Lakeside Cafe in Powys

First time visit to Lakeside lovely location, took the dog & went to the cafe sat on the Balcony & ordered Bacon sandwich, toast & a pot of tea for two! Tea arrived Tepid, waited an age for the food....drank the pot of tea whilst waiting!!! Sandwich was cold & my toast was still white!!! We asked them to reheat the sandwich & toast the bread, it came back slightly better but they gave me brown bread without even asking me!! The photo is the 2nd time of toasting!!!!!!Very poor service,quality of food wasn’t good either. Very Disappointed. Won’t be going back for food or a drink here.

I have been to the Lake on many occasions now with Llandrindod being my closest town. Before the takeover by the new owners, the lake felt like a bit of a greasy spoon serving bog standard shop prepared meals and in all honesty was not somewhere I frequented but there has been a massive improvement in the quality of the food and atmosphere since then and I’ve been back on numerous occasions, since being recommended the roast dinners.Throughout Lockdown they have offered takeaway roast dinners as well as pizzas both of which you can instantly tell and taste as fresh home cooked meals.The roast dinners are a particular favourite in my household with a good array of choices of meat and delicious vegetables (which aren’t cooked to the point of oblivion!!) I also went to the Caribbean theme night and was blown away by the food! We had a bit of everything and couldn’t fault any of the dishes, the goat curry went down a storm! They were all served in a timely manner and the waiting staff were pleasant.The atmosphere was great and all tables were distanced appropriately and in line with local restrictions. We felt a little bit of normality attending and were delighted that the owners and the chef came out to see everyone at the end of the night. I will definitely be going to the next themed night, can’t wait to hear what it will be. Thanks to all for a wonderful night that gave us back a little bit of normality.

We called here today after walking around the lake for a coffee. We didn't feel that safe, the tables were NOT distanced 2mtrs apart, there was nothing between the tables separating them. The woman sat behind me was nearly touching my chair. Some of these tables should be taken out or the other room opened up so a gap can be left between tables. This is such a shame, we have been here loads of times however we won't be visiting here again until it's safe to.

The location is very pleasant but that was as good as it got. Service disappointing and slow, coffee ... less said the better.

The lake is really special, we found it by chance. The dragon sculpture in the water is spectacular and the views are so nice, especially this time of year as the leaves start changing. We stopped off at the café for some hot chocolate and watched people feed the ducks and swans. Very peaceful.

Lovely cafe, right by the lakeside where you can enjoy the stunning view and watch the birds on the lake. Food was great, friendly staff and good Covid measures.

The food was fantastic with great prices and the service was brilliant! Really friendly staff and so helpful.

Lovely drive to Llandrindod Lake on a sunny day.Thought perhaps we would have a light meal or tea & scones.Lakeside Cafe beautiful decorated. Looks very inviting. Until you meet the staff whom had no interest in serving us or others in case they might have to put some effort in!Only tea or coffee on offer even though there was a newly printed menu taped to the cafe internal doors.As for the toilets an absolute disgrace and health risk to all. Toilet floors were flooded with fluid, I wont go in to further details! Such shame a beautiful setting, shame could be a gold mine!Managed get an icecream from downstairs lakeside gift shop eventually, a not a long queue, but with 3 staff not knowing about teamwork or knowing who's job was who's.We will return again to the lake but will will take a picnic with us.

Lovely lake to visit if you just want to sit upstairs in the cafe and watch the world go by or watch the birds go about their business or have a nice stroll all around. Lovely loch Ness type feature in the middle of the lake. Nice cafe with a lot of choice of food or drink.

As part of a coach trip we made a short stop here for coffee and a comfort break which they were aware of as the organiser had phoned up in advance. Unfortunately, they were not equipped for a group of 30+ people, the service was very slow and with only one female loo, the queue was quite long! The 30 minute stop, had to be extended to nearly an hour. The menu was limited, no toasted teacakes, but the cakes looked good. On the positive side, the 2 people serving were very friendly, and the setting is delightful.

Well you know the food cant be great when my food obsessed doberman wont even eat it. Nice place to sit and enjoy the view which saved it form being 1 star

We were told about this place by local person, it is hidden away but what a find! Cafe food is really good. Has daily special board. I enjoyed chicken burger with really good coleslaw. Children enjoyed their panini . Nice and clean, staff very pleasant and friendly. Views across the lake are lovely with a spectacular dragon fountain which the children loved. Good place to eat and lovely walking and playing areas for children to let off steam

We wanted a relaxed breakfast, we got it perfectly. Plenty of parking, took our dog onto the balcony which was a bonus. Quality service food. Toilets were in need of a clean and a bit of tlc

Great to sit in balcony and look across the lake - allows dogs on the balcony which is definitely a bonus for us.

