Lovely fresh bakery, the pasties were some of the best I’ve had in ages and absolutely knock Greggs out of the water. Lovely baked items too - I wish they weren’t all plastic wrapped though as this is terrible for the environment.

On holiday at the Chirk caravan site and walked into Chirk for something for lunch, found this bakery and the most delicious Eccles Cakes, so buttery and moist, also bought the cinnamon rolls for breakfast for the following day also delicious, definite thumbs up from us.

NKThe Boat doesn’t disappoint. Although the day was cool and wet so we couldn’t enjoy the wonderful outdoor seating by the river, the cosy dining room and the warm service more than compensated. Food delicious (crispy beef salad, prawn starter and crème brûlée all excellent.) Will be back soon!

4, Church StreetI've been coming to this café for years. I usually sit outside with my old dogs. It's a perfect quiet location with a view of St Giles. The staff are the loveliest. It's like visiting your favourite auntie. If I was more generous I'd recommend the orange cake which is the zestiest freshest cake in Wrecsam. But I won't in case there's none next time I go. 😁
