What a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. I went with some friends and I was totally disappointed with the night. The front of house service was totally inadequate and the time it took to get food from the kitchen was unbelievably long. The food when it eventually came was good but the whole night was ruined by the hours we waited for service and food. This is not an exaggeration it literally took over an hour to get served. Totally understaffed and the front of house management either didn’t care or were oblivious to the diners who were waiting to be served. I Cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone and k would urge people to think again before booking a table. There are excellent restaurants in Llandudno but this is NOT ONE OF THEM. AVOID IT
The reason for this poor review is because of the poor service and attitude of the female server. I ordered and paid for 4 donuts and a drink. There were several people in the queue behind me, however the server proceeded to give the male customers who were behind me their order while i was left waiting , she even said when i moved forward for my order that they were not miine and reached over me to give them the donuts. i was the last person to get their order , there was no one left in the queue This service was dreadful, i was actually buying these for my special needs daughter otherwise i would have
requested my money back and walked away. Terrible service,!!! No respect from the server.
Picturesque low key venue. Super friendly staff and great food.
A hidden gem nestled up from the sea front with stunning views over the sea and Orme.
Originally visited for Sunday lunch and ended up booking our wedding here.
Would highly recommend a visit to see all of the unusual birds and farm animals, and to try a Sunday lunch or snack.
A great experience and will be returning very soon
Not called in for a while but now unlikely to ever call again. Seem to have changed the bread rolls used which used to be superb. They are now just revolting. The pie also just fell apart when trying to eat it. Very poor especially when there are so many alternatives in the area
I went today with my daughter who is autistic. My daughter was excited (as most children are when they see cake!) So she accidentally tapped the glass.case that the cakes were in. Admittedly it may have been quite hard but my special needs daughter struggles with her own strength. The lady in the shop was very rude which already made me feel awkward.
Then I told my daughter she couldn't have a milkshake, sandwich and cake (way too much sugar/food in one go!) So she struggled with my reasoning as many autistic children do. When I ordered the sandwich and a milkshake the lady went into the back to make.the milkshake and then proceeded to come out to say 'excuse me, no shouting inmy shop'! I was shocked and upset that anyone thought they could talk to my daughter this way and no concept that she may have special needs.
The customer behind me even said to her child, 'wow don't you play up or she will say that to you!'.
I stood there in shock and paid for my things to which the lady said to my child 'I hope you won't play up now that your mommy has brought you a milkshake'. This made me feel embarrassed and upset that she thought it was OK to shout at my child and infront of others.
Being a parent of an autistic child is hard enough without being made to feel worse by adults who should know better!
The sandwich was OK and the milkshakes definitely wasn't worth the money (tasted like nesquick with a bit of squirty cream and sprinkles on!).
Whoever owns this bakery needs to put thier staff on customer service training (especially after reading some of the previous reviews) and some training on how to interact with special needs customers.
I left the shop and burst into tears as I couldn't cope with the shock and embarrassment.
It would be nice if the owner replied to this review but I very much doubt they will!
Two of us went for breakfast and found it a bit disappointing mainly because the food wasn't particularly hot. Based on this experience I don't think we'll go again.
Food: delicious and big portions
Staff: friendly and very helpful.
We were asked what we like and how hot we would like. Gave us an extra portion of rice without charge
Enjoyed an exceptional afternoon tea yesterday with friends for an 18th birthday. Food was delicious. Plenty of everything including a proper, home made trifle like my mum used to make. Lovely little personal touches for the birthday girl. They made her feel special. The staff were so welcoming and friendly so thank you to them all.
Food is quite expensive for what is a very small portion. I had 5 mushrooms on my breakfast. That's 5 mushroom pieces not whole mushrooms. 2 table spoons of beans, half a tomato, 1 hash brown and 2 sausages. No toast. It cost just less than £9. There is much better choices in the town.
Cheap and awful ingredients, toasty price was £8.95 was told it would come with a nice salad and coleslaw and crisps, 1/4 of a leaf of lettuce 1 slice of cucumber and not even a full slice of tomato, spoon of coleslaw and about 4 crisps!
The bread was the cheapest you could buy in Asda the no frills one!
£28 for 2 toasties, wedges, a child’s beans on toast and a child glass of milk, no teas or coffee as we already had.
My daughter asked for mayonnaise it came in a thimble of a size she had to get up and ask for sauces in the beginning, when she asked for more due to the amount given they said are you sure?! The staff were miserable and didn’t ask if we needed a spoon for my grandson to eat his beans, hadn’t even been given a fork.
Wasn’t busy but could be a gold mine managed correctly plus food needs to be upgraded, Asda and a greasy cafe do better quality meals.
Extortionate prices, I wouldn’t mind pay that price for a lovey seeded toastie with a proper size salad
Stayed for 2 nights with a group of 12 golfers. The Dunoon offers excellent accommodation and great food. The atmosphere is welcoming and slightly old fashioned, but our group love it. Wide range of choice for breakfast, the same for dinner. The waiting staff are excellent, and very attentive. No request is too difficult. The small snug room at the front of the hotel is great for an after dinner drink and chat. Hotel is well positioned and has easy parking nearby. One highlight of our stay was when one of the waiting staff joined in our impromptu after dinner quiz. Unique and slightly quirky; we’ll be back next year. Thanks.
Bar service was garbage. Whilst waiting for barrel to be changed I was looking at the menu. When drink was brought over girl sloshed a load over menu I was reading and then over the table , she never said a word or even cleaned up, just looked at us and walked off. The beer itself was flat and nothing like it should of tasted like. Good knows why but we still ordered food. Pizza was ok. Jacket potato’s ok but burger was tasteless full of gristle and grease. Horrible.