While on a recent visit to Llandrindod Wells we visited The Lakeside Cafe for coffee. It's about a 10 minute walk out of the centre. We were very, very lucky with he weather and were able to sit out overlooking the lake. Fabulous. Tea and coffee were fine and teapot was topped up with no issues. Cakes looked amazing as did the food. If The Lakeside had served wine we would have stayed for our lunch but I can understand why they don't. I would definitely visit The Lakeside Cafe again.

Beautiful spot. Great food, simple but cooked well. Family friendly. Closes in the afternoon as do most places in the town.

I have known Llandrindod Wells Lake all my Life It has turned into a Dirty Lake Dirty Seats Dirty Litter Bins The Lake Has been so Run Down its a disgrace for for Holiday People to see Put it down to PCC Was such A Lovely SPA TOWN not anymore

We made our yearly visit to Llandod and we always come here for lunch. Food was lovely. Only 2 slight criticisms, you could do with having some plastic cups, it was stressful my 3yr old having a glass. Also the toilets are dingy and had no loo roll.

After having a stroke 2 years ago, I didn’t want to go out and was very stressed, but after my husband said I should at least try to go for a little walk at the lake, it became my ‘happy’ place and my reward was always a coffee and cake after my walk at the Lakeside Restaurant. We now go there daily and if I ever feel anxious, we go to the lake and sit and watch the swans and ducks from the restaurant - it is truly relaxing and the coffee, cakes, lunches and Sunday roasts are all fantastic! The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful - and we get to chat to some of the other regulars!

Stopped for a coffee and snack whilst in the area for a few days. Really enjoyed both, sat on the terrace overlooking the lake.Reasonably priced.

Really nice Panini with Chicken, Bacon & Cheese and side salad. Really nice on a lovely warm day. Would recommend this restaurant for meals.

Dropped in for Sunday lunch after reading TA reviews. Excellent carvery, very tasty and good value for money. Definitely recomment eating here and looking out at the dragon in the lake

Tidy lake with nice walk around a good kids play area near by and it says pedal boats in summer so good place for a stroll and sit when sunny 👍

After our first visit back in the summer, we now come here regularly for lunch or just a cup of tea and cake. The food and service are always great. We have just enjoyed a lovely lunch followed by some homemade cake. We will have to walk a couple laps of the lake to burn off the calories!

We ordered a light lunch and after over half an hour noticed that people who ordered after us had received their meals. When we enquired we were told that our order hadn't been sent to the kitchen! We then waited another 15 minutes before it arrived. How difficult is it to make sure that every order is sent straight through to the kitchen?! Won't be returning...

One of our favourite stopping off places when we travel between north and South Wales. Just off the square in Llandrindod overlooking the lake. This is a place for a stop offering a choice of meals and ligh5 snacks in a super setting.

We went there for lunch. Ordered food to eat outside. Clearly told the waitress I was sitting downstairs outside. She brought my sister's food, which she was not happy with. She said that it was cold and wanted a refund. Meanwhile I was waiting for my food for over 30 minutes. I explained that I was diabetic and needed to eat. I also asked for a refund and was refused. At one of the kitchen staff was shouting over the balcony don't come back and do not bring your yappy dogs back. In my 65 years I have never been treated so bafly.

We ordered and explained we were sitting outside downstairs. They said that's fine. When they brought out one person's food they got funny about where we were sitting as it was outside their main seating area. Then at the same time another waitress flew out of the upstairs doors to the balcony and started shouting at us. She was extremely rude and told us to never come back.

We arrived just after 2.30 and the cafe should have stopped serving lunch. They went out of their way to get us a sandwich platter and cook some chips. The food was freshly prepared and very good quality. Beautiful setting with outdoor balcony where we could sit with our dog.

We arranged a meet up with the wife's friend who she had not seen for nearly 40 years and decided the Lake cafe was a great spot, we only had coffee as we were going back to the wife's sisters for lunch. The views of the Lake and surrounding area are stunning in the sun and extra delight is to see the Dragon water feature working. Staff are pleasant and quick to serve.

