Came here for a quick breakfast with my partner. I had a gluten free small Welsh - minus the sausage but extra bacon instead. The gluten free toast was really tasty! My partner has a normal diet and had the full Welsh breakfast. We had a mocha and cup of tea to drink which were both delicious too. Really great place and would come again if we visit the area in the future! My partner's Full Welsh breakfast is pictured - I was too excited to eat it to remember to take a photo!

Great little place with an amazing atmosphere and really friendly staff. Young brunette ( sorry I didn't get your name) was the best server and couldn't do enough to help us! Only problem is occasionally the wait .. now we don't mind waiting for good food and it was all cooked to order and absolutely delicious , but at times the drinks were arriving well after we had finished eating or not at all.

What a great find whilst spending a Bank Holiday in Rhayader. Love the community feel with alternative food options including vegan and gluten free. Stone baked pizza was wonderful, staff were great, super friendly. A lovely relaxed evening with good food. The puds were amazing too, don't miss out on the lemon and blueberry polenta cake, lush!

What a little gem The Lost Arc is. Had two lovely meals…one Sunday lunch, a tasty nut roast with roasted vegetables. The other was Friday pizza night, the best pizza I’ve ever had! Garlic base vegan pizza, really thin crisp base, just delicious. We had a side salad to accompany which was stunning. Fresh homemade food and really reasonable prices. The atmosphere is great too and the staff really friendly. Seems like a great community feel, quite bohemian. Loved it!

We ate here 3 times on our weekend in Rhayader. Lunch and breakfast x 2. Their salad is beautiful, others had Welsh Rarebit and said it was excellent. Smoothies are delicious, and I hear their coffee is good. Highly recommend eating here.

Everything was perfect. The food was great, service was friendly and our dog was more than welcome. I've recently been put on a Migraine diet and finding somewhere that has more than one option for me for breakfast/lunch is hard. Here I had so many options including smoothies that avoid citrus, banana and pineapple. 100% recommend for anyone with dietary needs. Wish we didn't live so far away!

We were meeting friends here to travel onwards to the Kite feeding Centre. This is a quirky cafe but dog friendly with enough space to accommodate nine people at a table. The food was fine and four vegetarians managed to find something to eat. Parking was a bir of a problem but somehow we all got sorted. I had a salad bowl with a lump of hoummous but nothing to put it on. Quite a lot of the group had Welsh Rarebit and seemed very happy with their food. I would not go out of my way to visit this place again but if you find yourself here and manage the parking you will be ok. PS We had three dogs with the group and they were well looked after by the cafe. Some leftover sausages came our way which made the dogs very happy!

Love this place! Great atmosphere & interesting selection of cakes. Vegan options are to be treated with caution though. A bit hit & miss but other cakes are consistently good. Coffee is excellent & pizza nights on Fridays are well worth booking in for. Sunday lunches are also good. Apparently the breakfasts are superb but I’ve yet to try them myself. A mellow, chilled and friendly cafe tucked away o outskirts of town definitely always the cafe of my choice.

The cafe itself is very quaint and has a nice vibe about it, the staff were super friendly however the biggest let down was the wait, we only ordered two coffees and two slices of cake but had to wait 15/20 minutes for them to arrive. It is also very reasonably priced.

A welcome find whilst most other places seemed to be closed. However, disorganised inddor seating arrangement which meant we were sat by the front door which didn't close properly. Other option was to sit on an indoor balcony which was also freezing. Food was very average and low quality ingredients. Bacon was hard and sausages were cheap. Wouldn't return.

I’ve commented on another post that perhaps Rhayader is not quite how it sells itself but this place was great. Tucked away on the side of town towards Elan visitor centre. A bit higgledy piggledy inside but that is part of the charm. I had a rarebit on a doorstep that was good. The side salad was amazing, I have never finished a side salad before, beetroot braised with apple plus fennel, so much care has gone into this. My wife had peanut butter on toast, tasted homemade, excellent whatever. Great cup of tea too, and lovely staff, top marks.

Actually I am loath to write a rave review, for the sole reason it will be even harder to get in. We booked for Sunday lunch and quite frankly it was the best we've had since before COVID! The beef tasted of BEEF, proper burnt bits and the flavour of a grass fed and nurtured animal. The veggies were perfect, cooked well and no cloggy artery thickening sauce on the cauli. Service friendly and helpful, oh and the pud was just right, a pear and apple crumble. Delicious coffee too. What's not to like. Thank you Arc

My family and I came for a visit to try the much revered Sunday lunch on offer at The Lost Arc Café. We were not disappointed. Most of us opted for the wood-fired slow cooked pulled pork which was absolutely melt in the mouth, smothered in proper pork Gravy. I must say the crackling was out of this world, beautifully crunchy and not too salty - a resounding murmur of approval echoed round the table as we all tucked in. My sister in law had the healthy salad bowl for which the chef came out to enquire how she wanted the dish tailored to her tastes and recommended a fabulous pomegranate syrup which complimented the meal beautifully. The portion sizes were spot on, leaving you perfectly satisfied and most importantly with room for pudding. On offer was a rather striking sounding strawberry, pineapple and coconut Crumble for which 2 of us opted with cream. Beautifully warm and inventive flavours made it a real treat. There were various other cakes, all of which vegan much to our amazement. I went in for a classic Welsh Bara Brith with a good helping of butter which was delicious. The others enjoyed a rather beautiful jaffacake cake! Accompanied with a silky smooth milk ice cream. The staff couldn't have been more attentive, very helpful with their recommendations and made every effort to ensure a delightful experience. We will be back soon.

Great ambience, pleasant and attractive decor and environment and a 5 star service The bar maids - Jess and Lucy are friendly, a pleasure to chat with, and not only barmaids but cocktail connoisseurs that make a great tipple! Fabulous drinks, fast service, and a pleasurable environment to be in. Not to mention - even though the place is pleasant enough with no trouble - the security there does a fab job in helping keep the place run smoothly even though he looks like an extra from Vikings. Well done to all the lounge! Definitely reccomed a visit here for a nice evening out :)
