North Wales Ice Cream World in Conwy

Had the 3 scoop Sundaes they were lovely, lots of different choice of flavours, fabulous for a treat highly recommended

To be fair we ate in the Rose Tea room part of the same business and ice cream parlour. We are regular visitors to their sister company Garden World in Conwy where we enjoy excellent food and service regularly whilst shopping in the garden centre. This cafe looked the same, the menu is the same, but the service and the food served is totally different! Conwy is table service - pay when you leave. At Kinmel bay you queue and pay like a cafeteria - we had to queue and pay 3 times during the meal. The special menu was not displayed - you have to ask and it is shouted at you from the till. The description of the dishes is the same but the food comes out completely different to Conwy! Cheaper ingredients, sparser salad. It was all chaotic and unstructured. Not a relaxing time at all. The ice cream however is excellent and very good value.

Nice little dog friendly cafe…. But without the “ friendliness”…. Staff go above & beyond to completley avoid eye contact & to hopefully not serve you!!!… probably THE most unwelcoming place I’ve ever visited.

this was a visit to the rose tearoom which is connected. ordered two breakfasts and drinks. there was quite a long wait, during which i noticed a few people having problems. took about 20 minutes to arrive, nice enough but the beans were cold, and the sausage hadn't been quite right. staff very friendly BUT ... i watched one person who was cleaning a table with sprays etc. finish what was being done and then go and collect food form the hatch without washing her hands ... potentially dangerous i thought :(

When you compare this little gem to the extortionate prices of other ice cream parlours in the area this one blows them out of the water. It's a hidden gem in North Wales, I've been coming here for years, my Dad even helped build some of the original Garden Centre years ago but I haven't been since the last revamp. We came to get some veggie plugs for the garden and spotted the ice cream parlour, 48 flavours, all as tempting as each other. I had butterscotch and pecan and it was fantastic. I even had a tub of Scoops for the dog! But the best thing about this place is the price! For 2 single scoop waffle cones, a dog ice cream and a Fentimans bottles drink I paid £9 yes! £9! And it was just £1 more for an additional scoop! These guys have a goldmine on their hands, delicious ice cream, dog friendly, not overly busy, great prices and friendly staff... If I could give more than 5 stars I would do!

I did not visit the ice cream parlour side of this establishment but just the cafe which has inside and outside seating. Staff are busy but very pleasant. I have had a sandwich here which was delicious and have also tried the tea cake which was ok. Had pot of tea and friend a cappuccino, both hot and good. Would highly recommend for a light lunch. Bonus is they open on a Monday and many do not!

What a gem, lovely place to visit with plenty of choice. The ice cream was lovely and such a great choice. Highly recommend

Had cup of tea and scone and jam - poured tea into cup and it was just lukewarm - tried the scone which was quite rubbery - definitely won’t go back but the staff were all very friendly and helpful

Wonderful ice cream and not over priced at all. Beautiful display of a great number of flavours well presented and colourful.

I really can't go anywhere near this place without going for an ice cream. The choices and the flavours - LOL no wonder everyone stands there and dithers. Lovely waffle cones and prices are very reasonable for quality ice cream.

This place was an amazing find, only dropped in to see the aquarium stuff & was going to visit the tea house on same site but hey no need, they do everything here, gorgeous latte, lovely apple pie & amazing staff who are so friendly, I didn’t try an ice cream on this visit BUT I did the next day when I had to re - visit the aquarium, the ice cream is Parisselas of conwy fame & really you must try it, I think this is going to be a favourite place to go everything looks good - the pies & pasties, cakes etc & after trying some - oh yes” a big high 5 from me

Coffee and cake stop while shopping. The staff are the loveliest and most pleasant people. The coffee was good and the scones were really lovely and huge too. Great value if you a loyalty card!

Steve is a valuable staff member and needs to be recognised and acknowledged for all his hard work. He approached my mum and asked if she required assistance and was very helpful and informative and gave great advice on strawberries and tomatoes. Thank you it makes such a nice change, nothing was too much trouble! A truly valuable member of the team.

We went there to have a small family celebration..glad that we did...lots of choice , fantastic flavours...reasonably priced...nice seating both inside & out..friendly polite staff..would recommend

I absolutely love this place, it’s a definite favourite for myself and my daughter. The choice of icecream is amazing and the Parma violet flavour....... wow! Takes you straight back to childhood. Cakes are good too, with a small selection of gluten-free offerings even I don’t feel left out. A small suggestion would be to have all the gluten containing flavours together as the allergy list isn’t on show any longer. Other than that Peruvian chocolate and Parma violet are top of my list.

We visited, as we do about once a month, for an ice cream and a chill out. So many flavours to choose- we try different ones each time. I then chose some herbs for the garden. Unfortunately, at the till, a man was queuing at the other till, and was asked to move to our till as there was a problem. He was very rude with the staff, asking would he have to go to the back of the line. We offered him to go in front of us-which appeared to send him into a rage. We paid, went back to the car to put our plants, then were going back in for a look around the shop. On the way back in, the man was coming out, and actually took a swing at me and insulted my wife. The staff were brilliant. They took us to the ice cream parlour, gave my wife a coffee, and checked to make sure we were ok. They checked on us twice more before we left. 10 out of 10 for customer service- we'll be back.