Lovely view and place food is really nice it was child friendly they had a box of toys that has now disappeared so I feel bad taking my two year old as he doesn’t always sit down

We chose to eat a weekday lunch here and were not disappointed. My partner had been to the cafe many years previously, and was keen to see if it had changed much. The former downstairs suite is now a shop, and the cafe has been extended, so it had changed a little bit....

We had a wonderful Afternoon Tea here. Our first visit. After a little confusion with our booking, the staff very quickly made a few changes with no trouble. The china laid out on the table was beautiful and my two daughters aged 9 and 5 really felt like Princesses. We were served a platter of very fresh and tasty finger sandwiches with very appealing fillings. They also bought over a two tiered stand of extremely fresh cakes. We had coffee cake, carrot and walnut cake, chocolate and mandarin cake, welsh cakes, profiteroles, fruit meringues. We especially liked the carrot cake with the real topping and the crunchy and chewy meringue. As well as this, we were served a scone platter with all yhe condiments. We couldn't believe how fresh and incredibly tasty the food was. We all enjoyed a few cups of real tea. Our girls especially loved this. This cost just £10 per adult and £5 per child.

its in a lovely setting but let down with the lack of care with the surrounding areas, council could improve it no end if kept tidy, as some parts of the main town, but very convenient, nice cafe and looking forward to moving to LLandrindod this month then we can explore more

we love coming here! from coffee dates to lunch by the lake we visit here for allsorts of purposes and always met with a friendly face and delicious options! great coffee and atmosphere with plenty of choice if we are having lunch! generous portions too!

It's clean and nicely decorated with a range of beverages, snacks and food. I've been twice recently once for lunch which wasn't fantastic ( I had jacket potato with coronation chicken and it was quite dry) then most recently with the whole family and a small dog. We had drinks on the balcony. The view over the lake is beautiful and when the paddle boats are running you can people watch as well as bird watch. Fab location no idea why it isn't licensed and open in the evening. Gets busy and it is counter service so you may have to queue. There's quite a few staff but just one till.

Visited here for lunch with my wife. Place was very busy and despite warnings on the menu that it could be as long as 30 minutes before your meal could be served, it was less than fifteen. We opted for the scampi and ham salad dishes. Both were excellent. The view across the lake was very pleasant. I did note that because there was only a single toilet each for male and female that there was queuing for each at frequent times. I think that given the size of the establishment, there should be larger facilities to accommodate this need. That said, The Lakeside is definitely worth a visit and is very reasonably priced.

Gorgeous whatever type of day it is. We had 1/2hr on the dragons and was exhausted after. £13 for 4 people is good value and good fun. The staff are very friendly also.

Called in for refreshments after a play in the park. Staff were friendly. I can recommend the carrot cake.

Whilst on holiday we visited the lakeside. We walked round the lake, then visited the cafe. We sat outside as we had our dog with us. Me and my husband had the chicken wraps, mine with mayo and my husband had the chilli one. They were lovely. The cakes looked good too however we didn’t try these. We went back for a second time, looking forward to the chicken wraps again, only to be told they stop serving food at 2.30 which was very disappointing. Would totally recommend this place. It’s lovely to walk round and the position of the cafe, is in the second floor, so you over look the lake. Would of given it 5 stars but due to the food stopping at 2.30 I gave it 4

When the family come to visit it is a must to take them to the Lakeside for refreshments on the balcony overlooking the lake before the youngest members of the family go to the shop downstairs for seed to hand-feed the ducks, geese and swans (they don't mind their hands being nibbled!). Sunday lunch at the Lakeside is good value with the same magnificent views over the lake and can be recommended.

A local, we called in for afternoon tea. Almost 3 pm. Told that they were not doing sandwiches, only cakes. Several staff having their break at same time, the terrace was an absolute disgrace with tables near the balcony covered with discarded lunch plates. We ate our cake which was very tasty and reasonably priced. It is a pity in the height of summer that the lakeside was show cased so poorly.

Absolutely lovely place and the lakeside restaurant so lovely and quaint and clean food delicious - town is quite small but great if going for drive in the country well enjoyed liked the fountain in the lake too a mini loch Ness great for the kids too

We took our 8 year old nephew along with his mother and father to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon, it was lovely. Our nephew had a great time in the play area, followed by a trip around the lake on a peddalow, then a late lunch and Icecream to follow. It was a well spent afternoon, the food was well cooked even if the menu was a little limited.

Had a voucher for afternoon tea it rang out end of June. I went in to see if they would extend it answer was definitely NO. I was offered £10 worth of cake which I didn’t want.

