Travelling today from North Wales to Cardiff to visit our son - we decided to stop somewhere different for something to eat. Found this hidden gem. Lovely atmosphere, welcoming staff and a really tasty breakfast!! We will definately be stopping here again!

This is a beautiful pub tucked away off the road. It has parking very close too. We felt so welcomed when we arrived and the ladies were lovely. We both had the rump steak which was AMAZING! It was a delicious meal to look at and to eat. Once again, the ladies looked after us so well and we would definitely visit again next time we're in Wales. PS. Did you look up the Flumps?!

Fabulous cafe in a beautiful setting. We often come here when we visit the Elan Valley. The food is excellent, lovely coffee and cakes. Staff are friendly, professional with service with a smile.

We were passing through Rhayader and stopped off as a group of ten of us. The staff were brilliant at managing to fit us in without prior booking. The service was very quick and staff were attentive to our drinks orders. Food was all brilliant - especially the hunters chicken loaded fries!

A one star review may seem somewhat mean, but in this case it is not. We travelled for nearly three hours to get to Rhayadar for a few days away. We love Wales and my wife's brother lives in the town. We arrived on Monday early afternoon and as we entered the town saw a car parking space outside Ty Morgans so stopped for a cup of coffee and something to eat. I opened the door and approached the counter. I was 'greeted' with a silent stare by one of the bar staff who was cleaning a glass. It was a bit like a western movie when the piano stops playing as the bad guy enters the bar... I politely asked 'are you open?'- which was a silly question as quite clearly it was open- the door was not locked, the lights were on, and their was no sign saying closed. The lady simply starred back at me unsmiling and said, 'YES'. Welcome to Rhayadar. I'm not easily offended but I wouldn't have spoken to a dog that way. As we left three young guys also entered and were told the same. They left and looked equally unimpressed. The owners of Ty Morgans need to train their staff on a few matters. 1) When you are closed, turn off most of the lights and lock the door. 2) Display a sign saying 'Closed' 3) In you event of forgetting to do 1) or 2) and someone enters the establishment wanted to spend money then train your staff to at least treat the potential customer with respect and not like something they've trod on the sole of their shoe. Thankfully there was a lovely cafe opposite with polite, helpful staff who served us coffee and lovely food. They will be getting a 5 star review from us 👍

Awful. The service was terrible, over priced food, they got the order wrong. Meals came out at separate times, my husband has finished his before I even had mine (had to ask for it). Cash only, and very adamant you pay when order. Staff in their own world, no customer service at all. Wish I never gave them £35 of my money!

A very retro place, the food was great and so were the kebabs. My son said the kids meal was very good. We didn’t have to wait long for the food and there were a diverse selection of foods, plus it’s open late. All in all, everything’s about this place is fantastic and all of us would recommend it!
