The other chippy near to Tesco gets mad busy, so go to this one for faster service as it is on the edge of town and far less hectic.

We usually (well always) just drive though Llandrindod but driving back from Cardiff I was feeling tired and thought it best to stop for a coffee (and possibly an ice cream). I knew about the lake, it's just a minute off the A483 but hidden away, and thought there might be an ice cream or coffee available so let's give it a go. Well they had both 👍🏼 There were quite a few people around and I saw a family with ice cream. Marks out of 10 ? Eleven 👍🏼That'll do for me. They directed us to the shop. I had triple peach and Jaffa cake flavours along with a nice flat white. The ice cream was very good, Mario's. I've never tried Mario's before (I'm more a Joe's man) but I'll certainly be trying it again. Very pleasant staff. We sat overlooking the lake, watching the wildlife and families enjoying themselves on paddle boats, there was even a paddle boarder. The wife wanted to buy bird seed. No, I can't deal with all these swans at the moment, there was a lot of them😀 It was great, we'll definitely stop here again. As we left I was looking at the view, near to a board that went across to a small boat. A young lady working there said "I'll make you walk that plank in a minute" 😂 Now I AM coming back.

We ate here a few times while on holiday in the area. They have a good menu although prices are on the high side. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Portions and the food were good but I think the restaurant is let down by the service. The staff were mainly unfriendly. We were a group of six and if you arrived first they did not offer to get you a drink. We had two children in our party and they only provided crayons etc if you asked. The food took quite a while to come even when there was only us in the restaurant! Once you had the food the staff disappeared - nobody asked how it was or it you needed more drinks etc. When you finished, again, nobody appeared for ages and once you asked for the bill that also took ages. On one visit we had to make three requests for the bill including going up to the bill in the end to ask for it. This place could be excellent if the staff were more friendly and attentive.

The staff weren't very friendly or welcoming. £8.20 for an indifferent cappucino and a flat white made by a machine rather than a barista was a rip-off. I won't be going back.

Travelled from south wales on our only child free weekend to recieve a terrible service! Arrived at 3:30 and the hot tub was freezing cold from the moment we got there! Tried to blame us for taking the lid off that it wasnt warm! Bed was unmade with no bottom sheet. Did not recieve an email with terms and conditions about bbq’s on the grass which id say having signs for people to see no bbq’s on the grass would be more obvious! Tried to fine us 100£ for the grass and 200£ for leaves being in the hot tub when i dont understand how you can avoid that if your in the hot tub most of the day/night with trees surrounding your pod! Just another excuse! We didn’t get the chance to use the hot tub! Filled us with excuses from the moment we got there promised the hot tub would be warm by 9 and then it went to theyll empty and refill with warm water instead, but that didnt happen! Also ignored any repsonsibility to answer our questions on when the hot tub would be useable! Could have saved ourselves £120 and stayed at home in our garden! Our third stay there and thats our thanks! Would not recommend or return!

We came to this cafe on the recommendation of a friend who comes here regularly on the way to Aberystwyth. We had 2 vegetarian breakfasts which were hot and tasty and a very good portion. We got 3 vege sausages, hash browns, beans, cooked tomatoes, eggs, toast and mushrooms. I altered my brekkie, removing the mushrooms and asking for scrambled egg which they did without any problems. Each brekkie was just £5.50 which we felt was very good value. The server was friendly and the cafe had a nice atmosphere. It is a basic no frills cafe but delivered what we had been told which was very tasty and good value breakfast. We were happy and would definitely go back. Especially at that price!

Stayed here for my birthday in March of 2020 and I have to say although rooms extremely large the establishment is below standard. Wallpaper coming off the walls and bloating tiles in bathroom. Left my room unattended and had my wallet stolen. I reported it to establishment management, but nothing came of it, was told that it was my property and I shouldn't of left mmy room unattended.

Booking hadn’t been written down when we arrived. Waited 2 hours for main food which meant the people who didn’t have starters sat hungry for 2 hours. When it did come it was a mediocre dry burger. Had to pay for anything else to arrive on the plate. Over cooked fries cost £6.50 to eat with the burger. The place was empty so no excuse for how long it took. Empty on a Saturday night speaks volumes. Horrified at the cost for 2 adults and a toddler who just had a £5 dish of pop corn chicken. Never again!