Visited today with my partner and his 92 yr old mum. We all ordered the caramelized onion quiche, which came with chips, coleslaw and salad. The quiche was the best we've ever tasted. Really short pastry, plenty of deep delicious moist filling. The chips were super too.

Well first the good news: dogs are welcome (Although I couldn’t see anything g to indicate this so they’re missing potential business here)!We were able to sit on the balcony overlooking the Welsh equivalent of the Loch Ness monster! This was great fun and watching the birds in the lake gave something for the dogs to be distracted with while I cracked on with breakfast. No one came out so after some time I went in to find we had to order (again nothing to advise us).

One of the best cafe / restaurant locations around - looking out over The Lake with the dragon fountain directly in front. We called in on a Sunday when the restaurant had its carvery in full swing but the staff were still happy to serve us just drinks and cake - generous sized cake at that and of good quality. Coffee was good too. Would happily call in here again next time we are in town.

It is well worth the short walk up and over a small hill to see the lake and dragon. There's also a nice cafe right on the water front and upstairs viewing area.

We had a lovely family lunch here, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, the staff we spoke to were very knowledgeable about gluten free options and the food was delicious! Good price, large portions and great to find a gluten free carvery option too! Thank you! We can recommend and will be back soon. Plus - parking outside and wonderful view too.

Is there such a thing as a perfect Sunday Lunch ? Answer, YES. There are a lot of restaurants in the Llandrindod Wells area and most of them are very good. having said that I must tell you about one, its Special. Perfectly cooked food, lots of variety, very good service and attention. The dining room is lovely with good views from the large windows. You really must visit the Lakeside Restaurant on a Sunday, it really is the best. Congratulation Lakeside you will see me again and again. Douglas.

This could be a great asset to the community and it's totally wasted with the current operator. Left to stand in the doorway, totally ignored and no eye contact from the staff who looked miserable and unwelcoming. Saturdays lunch special Baked Potato with Marie Rose Sauce?? Vista tables left not cleared and no idea on where or how to proceed we decided to go home and make our own lunch. Thankful we checked it out before taking guests at Easter.

Good basic food but that is as good as it gets. Staff unhelpful to the point of rude. Tried to place an order at the counter totally ignored. The only person with a smile was the lady clearing the tables.

My friend and I decided to call into Lakeside for a cup of tea! Mistake! The first sight that greeted us right in front of the entrance was spilt food and some was well trodden into the carpet - no attempt had been made to clear this. Seating was limited due to several uncleared tables - in fact some tables were not cleared for over an hour. No waitress service - my friend had to carry a tray of 2teapots, cups and saucers, and milk jug from the counter to the conservatory. She is not young!! The table must have been from a pub as there were numerous ring marks from glasses! No table covers! What has happened to Lakeside? It is in a lovely setting but I felt it has become grubby!! The spilt food was still on the carpet when we left an hour later!!!!

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon drive, hoping to find a cup of coffee and perhaps a cake and what we found exceeded our expectations.

Very nice views and service was good but food was only ok, my chips had black bits from the fryer on them so didn't eat them. Lots of tables so even if it's busy u can find a seat.

We always stop off here on our way to Tenby to see the lake and the dragon. We have seen this Cafe develop over the years. It's a lovely place to stop and eat with views over the lake.

we visited with friends who live in the area to firstly enjoy the views around the lake and then yo both enjoy the food and drinks in the restaurant which were great value and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We arrived just as quite a lot of other people did, and we all stood in a queue whilst one lady did her best to serve us all. There were two other people who were obviously staff who watched, but failed to help, and at one point pushed past me to ask the lady doing all the work a question. Shame, cause the coffees and cakes were lovely, and the view from the balcony fabulous.

We drove 45 minutes to check this place out, based on trip advisor reviews. They only do a carvery on Sunday so we went with it as there was no other option..Having thought long and hard, I really cannot remember having a worse Sunday roast.. I didn't bother with the beef as it was the driest looking piece of meat I've even seen, forget pink the middle, this was so far beyond well done it looked inedible. The roast potatoes (all 2 of them) were the only decent element to the meal, the rest was tasteless and the veg had lost their colour, boiled to oblivion by the looks.. needless to say we wouldn't return here again

On a sunny summer's day we sat on the cafe's balcony overlooking the lake with its ducks geese and swans while we sipped our mid morning mochas - perfection!

