went to the Half Way for a Sunday Roast and what an amazing roast we had. The roast portion size was more than we were expecting with an added size of veg to choose from for both us adults and a great portion for our son. To add to the experience, the staff were lovely, the pub setting was great and had an our door play area which my son loved. Cant wait for our return visit. Thank you