As locals we probably visit once a month and the Ice Cream is absolutely delicious always!

My friend took me here for an ice cream on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were helpful. Choosing 2 scoops from the 48 flavours was tricky! I went for creme brulee and lemon cheesecake. Wow, 2 good scoops in a waffle cone... Delicious. I highly recommend.

Went for some specific items and found them, really impressed with the range of gifts etc. Went for a coffee and cake, had coffee just as I wanted and enjoyed a freshly baked scone with cream and jam. Very helpful cafe staff.

Today we visited father Christmas with my daughter and niece, this was really well organised, such fun for all the family, and my daughter and niece both loved it. This cost £18 for my daughter, wife and myself.

Been here a few different occasions and the staff are always excellent had a bite to eat in the cafe there all very nice they do sausage rolls, pasties, cakes, teas and coffees the ice cream we haven't tried yet which we will do next time they look great! Lots of different flavours the gift company in there is very good they have some lovely items and at brilliant prices, and a good range of items throughout the shop,

Ice Cream in October shouldn’t work should it? But there is no way we could go away for the weekend and not indulge, we drove past on the way to our planned day and vowed that should we have time on the return we would stop and visit. I of course made sure we had time.

Wow, what a selection of very scrummy ice creams.. 48 flavours. Portions and prices are excellent as ice cream seems to be very overpriced for one scoop elsewhere but not here. Very nice and friendly, helpful staff. Also baby friendly. Very clean, bright cafe and interesting tropical fish centre. My little granddaughter loves it. Do go.. Its lovely.

We spent a lovely hour here looking around the garden centre. We then bought some of their delicious ice cream. There are so many different flavours that's it's a hard choice. £2 for 2 big scoops. The staff were lovely.

Been a few times and the ice cream is lovely. But not very organised with orders. Maybe need to think about hiring more staff as two isn’t enough. Myself and my partner ordered a Sunday and waffle. Partner received and finished his before mine arrived leaving me not wanting mine anymore and when it did arrive wasn’t satisfied. Waffles were not fresh just partly warmed store bought. Older lady was apologetic which we appreciate.

This is my second visit here for waffles and ice cream, and both times visiting at 10.30am when the café opens. Today, 21/07/18 there was a young lady that appeared to be opening up on her own, and what a credit to the place she is. I wish I got her name as she handled the morning serge of people exceptionally well. She was so apologetic for the wait, which really wasn't an issue as we could see she was on her own, she was clearly rushing to get orders to tables as quickly as possible. When we were given our orders, they were given with a smile and another apology. They were worth the wait, absolutely gorgeous, and a fair price for the quality and quantity. Will I be here for a third visit...….definitely!

I have visited Ice Cream world a few times now, first visit was good, enjoyed the ice cream and the service was fairly good but then the last two times I’ve visited I’ve just felt the service was quite poor. Not all the staff to be fair but there was a young girl with tattoos there (only way I could describe her sorry) and it was just like everything was too much trouble. I even heard a customer order 3 lattes and she replied “well you’re going to have to wait, I have more orders first”. I just think that could have been handled in a bit more of a polite way. So overall the atmosphere was a bit deflated. I feel like even when it’s not busy in there, the staff make it feel like it is (bare in mind, I don’t mean everyone!)

Visit here regularly and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience! Amazing range of ice creams, lovely staff and some great products on offer. Well worth a visit with the kids or just if you like a nice ice cream!

Visited today really enjoyed walking around the garden centre, good quality products at reasonable prices, plant were healthy looking. We had to try the ice cream before we left we were not dissapointed the flavours are awesome and very true to what the name suggests, we will be back. We thought the ice cream was sensibly priced. The staff on the counter were lovely and a credit to the business.

We visited today and stopped for coffee and cake. Coffee was lovely. Cake a little dry but Ok, service was really good.

Visited specifically for the ice cream and was not disappointed in arrival.

We have been to North Wales Garden World on many occasions but since it was taken over by The Gift Company it has been transformed.

Called today with two of our grandchildren. They were spoiled for choice. Unable to decide on a particular flavour they were given a little sample to help them decide. A nice touch and there was no pressure to hurry up and decide. Lovely service from happy serving staff.

Wow! So many flavours! Where do you start??? The Peruvian dark chocolate is heavenly.

Visited today and the ice-cream really is fantastic. We are so spoilt for choice so the answer to that problem will be to visit again - as soon as possible!! The mango was the best ice-cream I have ever tasted!! This is a real little gem. Thank you for your excellent friendly service too.

I recently visited North Wales Ice Cream World and experienced amazing service along with a fantastic range of ice creams, and great tasting coffee. Despite being extremely busy, everyone waiting was dealt with promptly and in a friendly and courteous manner.

Visited here with my mother in law and husband in May 2017. She had told us all about the ice cream options with 48 different flavours!