The ambiance is good very clean and well laid out, the views from the large windows overlooking the lake are excellent, loved watching the wildlife, swans ducks geese. After that I'm afraid it goes downhill the service is poor and our meal was disappointing perhaps it was a one off. I might try again one day in the meantime though there are lots of good restaurants in Llandrindod Wells. Perhaps its just me.

Had a nice lunchtime visit. Was nice to sit on the balcony overlooking the lake. The food was well cooke and tasted nice. Got a bigger portion than i expected.

What a good decision to book this venue for our mum's 90th birthday party. The staff were very helpful and attentive, helping out with any requests. Nothing too much trouble. The conservatory was rather warm on a very hot afternoon but open doors onto terrace made it much more pleasant. Stunning backdrop for photos. Buffet was plentiful and varied, cakes very dainty. Tea and coffee as required. All our guests really enjoyed the party and praised the venue.

My mum recently celebrated her birthday with a cream tea for friends & family at The Lakeside. We couldn't fault it as both the service and food/drink were excellent. Highly recommended (you may have to pre-book cream tea I am not sure) but the family have all eaten there on various occasions & the food has always been first class (especially the Sunday Carvery) with friendly service as well as the restaurant occupying a beautiful & picturesque view over the water.

The Lakeside is a spotlessly clean café looking down onto the lake below and beyond. There is an indoor café and a large outdoor raised terrace. We had coffee and toasted teacakes that were very good. We walked around the lake which is situated in a lovely quiet spot with plenty seating . From the lakeside we also ventured up through the bluebell woods and to the top of the hill where we had a view down over Llandrindod Wells. Below the café there was a shop selling touristy items. Car parking is plentiful and free. We would definitely visit again when in this area.

I was passing through Llandrindod Wells and arranged to meet up with a friend at lunchtime, so was recommended The Lakeside which I didn't know existed.Being a cafe the layout was clean and tidy with a nice view over the lake and although the menu had a minimal choice it was a nice meal and a relaxing break of journey.We went for a walk around the lane afterwards and overall it was a nice break of journey for me as well as for meeting my friend who must like the place to have recommended it.

I visit places as a dog owner so dog friendliness is my first concern. The Lakeside is not dog friendly but there is a outdoor balcony seating area where you are welcome The cafe itself does a good cup of coffee and wonderful cakes. There is a breakfast menu as well as lunch and afternoon teas. The location is stunning, plenty of walks to shed those extra calories that you will not be able to say no too.Free wifi is available

All food is freshly cooked at this excellent location. The menu is very good and prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent and staff very friendly. Nice walk available around the lake and the place is very clean.

Four adults meeting up for an impromptu lunch before a stuffy meeting. Airy room with a healthy turnover of customers from diverse backgrounds. Excellent food: sandwiches, toastie and burger all nicely presented and promptly served. Varied light menu with a handful of appetising specials. It would be easy to stay for more than an hour chatting over lunch in such a pleasant environment.

Beverages Good. Access for disabled good but steep for elderly or weaker wheelchair pushers or self propellers. Steep to descend too.

We booked for lunch on Mothering Sunday which was our first visit to the carvery.We were not disappointed, although the restaurant was fully booked, there was no queue and we were made to feel very welcome by Belinda and the two waitresses.There was a choice of 3 meats, very generous portions and a really good selection of vegetables everything tasting really delicious. The waitresses came over to check if everything was ok and were so pleasant and seemed genuinely eager to please. We could see that fresh food was being brought out to the servery continually.Our meal was rounded off with some wicked home made desserts and we left feeling that we had enjoyed our meal so much that we will definitely be paying a return visit very soon.We've eaten a fair few Sunday lunches in and around Llandrindod but this was by far the best that we have experienced and would definitely recommend a visit.

Decided to pop in for a coffee and some cake on a cold snowy afternoon, clean spacios dining area, service was good, prices were reasonable, lovely views over looking the lake

This was our first visit and we didn't expect more than coffee and a biscuit. What we got was a well-lit, pleasantly decorated, clean and spacious dining room. The menu was simple but broad and inexpensive. The staff were friendly and cheerful and the meal and coffee was hot, delicious and cleverly presented.Thank you Lakeside.

Peaceful location with great view of the wildlife on and around the lake. Good selection of food and drinks.In the shop downstairs there are beautiful wooded objects lovingly turned in local wood with amazing grain by local artisans, such as Adey Parker.

