We stay in Cemaes Bay several times a year as we love the village and we finally got to sample a pizza at the beach. We've aways seems to miss it or we are there out of season. We went early in the week when we saw it was open and checked opening times etc and had a look at the menu. First time we ordered chips and coffees at lunch, both of which were lovely. My mum said it was the best coffee she had all week. We then tried a pizza on the friday night and took it back to the cottage - goats cheese, red onion, balsamic and it was gorgeous! Cooked perfectly with just the right amount of goats cheese. Plenty of seating if the weather permits and parking is available to eat in the car and enjoy the view. Highly recommended stop for a coffee or something to eat, with friendly staff.
My daughters had a small breakfast each and I ordered a jacket potato with chicken and bacon. Superb food. Was freshly cooked. Nice big portions was the nicest scrambled egg I've tasted. Waitress was lovely made pleasant conversation the gentleman who was cooking who may have been the owner was very pleasant as well. Shall be back to try the breakfast
Excellent food and service at a reasonable price in the 1884 restaurant. Great views over the Menai Straits and lovely to go for a walk in the meadow opposite after the meal. Matt provided very good service.
Thank u Susanna, for your very helpful service and delicious salad boxes , the other day >>> u are credit the Squires Company , for your dedication , attention to detail , and hard-work .
Was lucky enough to stumble upon this place when I stopped for gas in the area and by far this was the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had! It was so good I went back the next day. Definitely worth going out of your way for!
The best meal I have had in a restaurant ever.... Period.
Staff were great, talked me through the traditional dishes . I chose the hanging marinated steak.
On the first bite my mouth exploded !
I can not put into words what it tasted like....
You just need to try it.
Do not go anywhere else in ....
Also brilliant atmosphere, everyone was smiling, chatting and enjoying some of the best food I have tasted in my near 50 years on this planet!
Booking is essential
I walked in at 6.10 pm and there was one table being served....
Come 6 .30 it was packed !
I challenge you to be disappointed!
Dropped by Old Stores Motorbike Café for the MARK - Motorbikes Acts of Random Kindness charity launch, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to host it. The team was incredibly welcoming and supportive, making sure everyone felt right at home. It’s clear they’re passionate about the biking community and always up for backing a good cause.
The food? Absolutely lush—proper, hearty meals that hit the spot after a long ride. But what really made this place stand out was the hidden gem out the back—I won’t spoil the surprise, but it’s definitely worth checking out for yourself!
Can’t wait to go back, whether it’s for another event or just an excuse for a ride and a great meal. If you haven’t been yet, put this café on your list—you won’t regret it!
Dined here a few years ago , same ownership. Average food at expensive price ! I had stir fried beef and peppers £31 and my wife had a duck dish £27 which was over cooked and a watery sauce . Shame really but it didn’t meet with our expectations from previous visit when it was a lot better . So overall rather underwhelming and expensive. A rip off !!
No vamos a volver. Hay un montón de lugares en un radio de unos metros que dan relación calidad-precio.
Great communication, car park on site with electric charger. Room was very big, comfy bed with arm chairs, large bathroom, great breakfast in morning. Would highly recommend! Great stay and would definitely return
The two male owners are the most delightful people; friendly, efficient & welcoming hosts. The ambience is first-class, & breakfast was fantastic. This is a gem. Parking is tricky, but with some jockeying can be accomplished quite easily. We had a brilliant stay there.