As a lover of lattes I think I can honestly say that this is one of the best I've ever had! So much we stopped for two. I had a lovely slice of victoria sandwich cake to go with it which was delicious. My parents had toasted teacakes and they said both were really good. Where you sit you have a good view of the lake and the dragon in the middle. Dog walkers are welcome, with seating provided outside, unfortunately not inside, for you. The hot food being served to other patriots smelled lovely - especially the chips and the jacket potatoes. Underneath the cafe lake side is a gift shop selling the usual things, but be aware credit cards are not accepted. Wifi is available in the cafe and the pw was on display. Staff were friend and polite, delivering excellent service. Toilets were clean. Will definitely be back.

I was born in Llandrindod wells and spent many happy days up at the Lake. Nice to see the restaurant back in use with a good menu.Good location and very peaceful near the waterside.Nice place to take an hour or so to 'chill out'.Worth a visit.

November 5th was my first ever visit at Lakeside. We ordered roast dinners which were very nice and reasonably priced, What let the place down though was the lack of concern by the staff regarding the cleanliness of the tables.Many empty tables were dirty with small pieces of food stuffs scattered all over them. We had to search for a table which was acceptable. We bought a coffee each which we drank in the restaurant. We then went for a walk of about 40 mins before returning to the Restaurant for lunch. To our surprise our empty coffee cups were still sitting on the table where we left them! This whilst the three staff were chatting with each other. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff seemed somewhat disorganised. Maybe the hygiene would be better on a different day with different staff. You decide!

If you want to take someone special for a memorable meal theis is the place to come. Overlooking a golf course alongside the River severn and a small lake with woodland on the other.In the woodland are wooden Chalet which are kept to a high standard

Lakeside, is a stop is for the tired and hungry, guaranteed. fantastic food brilliant staff , our last stop was on Sunday 30.11.16 the last one for the season.What a service, our meal was excellent, and the price fantastic. Visited for a light lunch on a very rainy day so probably didn't see it at its best. This restaurant/café overlooks a small lake in quite a picturesque location. Internally it is not as inspiring as we had hoped, but it was warm and quite comfortable. The menu was also relatively uninspiring and the food not particularly well presented, but it filled a hole. The staff were ok without ever really making you feel that they were glad you had arrived. Can't help feeling that an opportunity is being lost here, unless we visited on a bad day.

What a lovely setting and ideal for a early morning walk with brilliant views around the lake and the friendly Waterfowl.

Fantastic location and although at first glance the prices seem expensive they're not for what you get. Very large portions but more importantly freshly made and tasty. You need to pre-book a cream tea which we didn't know about so it may be worth doing that the day before doing one of the many 4-5 mile walks available in the area.

Recently called in for lunch at this very pretty café right on the lakeside in the park. Ate outside on the balcony over looking all the swans, ducks etc in the lake below us. Was served by a very friendly and polite lady. We both had fish and chips and the fish was cooked to perfection. Chips excellent too. Felt quite full but couldn't resist buying two slices of their Eton mess cake to take home to have later. What can I say about that, well .... Mmmmmm - simply gorgeous. Not exactly cheap but so well worth it.

We visited on Sunday for a reunion with family members. The location is pretty and the green house seating is attractive.We ordered drinks and waited for the rest of the party to arrive.The service is friendly and fast, although none of the staff seemed happy to be there really.. lack of enthusiasm oozed from them. The food was pretty standard, nothing special and my lemon tart wasn't very lemony. Tasteless almost. All the food was. We had beef roast. We enjoyed our visit but nothing stood out as spectacular which I kind of expected considering the location and potential the place has to be high end dining. I won't be in a rush to return.

Very nice place to eat ! Simple food made really nice. Only downside was my friends had to wait a little while for their food, but overall a lovely place to have some food and walk around the lake.

My family and i had a delicious Sunday lunch yesterday at the lakeside ,roast beef cooked to perfection and plenty of fresh vegetables and gravy and service with a smile . It was our eldest grandsons birthday and because he is very shy he didn't want any fuss ,we had bought a birthday cake for him and the ladies there allowed us to serve it for dessert ,which was much appreciated . Hope to eat there again soon . Sorry about the mess ladies .Thanks again.

Lovely place for a coffee and a stroll or just to chill out Inside and outside seating. Lovely well presented food and friendly courteous staff.

We called in here whilst away for bank holiday weekend, was beautiful and lovely views of the lake on a glorious sunny day.We only had a lite bite, but what we had was lovely & the staff was really friendly.Would definitely return again if in the area again.
